Was it not "love thy neighbour", "forgive those that trespass against you" . I remember dana, I really liked her and often pondered on the thought for a while
ahhh..."Love thy neighbour"... The fabled 1970s Sitcom from yesteryear, where a black couple and white family each pitted their 'wits' against each other with racist slurs and epithets. It did for race relations what "On the Buses" did for equality. I hear that Onion was the Producer for both series
Some smarter bloke that you lot once said "Love your neighbour" "Forgive your enemies" and "turn the other cheek". He was smarter than you lot and all your secular politicians who insisted on invading Iraq and then tried to play politics in Syria. Anyway - Dana won a case - why don't you ponder on that one a while...
Oh I see...apologies ...didn't read the previous thread.. Three Hail Marys, Confession and bring along some nails and a hammer. I deserve it.
How can you use the term " the return of jesus " that would make you an orthodox Christian as in the religious world some religions either believe that the messiah is yet to come, some think that the messiah never existed and never will, some worship mary not her son and some still believe in armagedon, "god" we've had a few of those. I actually worked in a company about 40 yrs ago that had quite a few Jehovah witnesses there. This is another true story by the way. In there history they had been convinced of a date that Armageddon would take place many generations prior. They all went along with there congregations to ben nevis as this was said to be the safest place. Others in the company ridiculed it when told to do the same, you can imagine how it was ridiculed when they all came back to work with reasons why it was preached it did not happen. Some religions still fast (well no meat lol) for 40 days and 40 nights due to the fact that jesus did the same. Well in fact he didn't fast, he just didn't come across any food according to the story lol
Amen to that tceng ..and Praise be to the Lord !
Adam / Petty - If the magic sky pixie actually exists, I hope it gets off its celestial toadstool long enough to put four lace holes up the backside of the arbitral panel in order that they get a shuffle on and hand down a decision, preferably a favourable one. I'm getting bored with this now and know of a better home for the proceeds than the Usbek treasury. It's long past time! TC
At some point I remember getting into confrontation with you, or was that one of another amount of people that would not listen to any opinion or possibility than their own naïve one, or even copy and pasted facts insulted etc come to that That aside, some of your posts are totally on my wave length and that wont get me much praise, or halleluiahs lol. On the subject of the man on the donkey and his sadistical father, allowing his son to be sacrificed in his own name after performing so many miracles on such behalf. A father who moulded the earth etc with bare hands lol. Yep they permitted technology, wars, depravation and genaside, simply because eve ate an apple that we now know is healthy for you. The funny thing is that in aims we are still so easily brainwashed, never mind the world spectrum of people blowing their own body to pieces if it means they kill hundreds/thousands of innocent people. But I too got married in a church, paid a man in a dress to bless my wedding, christen my son etc etc. So am I a hypocrite thinking / knowing that what we cant see don't exist, or just hearded by tradition the same as those brainwashed by nonsense
likewise petty, if it was the post from mount cavalry it would stay there to rot, unlike some of our posts which seem to be removed in an instant
...JohnTroy...and I think we'll be a waiting a few years more for the return of Jesus...maybe the same number of years that I'll be wating for th return of my pet cat, dad, Richard III, JFK etc etc. I wouldn't hold my breath - but I'd certainly change persuasion IMMEDIATELY if the young fella came parading down the road on his donkey again, turning my tap water in wine, and rebuilding Sheffield's entire road system with a swipe of his Lordy hand.. ( Thankfully all the believers will be ensconced in strange stone buildings with steeples at the moment, listening to men dressed in silly ritualistic frock and gold,, so wont see this) Ps. Money's on LSE removing this tame post - heathens!
I'm still trying to work out whether you're serious or just taking the p*ss with that post in alight-hearted way. It reminds me of several posts on here and advfn over the years stating "I shall accept no less than $1Billion!" or.."I shall accept no less than $500Mill!"...etc etc.. So if the Arbiters give out a reduced award (as per precedent in the majority of cases), what are you going to do?? Run around Tashkent, Paris, Geneva , Canada with Placard proclaiming "JUSTICE DENIED !I DEMAND MORE!" An interesting statistic in International Arbitration, which I will try to find the link for (We had it on here ages back) is that no company that fought for an award of over $100Million with Uncitral, ever got the full award ! Yukos proved the exception - but remember, banging on about exceptions is like saying you'll win the Lottery because you know someone who won it. If we won, a reduced amount is expected, from about $100Mill to $250Mill (inc interest) IMO. I initially thought a little lower, but 25% of claim seems to be the 'norm' , although I do accept that ours could buck the rend - either way. ...and, remember, there is also a good % chance that we could lose. IMO Mr Shead's ongoing "extreme confidence" or "confidence" is all part and parcel of CEO talk - I think he genuinely believes that, but so, probably , does every CEO who enters International Arbitration, even those that ultimately lose. No-one goes into this 5 year treadmill expecting to lose - but many do.
