Getting that Friday feeling for an RNS. Along with mon, tues, wed and so on. There is now a person more patient than a saint and that is an oxus investor. The new saying will be "you need the patience of an Oxus investor" Each day brings us closer so win win really if not frustrating as it seems a long time for the investors and directors of oxus to wait for compensation when the companies assets seemed to be so clearly "stolen" under false accusations IMHO. I feel something in abundance is coming in the way of Quantum for Oxus gold. I hope to get a life after the result. GLA as cannot believe it will not be this side of Christmas and feel the arbitration panel should be questioned by oxus lawyers as to the reasons for the delay if it takes any longer.
I think Petty would say Pollock but yes your quite right
Something is stirring in the water. A nameless face appears in front of a backdrop of violent skies. The Oxus battle drums begin to beat to the sound of fearless investors who have come to defend the lands that are rightly theirs. Taken by the dark Lord Karimov, against the will of good King Richard. The King stands in front of his men, armed with quill, ink and nothing more. He stands with his weapons so all can see that free men stand in the face of tyranny! ******* come on!!!
Didn't know that. Thanks. :-)
cheers..unfortunately, I did it on the spur of the moment with no set-out questions and wrote it off the top of my head immediately afterwards, so missed a few things off and there were questions in the cold light of day I would have liked to have asked, but anyway, I just wanted to hear for myself this "very near future" bit..
With one quite recent previous UNCITRAL case (Rurelec), they were told it was going to be about 6 weeks before a decision was released..the company announced this in an RNS..so timescales can be known. And, I think Oxus will have been told that it's in the final stages/being written up/ next to be released etc etc
Well since , to my horror, Mr Wilkins and Capt Shead now (wrongly) believe that I refer to them as the Goldfish and Washerwoman respectively - or is that Washerwoman and Goldfish... I hope that any special dividend out of this will not be now weighted against us due to the gilled-gaffe and clothes cleaning cringe. I actually sent an e-mail to the company late last night, as the moment I realised what they thought I nearly died of embarrassment! I think, Schofield, this has blown my chances of being the official Oxus PR man, although I am willing to take it like a man (or fish) and be known as "Herringhead"..."Codbreath" .."Rakeface"...etc etc around the office and live in a small bowl in the corner of the room. Regarding Goldfish (generally) there is some nobility in having a Latin name of Carassius Auratus although I can't find any similar well meaning term for WasherWoman - But i do have the utmost respect for those who clean clothes (Thanks mum)
Thanks for calling OXUS and transcribing your conversation, informative and amusing.
If the details of the arbitration are secret between the arbitration panel and all the information was presented last year for them to sift through and make a decision on, then how can our board possibly have any idea of when a decision will arrive? The "very near future" comment must have either been pure speculation OR our board have been informed by someone that a decision will be arrived at by x date? But, if there is a definite date for a decision, then surely the decision must already be known? In which case wouldn't the arbitration panel just spill the beans? If arbitration proceedings were a set duration then it would be easy to take the hearing date and extrapolate a decision date. But, as they aren't, then how can we be saying "very near future" unless some information has either presented itself to the board, or it was a (at best) off-the-cuff addition to the RNS based on a combination of wishful thinking and educated guess? Surely there wouldn't be a decision made and then further wranglings behind closed doors as that would add an element of cloak and dagger to the proceedings? I would be extremely interested to hear the rational behind using "very near future" in the RNS. I do hope it wasn't just a way of injecting life into the share in order for large stakeholders to make a quick buck from us 'easily-led' PIs ? (although, based purely on forum members genuine opinions of our board, I think that is unlikely).
Sorry missed your post.
no its not..... that's why, we have 3 arbitrators. There are hundreds of different outcomes though.... Maybe Kandy has been grabbed illegally, maybe not, maybe amity has been , maybe not. Maybe the taxes are valid maybe not, maybe the uzbeks have got away with the currency scam, maybe not. BTW well done Petty for contacting them. I really wish more people would talk to BOD's, Nomad's, even brokers..the simply fact is most are afraid to do it. (BTW I equally found OXUS's nomads answered sensible questions)...
Onion there are 3 arbiters so that there can never be a deadlock you really are the bluntest tool in the box
or should I say "very" imminent....don't know anymore. Probably just some joker on a power trip...lol
Hold onto your hats....if you believe in all that guff, it means RNS imminent......
....a code 1.....lol
so ignorant to think that there are only 2 possible outcomes to this scenario. There is a 3rd way you know. It is possible the arbitration are unable to come to a successful conclusion
There has been talk that this is a vehicle used by the Uzbeks to hedge against a loss
I think they would rather go through their official spokesman all questions to Pettycash please
First question: do the BOD know who owns trident?
As the the Oxus board are watching this board, why don't they register to comment: say as "washerwoman" they could then answer any queries directly and free. Of course they could only answer questions not covered by confidentiality, but at least we'd know the true situation rather than speculation.
Yes its the Petty factor Modesty forbids me to take any credit for motivating him in to ringing Our fantastic board yesterday
Rather good this morning compared to last week or two. Possibly anticipation building for an end of November result....who knows...gla
Investor a win at 0p remains a possibility as the win could be so small it is wiped out by the legal and other costs. There has been so much posted on this here over the last few years and months it would be a good start to to do some DYOR Then you will understand why there is such a broad opinion on scale of possible payout, including NIL
mmmm, can you explain why 0p if we win? seriously though, I would be grateful for some comments on where we could be if we were awarded 25% or 50% of the claim. thanks in anticipation,
Oh Lord ! It's just suddenly hit me why Mssrs Wilkins and Shead were annoyed with me when I called today..oh dear, cringing. I've just realised that they thought my post about phoning to talk to the Goldfish/Washerwoman and Secretary was referring to them (washerwoman and goldfish...argghh...no no no!) If you're looking in lads, that was just a flippant and irreverent reference to anon who might be passing by and randomly pick up the phone in the office ( I hopefully explained the goldfish/ Koy Carp reference earlier).. Oops, and apologies. Genuinely hadn't even crossed my mind until now what you might have been thinking. BUT everyone , it does show how regularly they've been looking in - because from my telling Schofield I was going to call there was literally 5 minutes max..and Captain Shead and Wilko had both seen the message board referring to the planned call - and the asked me if I was Pettycash basically within the first few sentences. Oooops again. Cringe.
