Wishing a happy Christmas and prosperous new year to all holders. This time next year we'll all be millionaires.
Rich62: I agree that 120p is within reach and 120p-130p near term is reasonable given the PFD turnaround story. On a PFD/Sector re-rating and the potential of a Takeover Bid will see shares shoot higher still IMO. Lots to like here. Maybe announcement of the re-start to Dividends & timetable for this will fire up the shares as will a strategic fit acquisition. Merry Xmas to All.
Looks like we are pushing back over 100p - good to see.
Holding here expecting 120p on 19th Jan when Q3 results are out.
A combination of lockdown + Xmas shopping should see continued strong sales growth IMO.
Finally feels that PFD have turned corner - hoping that strong results will see more debt repaid and share re-rated,
Good luck all holders and have a very merry Christmas!
Rich
Yes we need to grow by buying more good products but we need products to fill the summer months that's where we are falling short, and I guess the bod's must know that.
Will normally come out in second week of Jan to cover the last qtr, so not long to wait now and should be great.
I wouldn’t call a five times increase in nine months moving slowly.........but some folks think it has a way to go yet.
I liked this one but it moves very slowly, I moved to vodafone to get dividends but thinking I may split and wait and see, what are your thoughts please?
Re: SP . Maybe Algo auto share trading. Yesterday’s PFD fall, no recovery today. Not account for news flow as we see it in real time. No worries, lag time will catch up. Solid results ahead, that’s not speculative and it’s real positive cash flows into PFD coffers !
I think once everyone believes there could be shortages and many / most now staying at home for Christmas the SP should be well over a £1 with next qtrs numbers looking very good.
Sp will bounce back , especially if the media keeps on mentioning possible food shortages ( Dover ) there will be a run on our mince pies ! ( hopefully ) ; )
Rude not to.
Obvs these falls may Not justbe a one day event.
Yes, we are always at the front of the queue when it comes to percentage drops. 6% so far today....undoing all the good work from last week.
I would have thought today with all the troubles we would see the sp going up, but there is still time today so don't panic.
Nobody has an answer that would satisfy the masses.
It's nearly beyond a solution.
whats the answer brain box ?
Dogger. I reckon this is just the latest shambolic and knee jerk reaction from an administration that has lost it's way, from Cheltenham and Twickenham events, to open airports with no checks, to schools, to 10pm closing times to mass testing, it's been a complete joke and totally illogical. I predict there will be massive non-compliance over the Christmas period by a fed up and increasingly scepitcal nation.
This latest lockdown is brilliant news.....all those who were entertaining for Christmas have already bought double doses of paxo......now all those who have been told to stop at home will have to go and buy some paxo !!
I think my my short term holding sell price is in the bag for next week now.
So this is why we had the rise Friday. Next week will be interesting !!
Another positive story
From Yahoo Finance 1/12/2020.. DYOR as usual
Premier Foods (LSE: PFD) has been a challenging investment to hold over the past two years. However, over the past 12-months, the corporation has seen a surge in demand for its products.
This has produced some much-needed cash flow for the company, which has allowed it to reduce debt and reduced its pension obligations. Now, the business looks well-placed to grow for the next few years.
I think 2021 could see a significant re-rating for the stock, which has commanded somewhat of an uncertainty discount over the past few years. Profits are expected to hit nearly £90m in 2021. That’s the highest level since the financial crisis. Despite this, the shares continue to trade at a discount of around 50% to their market average.
On top of this, the market doesn’t seem to me to truly appreciate Premier’s long-term growth potential. Similar businesses in the US are trading at significantly higher valuations, which suggests to me the stock could double or triple in the near term.
For a 6% rise on Friday......or is it just pfd being pfd ?
probably arguing wit the investor relations dept. Will sell my holding if it hits anything near the old high price next week.
perfect timing I feel it s nearly time to decrust my 1960 warres vintage
