Its the Q3 sales update for PFD. With Tesco food sales up over 3%, Sainsburys and Morrisons up over 2%.......how can GD possibly fail this time ????
I believe we are due a trading update on Q4 (+ Christmas sales) on16th January 2018. I wait with baited breath !!!!
How out of date is their report??? Quorn??? Branston???? Look at the target price. Is this a scam? $3.25 = a 21.72% upside. Buyers beware.
so if good news expected and the share price being killed by greedy market makers trying to accumulate stocks at a lower price by breaking stop losses. private investors can just buy at the killed price. In November just before half year interim results the best price was near market close day before the results.
After such a nasty drop on Friday I was quite shocked to read this ?? Can only hope it's true ! https://www.americanbankingnews.com/2018/01/06/premier-foods-prrfy-upgraded-at-zacks-investment-research.html Premier Foods (OTCMKTS:PRRFY) was upgraded by Zacks Investment Research from a hold rating to a buy rating in a research report issued to clients and investors on Saturday. Richin, We can start a website dedicated to expose dodgy listed companies.........we can get revenue from advertising by trading platforms and fund managers.
felt by all on this BB, however, there will be a ''twist'' to this whole Mc Cormick saga
Agree. I think the FCA slumbered through gd's ever-changing story and activity around the McCormick/Nissin timing, which should have seen him ousted, and potentially locked up. Yes, there should infact be a listed company hall of shame that names and shames every wrong doing company executive that has failed to uphold shareholder best interests, Darby would be in the top 10 for sure. I also believe these people should then be stripped of any shares or options and be made compulsory unemployable therafter. Maybe then and only then will this kind of carry on abait. Makes my blood boil thinking about it. Regards Richard
How unusual the sp inexplicably collapsing for no apparent reason. Why why did I ever have faith in GD and this turd of a company ?
It doesnt matter, most listed companies are slaves to banks who lend them money but make more on insider info they get. There was money to be made by someone if this SP stayed lower hence the rejection of the offers..........listed companies should be debt free, no LTIPs, no issuing of shares except rights issue and all execs must hold huge number of share with zero hedging.

Re price rigging, I see it slightly differently - moving share prices around is part of the game that fund managers, market makers use to generate income. PIs need to be aware that this happens and not worry too much, but focus on the long term performance of business and share price which should correlate. In fact many PIs not monitoring movements constantly, won't even be aware of large swings that occur, often for no apparent reason. PFD price has been fairly stable for a period at close, but can be up / down 2-3% within minutes as algo trades swing the price around on low volume. Today nothing has changed (that I am aware of with the company performance) so I just take it that share has been driven down to shake the tree a bit and accumulate some more shares. This then becomes an opportunity for traders, who add to the volatility. I don't see how the FCA can regulate this, as its just IIs taking positions prior to results. Where the FCA have to get involved is with insider dealing, falsification of financial information etc. Just my thoughts for what it's worth..Rich
Thanks for that - most interesting. Here's hoping, but I won't hold my breath. The UK needs an overseer of the FCA; in my opinion, to rid the investment community of people like gd.
AAT, thank you for the acknowledgement of my post, its refreshing to hear that I have come accross another like minded soul.... You are correct in that the levy pay the levy but in more recent times the FCA for what they are worth, if pushed and pressured have to investigate, especially if enough evidence or data is force fed to them, they do actually have to act. The problem thus far is that most people do not realise that the stock markets are being so heavily manipulated, they are too busy with day to day life making ends meet, which is why most have a dabble in stocks and shares in the hope they gain a bit more financial wealth. Its only those such as us (limited in number) for whatever reason have become to notice these "coincedences" and "patterns" happening time and time again in the stock market. Most people would brush it off as bad luck or find another excuse as to why they supposedly made a bad choice, like "im not cut out for investing" etc, unfortunately with my many years of experience in the field I have now not only identified this manipulation but I have actually taken a stand and intend to do something about it and I do not care one iota who I bring down with me, as like I said, no one will get away with stealing whilst I am on watch. The reason I have been able to receive feedback from them is from an old former contact of the then FSA, we were both involved in a project whereby the company in question was cooking the books and we both lost substantial amounts, it was only when she herself had been affected personally that she took it seriously, game keeper turned poacher if you like. Incidently we were both compensated and she subsequently left the FSA and became a mainstream lawyer, we still keep in touch hence the contact I have. Anyway, I wont be saying anymore on the matter as I really dont want these manipulators getting anymore heads up than what I have already said, if my case was not already so far advanced I would not be saying anything, however I am quite optimistic and confident that I am already ahead of the game, so care little about them now. All the best Richard
The FCA is a joke. I pursued some comment from them, some months after it became public knowledge that they were investigating Premier Foods with regards to the shenanigans around share dealing and darby's actions around the mccormicks fiasco, and they would not confirm or deny that they were or weren't even investigating anything at all - 'just check our website' was all they could offer, 'if they want the public to know anything, they will post it there'....the conclusion I drew from their responses was that the FCA is largely in the pockets of the people they are supposed to be holding to account. The FCA stay in shadows and in the boardrooms of the companies they are supposed to be investigating, so I'm surprised to hear you actually received any feedback from them at all. They are part of the problem. I should say that I couldn't agree more with your post. I thought I was reading something I might have written, lol.