we have been waiting 2,000 years for the return of jesus yet every week on church posters we are reminded his return is imminent and told to have faith, " jesus , i hope RS is not jesus" "very near future", anyway killing time i came across some info relating to the case from 2014 just to entertain us until the three wise men (calinius, RS & the othe guy) deliver our christmas caskets , i trust we are not going to be "incensed" with the outcome, surely fran makes sense that it's going to be a "gold"en payout....here goes... (C) In 2006, Zeromax became a strategic partner of Oxus Gold PLC, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange's Alternate TASHKENT 00000027 003 OF 004 Investment Market, by acquiring 16% of the company's share capital. Oxus is a 50 percent joint venture partner with the GOU in Amantaytau Gold Fields (AGF), a gold mining operation that is developing concessions in Uzbekistan's Tien Shan Gold Belt, which boasts the world's second largest gold reserves after South Africa's Witwatersrand Basin. Some observers assert Oxus Gold aligned itself with Zeromax after becoming weary of dealing with local corruption and cronyism and to settle a dubious tax charge of USD 225 million, which was dropped by the GOU following the deal. The marriage has reportedly been difficult from the beginning with confidential Embassy sources stating that Oxus Gold executives privately have expressed both professional and personal differences with Zeromax management. Zeromax purchased its holdings at GBP 0.215 per share (about USD 0.35 at current exchange rates); with Oxus Gold currently trading at about GBP 0.09 per share and recording a 52-week high of GBP 0.15 per share, the Oxus Gold investment represents a significant paper investment loss for Zeromax. https://wikileaks.org/plusd/cables/10TASHKENT27_a.html
We will beat the 52 week high in the sp at 4.80 p and that is with or without an rns. It will almost certainly come in November. latest early following week.
Plus why, after all, it is an obligation to pay up, so why would we show weakness and be ready to negotiate? Do you think they will just reach for the cheque book? RS as iirc already stated that selling the debt on would be a possability which would be at a discount. I would imagine if we have been/ were awarded $1.2b and the Uzzzies said that they would pay up immediately if we would accept $800m that our lawyers/ RS would be happy to negotiate for something inbetween. A bird in the hand and all that.
I think they could have amassed some tens of millions under the radar but not much more. Still a useful sum if we win big and relatively few of their people are holding them.
Unless the Uzbeks are behind Gibbo or Trident, I can't see how they could have amassed anything more than a small portion of the total shares with the only apparent regular sellers being RAB and Darwin whom appear to have been offloading at quite a modest pace.
I got slated for saying they were probably doing that through a measure of undetected agreed means many many months ago. and that nobody would know if they were, except those in discussion for max outcome
Maybe Evil's had a top up - either way they are probably going to make some money in the next few weeks.
That RAB or someone is selling @4p+ isn't surprising but the fact that someone wants to buy 700,000 at such a price at this point in time is good news I feel. GLA
They already have I reckon...Trident ;o)
The hold up is due to the BOE, having to print shed loads of cash for when we cash in our shares.
looks good and maybe we will see 5p as this undoubtedly gets closer and closer to the release of quantum. Anything circa 20p would be great as that was the base figure I was investing in the hope to attain. Anything above this is fabulous. I would like to say that all surplus money raised on any amount over the £1 sp on my market master account is going to charity. So hope £1.20 is achieved or more.
You may well like to think that, but the result is announced simultaneously to both sides, and as I understand, there is no room for negotiation before the announcement is made. For obvious reasons, the panel cannot get involved in the horse trading of negotiations. Plus why, after all, it is an obligation to pay up, so why would we show weakness and be ready to negotiate?
700,000 @ 4.05p has got to be a buy surely.
We have won and the lawyers have been told. I would like to think it is an obscene amount and the lawyers have been told. I would like to think the delay is Lamm trying tonegotiate a discount for prompt payment for cash.
