Jed, nothing matter with putting your hard earned cash into any stock you have faith in giving a return, regardless if you use gut feelings, research or the advice of so called experts. Kall & co, I appreciate all your comments and contributions made on this board. Holding PFD stock for years to me has always been a frustration, even more so now I'm in profit. The bottom line for me, is that I can't think of any where better to park my cash despite the ongoing daily nonsense battering the SP

Having being in this stock for over 5 years. I recall that good trading updates usually results in the SP dropping and every other excuse also causes it to drop. Fortunately, most of us will now be in profit. In the absence of any other saving options, PFD seems to be the a decent stock to stay in, despite the ongoing frustrations. GLA
On the attached "PFD share news", it is stated that "Premier Foods has sold its 49% stake in bread maker Hovis to UK private equity firm Endless, with proceeds of £37m to be used to strengthen the balance sheet.
Did we not expect a sale of £150m ??
I'm quite liking our latest team, slowly slowly things seem to be going well. Glad I stayed in.
Kallumama, I really appreciate the effort that you put into providing the great information. All the time I sat on a paper loss with these shares, your comments played a part in me not bailing out. However, I disagree with your comments regarding the value of marketing, especially when most of the products did look dated. Hopefully the next update will be very good news for us and just possibly, may help the sp
blue, most of us are new to this. I've had PFD shares for over 4 years. Hated the experience. Never seems to be any logic, I suspect that because there are relatively a low number of daily trades, somehow the sp can be controlled by the chosen ones. GLA
After having PFD shares for a few years, nothing is surprising. The sp drop's often inexplicably, positive trading results also usually have the same effect "on the day that they are released". I suppose that the good thing, is that most of us are now finally in profit. In the absence of any interest on most present savings accounts. The best advice recently posted by I forget who, was wake me up when we get to £1. GLA
Apparently there are some companies, that you just invest into for a very long time. The SP just bob's along with minimal variation and the company even pay's a dividend.
Even in profit, I am still frustrated about many aspects of PFD. But in the absence of any interest on any savings accounts, I will be staying in.
I wonder if some how it's going to be muzzled at this level for the foreseeable future in order to maximize the appeal top any take over prospects. Not that I'm complaining, years of holding this stock and finally I have a decent profit. GLA
