The company have stated they expect to lose 4000 through attrition and that there will be 6000 physical redundancies. Postie's need to wake up and smell the coffee, they are no longer playing with a government, they are now playing with shareholders who don't care about jobs or service, the minute it becomes more profitable to asset strip and shut down, that is what will happen. Talking about fines under USO, they will only bring about a complete closure quicker.
Beatrootjuice I am just grateful I got out 6.5 years ago, do feel sorry for my old muckers.
I suppose it will depend on whether they honour the massively inflated redundancy packages previously agreed with the union, if they do postie's will be queuing round the block to sign up.
Hi it's big George here, can I sell you billions of shares to pay the way again please?
Usual vast, give a good rns on a Friday night after the bell so the mm's can make all the money
Complete denial by BT, wonder who leaked this rumour after buying in sub 1.00 yesterday, and you thought aim was a lawless casino.
If a sale was in the offing surely the massive director buys would be classed as insider dealing?
All it as to do is 12 bag and i might even be in profit rofl
Iirc the last strike there was no ot paid to clear the back log. One of the many reasons posties crossed the lines was they couldn't face clearing the excess mail for no extra payment having also lost a days wage. After a 2 day strike they will need a 1% extra rise just yo get their pay back over the year.
Regardless of the value of the profit when margins are so tight it takes very little to reverse and into loss. I remember a few years back when there was talk one week they hadnt enough coh to pay our weekly wage.
Cobblers madas, as a % margin on turnover no other firm would be in business.
700 million profit, woopy doo, that is only £7000 per employee at 100000 employees. Not exactly massive is it? Consider that CWU wants an efrective 10% pay rise through a cut in hours that is one hell of a chunk out of profit when a ft posty is on in excess of 22k pa its removing a third of profits !
BST so they have dropped wanting a pay rise and a dropping of weekly hours then?
''m more concerned about possible payments to the majority panel members, from one of the most corrupt regimes in the world.' Or indeed the odd horses head appearing on a pillow during the night.
The shares haven't been cancelled, only the aim listing, it is possible to own shares in an unlisted company. Whether they will ever be worth anything is another question, but if oxs do appeal and win then your shares would have value and still be owned by you regardless of the fact they have been cancelled from AIM.
The stock should not disapear even years after the company is dead and buried, only the value.
Zero value because they cant be traded
