Crikey, and I thought I used to work in a profession full of hyperbole! I'll reserve judgment on whether all shareholders , big and small, get equally fair treatment out of this. Hoping so, and hoping that Shead is the strong man of integrity he appears to be...Can't really say more until ins and outs are known.
Why should it. It will be business as usual.
Will this attack in France have any impact on the timeline of releasing the judgement in the case
Many may have quit before this protracted court case. Mr Shead did not because he is probably a man of principle and knew they were unlawfully disposed of their assets. I have first hand experience of this in Africa and not pleasant. At least they had a treaty in place so that such an issue can be meet with full recourse and appropriate compensation. So well done Mr Shead for having the stomach for the battle, a lesser mortal would have wilted on the journey and accepted the Uzbeks offers of which I am sure they have made a few. Mr Shead has gone the distance to gain appropriate and fair compensation for all investors and I like many applaud him. We are all here and quantum IMHO must be announced this year because they have had sufficient time IMHO. We cannot fault Mr Shead who cannot control the legal formalities.
Well said
AceOfLife,... Post Recommended,.... respect to our BOD, for the way they have fought our corner (Win or Lose). BW
Why somebody would sell 23000 shares at 3.88p when the sp is moving past 4p you have to be desperate
Good post agreed with you RS has played a straight bat I don't think people intentionally dis him most is born out of the frustration of the waiting game we are in it is notable that he hasn't sold any shares on the spike which he did a few years ago (which you couldn't blame him for spiking on 6p with 3years plus to go) It is also notable that a month has gone by and there is still no sign of Darwin or Trident selling any of their holding also it looks as if Funky G was only taking some pocket money so all is good
Fantastic post
AceOflife Well said. He has more to lose than any of us and yet all we do is moan about him as if it his fault. he wants to win as much as we do so lets stick together and give MR Shead some credit for what he has achieved so far..
100% and could not have put it better myself.
For those of you determined to gripe and moan about anyything Mr Shead says, may I remind you... 1. He worked his fingers to the bone to create a producing gold mine only to have it taken from him by armed men 2. He and his staff were forced to flee after one was arrested and jailed for years - for having content on his laptop that could be googled. He no doubt feels some guilt for this 3. He hasn't taken a salary in years 4. He moved his office to a telephone in the corner of someone else's room 5. He has a his financial future tied up in the result more than anyone on here In spite of the oppression and intimidation by A COUNTRY, he took the battle to them to protect not only his interest but all of ours. He could have diluted to hell and back and continued to rape Oxus but has done the opposite, surviving on a shoestring. He wants the decision more than any of us. Win or lose, the man is a hero in my book. So leave your petty, 'I think very near is nearer than now' bull. He said he was advised by his lawyers. He isn't in control of when it arrives. Now that he has an apatite for legal perhaps after the result he could have a couple of you in court for your slanderous suggestions.
I also dont think Shead is playing any game...what would be the point....any value will only be appreciated after the result....whether the sp is 2p or 4p does not matter to Shead...unless he sells, and imo if he was gong to sell any before the result he would be talking this up big time...but he isnt, so i think that he believes that it will shortly all be over........imo before Xmas
I'm with you Shwmae. Possible 10 bagger 40p or thereabout maybe more. SOON OR VERY SOON does it matter? Taken in the context of how long this saga has been going it will be weeks. My guess by end of this month and if not a nice Christmas present.
Come on Petty Jarmies on and up the wooden hill there's another big week ahead
Hi Castaway..maybe... About RS losing credibility with PIs; under normal circumstances with an ongoing concern, maybe that would be the case, but let's face it, he could say anything really...there is no comeback - only the result. I hope and (try to) trust that he is an upstanding bloke.
the result is due soon. If not soon he will lose credibility unless there are exceptional circumstances. So imminent IMO
Was it LseLee or Luckyman who phoned Capt Shead a few weeks ago and reported that he was outraged and totally indignant at the suggestion that he 'misplaced' the phrase "very near future" for ulterior motives.. Whichever one of you it was, you then went on to say his reaction was real....but now you are doubting this yourself, as facts of time outweighs emotion? Fair enough. Ruby has elicited the same response over a period of time and now Aimtitan. Seems the old South African skipper has mellowed with age..maybe he knows we're about to receive something special, or maybe he's just reconciled to the wait Or maybe he's playing a canny old game, regards first RAB and ongoing Darwin. Without interest of a near-term resolution, this could have dipped quite sharply, but with the ever present and contemporaneous carrot of "very near" there's always buyers around to pick up the sells (approx 3.9-4.1p) If he is playing this game, I don't blame him, but would be a tad naughty, if admittedly canny. He realises, I'm sure, that all those phone calls will be reported back on here - and then passed to other boards. Anyway, in the final analysis, I suppose it doesn't matter much (as long as we don't lose!). There's really only 3 ways of judging this bet as a good one.. 1) The ongoing Gibbons holding, as I think he might be getting a knowing smile or frown from above (god I mean) 2) Calunius backing, albeit the risk has already been taken, win or lose, so that's almost a retro reinforcement 3) Shead's own shareholding, but I'm not so sure he would know enough anyway to sell - and , if he is a loyal old fashioned gent, maybe he'll hold anyway and go down with the ship. Good luck everyone. Hopefully next week (woof, please resist the temptation to hound, thanks..shake hands, all forgotten)
Maybe he meant be rewarded in the future. Getting close to the end of the year and if no news by then we will know never to listen to RS again regarding dates. Any dates that he gives will be viewed as one for his own agenda .imo
nit picking...but I noticed RS had dropped the word "very" i.e. rewarded "soon" and not "very soon"...so are we back to the "near future" and not the "very near future" now?...lol :) Anticipation and expectation is building and after a dull couple of weeks here, I think next week it will start to hot up nicely round these parts. Everything seems to be pointing to an award being in the pipeline, but how much is the question, imo multiples of the current market cap. I'm not selling a single share...a 3.90p share now, could be worth 10 times that in next week or two if the verdict and award is favourable. Roll on next week I say....gla
Next week....
warm the coffee up in the microwave,
Yep that's what suprised me, then again he did persitantly say Investors will be given fair value in the RNS's, he's never backed down from that
If he said that investors will be rewarded 'soon', that is confirmation of a win. He can't promise a reward if he knows we have lost. Depends on his exact wording I suppose
Did he mention Xmas present?
