if you had Said that year ago Pernix about PFD I would have said you was of your rocker . A reality maybe sometime but no longer fantasy ! Did anyone see Boohoo update this morning share price still dropped on that fantastic trading result. In current climate who knows what you need to report to impress the city ! I did well at last PFD update & managed to sell my holding before it dropped into the 80's where I bought back in. I can believe this would happen again but looking at Boo it makes you review your tactics. Deja vu ?
Good to see plenty of Doc Martin customers on herel after one post I visited the website I am amazed how much you can pay for a pair of docs these days !!!!! wow
I reckon 130p to 140p is fair value PFD shares short term. Scan of retail results today makes me think so. Bricks n Mortar retailers hit by higher CoVid operating costs like Tesco up this today. Then they pay back Gov money they got last year. Sinks their overall profit. Hoping for higher sales growth & margins from PFD, marketeers spot on. Also all that company debt reduction to come. Just my opinion, DYOR & good luck to all
Mixed bag of updates from major competitors but food side generally up. Hopefully bodes well for our upcoming results
We had a bumper delivery from Waitrose last Friday , 27 carrier bags although some were half empty. Only a handful of substitutions, mostly their own brands. Happy to report Sharwoods, Loyd G and Ambrosia all present and correct, many on promotion.
Has been banned in Scotland.
All Waitrose shops nationwide have temporarily stopped
click and collect.
And now speculation that if restrictions are tightened futher
it will be outlawed in the UK.
Is this relevant to PFD?, possible reduction in sales...
Sold lots of these at £1.06 hoping the sp would go back down but it didn't, still time for it to drop again now to £1 and I will top up before it makes it's way up to £1.20.
Nissin have done quite nicely on their investment so far......I think that they came on board at around 52p. Having said that, a dividend would obviously suit them nicely as well.

Equity method affiliate. To make them a consolidated subsidiary.
Do Nissin still have a member on the board?
If Nissin are stake building. Could the capital reduction be orchestrated by the nissin partnership, in order to start paying divi. So it benefits their balance sheet too. Without a takeover.
At the close of business did anyone else notice bid price over 113p and ask price at 102p with sp at 107??
I suspect there will be some large trades showing at the close of business tomorrow as these orders are filled.
I really hope its nissin stake building in the open market. Could they be working towards a hostile takeover? Or is that a farfetched idea
Well, today wasnt too bad. Like a lot on here, I have been here for years. You never know whats coming next, but agree with kallumama that today could be in readiness for April, as they have to go to court in Feb for further approvals. Where is a better place to invest at the moment. Wow, further rises to come. 19th has to be more good / positive news. Maybe an update on brexit changes
Is a bit like playing a pokie, but a lot less predictable.
Having secured about the top selling price of the day
I'm poised to take another bite, if an attractive entry become available,
If not, so be it.
I've added to ABF today under 2190, I was hoping that might
drift towards 2050, but not such luck atm.
If anyone is looking for an idea, Amino (AMO) may, stress on May
be worth a look.
I’m feeling bullish but we’ve seen it all before with the share price , I was primed to add another 10k sub £1 but didn’t do it . Now I’m hesitant just in case a drop happens.
Rns out. Resolution passed
Not selling. Understand why people would though.
Luck to holders.
Luck to holders.
Lucky, I have a similar dilemma. Having many years of owning PFD stock thinking I was lumbered with a tiny of a company. Circumstances are, that now there's no interest on any savings, I don't have faith in the future to splash out on big treats, but have long memories of frustration with this company. But do concede, this are looking particularly good. ATB
I was going to review it a week today and probably sell a chunk before the announcement. As you say, it usually goes down on the day.......but my finger is on the trigger already !
I assume that we will get an RNS later today on the result of the P&L meeting
Looks like it's going to try hit the top of the upper trend line at 114ish even before the update. Question is will it break higher on the results, which will be very bullish. Or is it buy the rumour, sell the fact again.
Any thoughts?
itchy trigger finger , suspense is killing me ! Will report rocket PFD into the hemsiphere or see it drop like a stone like it usually does. Any other share i hold I would be confident of a solid rise but as a long time holder like me that feeling of doom is always there. Good luck all long term holders regardless of your decision .
Was primed to buy on a dip but doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen .
Just over 20% of Wittington Investments is owned by the Weston family.
54.5% of ABF is owned by Wittington Investments - £15 million is a drop
In the ocean in the context of his total holding.
ABF is valued at over £17 bn.
With respect, you sound out of your depth on ABF,
perhaps smaller companies and cakes are more your area,
Good fortune.
IF PFD hits +110 at results time I will eat my hat & off course sell my holding.
That snippet of info on ABF was intended for Kall as he recently posted
on the ABF board and may not understand the ownership structure
of ABF.
I've taken two recent bites of PFD, as previously mentioned.