Good evening, call me old fashioned but some months ago I took the task of reporting unusual and suspicious moves in stock prices that I believe are being manipulated to the FCA. I run a select group for private investors that have/are experiencing the same. So far we have collectively collated LOTS of valuable data, which in due course we hope to prove that the stock market is without a doubt rigged, I would say we are 75% there )) I currently have an ongoing case with the FCA regarding strange movements in stock prices that I believe are due to manipulation and in tandem we are building a case of our own should their investigation come to nothing, which is sadly often the case with the FCA. However, and due to the extent that certain stocks are being IMO manipulated the "game" shall we say is becoming ever more obvious, well at least to us it is . I have duly reported for no apparent reason the more than 7% drop in PFD today which IMO is highly suspicious, what with the trading update due out in around a week and to have so much volume toady and lose so much value stinks of some kind of manipulation. If ypu look back to the last trading statement the same event occured, a few days before the trading statement the share price got hammered only for it to go back up to the same level once the trading statement had been released. I beleive that the next trading statement will more likely be a positive one like the last and that someone has been given the nod so the "market" have deliberately taken the price down so as no one that entered PFD recently makes a profit and long term holders gain nothing either. I have explained my theory to the FCA as I did on the last occasion, last time it played out exactly as I told them it would, I am hoping that this will be the case this time as well, then IMO the MM and representatives of PFD including house brokers PR and NOMADS and even possibly persons working in the finance department at PFD need to be investigated as clearly there is a mole somewhere within the PFD chain and they are leaking inside information to the market and the market and its mechanics are acting on it. For the record and on a seperate note, I think that Gavin Darby is an utter disgrace and should have been removed a long time ago, what with his rejecting of the offer and convenienltly timed Nissin tie up also smacked of skullduggery. Utter disgrace IMHO and I take market rigging just as serious as someone stealing from me, its bad enough when companies such as Carillion and Afren do what they did, let alone the supposed custodians of our shares doing as they please as well. If anyone involved in todays shenanigans is reading this, which I am sure there will be, do watch out as WE and THEY are onto you and WE or THEY will get you. Good luck genuine shareholders and its about time someone took a stand rather than letting these modern day highway men rob you blind whilst at work or asleep!
I agree....could be the price is being driven down now by the insiders trading, as the results are going to half-decent and the share price will be up. Used to be the sp would rise before results, which were always poor, so they could sell off; could be the opposite is now happening. Trying to be positive, haha
Agree someone is "messing about with this share", no large buys, but also no large sells either. Certainly not being driven lower to fill buy orders. Perhaps a bounce on Monday?
Any sign of big buys? There was very little reason for the share price to rise to 43p+ recently but even less reason for it to drop 7.4% in one day!!!! Someone is messing big time with this share.
Going to be contrary here - I reckon next set of results will be good due to cold weather. High frequency / shorter driving down to get more shares. Expect big, big late buys at low price. Predict 45p plus on 16th. Gla holders Rich
i think Darby has to call McCormick, apologise then ask them to buy us out.
Most of us would have been in another stock after cashing out on the 65p offer or better still an improved offer. This dumb CEO is something else.
would not rule out a profit warning, we normally do not get through 2 consecutive quarter without a disaster from the CEO. Remember his middle name is "Always jam tomorrow, but never when tomorrow becomes today" Over a week left and the brokers are already destroying the share price.
Who knows - profit warning ?? We havent had one yet this year
Big drop today, anything brewing?
