Thanks bhargav - nearly pay day and at this rate I'll be compelled to buy more.
One of the finest thread of potential generated here...thanks KA.
A must read info.
Further partnership with Newmont - Agnico maybe now OMI are at the top table with them.
Newmont sold their Buritica stake in favour of Anza so how interesting is this seeing as Buritica keeps growing and growing...
Maybe Anza is the bigger brother being more suitably located in the centre of the prolific middle Cauca belt.
ColombusGold- I don't think Omi will go down cheaply if good grades flow. CG is 11moz and counting...I anticipate lots of drilling, and once we're in good leverage position, they may look to add new project. And may be some smart surprise.
Time will tell.
I think someone mentioned this a few days or weeks ago, what are the odds of NM buying out both OMI and AGN? If the results come back spectacular I’m sure this could be considered?
I’m wondering if OMI want their cap up so they’re not taken out cheaply. Any thoughts on this Bhar
Theres some serious games being played with the price today
Spurs never mind I’m sure watching OMI over the next few months will soon cheer you up for sure.
COYI
Miles an hour not mikes
Spurs let’s hope it doesn’t do a spurs and come out of the blocks a thousand mikes an hour only to be pegged back right at the close of play.
Strange I've no problem in buying
All the reasons to decide to buy this stock are in black and white on this thread. Good luck with finding a better opportunity.
Quote from me you mean ;-p
@Professor
I can understand keeping the powder dry, but for me this period since March has given me the most opportunities to make higher returns. I was worried back in March - but every single company in my portfolio, except a certain bank that will remain unnamed recovered quite quickly. I just took advantage and topped up on the three companies I already had and knew wouldn't be affected operationally.
To add to what the Professor said - the Anzá Project is 231 square km's - roughly the size of Birmingham. So if it's anything like Buritica in the same region, there's going to be intercepts all over the place.
With the camp sorted this month, multiple drilling rigs by early November and the first snap drilling assay results in the new year, I have a feeling there's a lot to hold on for. Should be managed well having Agnico just down the road.
seems = seams :)
Quote from Prof
Good gold intercepts with results of up to 11 meters of 10.57-g/t gold and 2 meters of 40.25 g/t gold with nice zinc numbers. They completed an additional 14,000 meters of drilling. The most interesting thing is that the drill results are all over the map. They have 18 meters of 14 g/t gold, 22 meters of 10.4 g/t gold, 40 meters of 14 g/t gold and 14 meters of 40 gram gold.
They identified a 2.5 km long strike length that appears to be mineralized that is some 200 meters wide and it’s still open to depth and to the north and the south. If you have 2500 meters strike that is 200 meters wide and 100 meters in depth and have an average of 1 g/t gold, you have 2500 times 200 times 100 times 2.5 divided by 31.1. That’s four million ounces. Maybe it’s only .5 g/t gold. That’s still 2 million ounces.
If we extrapolate out to 8-9 km strike, you arrive at my 13.5m oz.
However I do believe our gold seems may average much more than 1oz per ton, in which case we could be talking 20m oz +
That is why we have the massive interest.
Thank you Bhargav, King, Proff. Good research and non of that £1 next week shiz. Drilling commencing mid November, I think Covid may have favoured SHs as if it hadn’t slowed things down the SP may have wondered far beyond by now. There’s also still that doubt inside many people to keep the powder dry at the current times. What a great week. Good luck to all.
Hi King
The beauty with Omi is that if you connect the intervening land between the strike zones and the likehood of these also being gold bearing zones then the strike length in my view will extend to some 8 to 9 kms from the 2.5kms.
Yes....that's is pertinent. In the past, it has helped me immensely to stay on the track (minus many sleepless nights :)).
But, I never shied away from sharing it here, because, the more we're here in integrity..the collectively,
we can all benefit much more for genuine LTHs, atleast.
Majority of the shares as I type are still owned by the individual PIs at this stage. Board owns little, all of it is freebies/ incentive. Major holdings of NEM, Loryser, our Swiss investor- Continental IP comes to under 35%, and rest is ours.
There is very little room left for dilution.
Now that we're in 50 mil Mcap CLUB, things will slowly change, get big and balance of the power in terms of our holdings strength of quality/ relative value of shares at hands will drift from 65% to BIG boys....Institutes...and so is the MASSIVE rewards which I can almost vouch for by/ before Sept 2022.
Our strength is getting in at low, more and get sticky with it to put the pressure on MMs to anticipate fair price....unlike today's last hour drop!
BIG boys aren't stupid to pay this entry price unless they'll get greater leverage out of it. Their dilemma is 'liquidity'
need to be to buy in big chunks to get in or out which wasn't there before, but now from mere 100s shares a day we're clocking 10-12mil. And it is growing exponentially.
Whether a holder is selling next week or one after...it will increasingly get challenging for them to hold recoup certs again at relative bargain price, especially after the commencement of drilling and even more so good results.
Today I've topped it up 4 times, got so little against it compare to what I could do not so long ago...my last top up was at
16:24, 27008 shares and at the same time some other people had difficulty getting through. Don't know how it works.
As I said, 4th quarter will be a game changer and the it has...and it could get more interesting in weeks to come.
Yes, please do share, I'm surprised to find number of people out there are benefiting from it.
Appreciate the insight of KA and many other posters out here. We learn something new each day :)
KingArthur78 Thanks for the info. Very interesting.
bhargav I will take your advice and write to both of them and will of course report back the findings here.
As an example Newmont and Continental were pretty aggressive with their drilling program at Buritica. In the early stages - inside of 6 - 12 months they provided the drilling results and feasibility study to provide enough confidence that they were going to continue into production. During the following 12 months they began construction and continued to drill throughout the entire area under their care.
So despite getting good enough drilling results to make production feasible - further drilling continues identifying further targets to exploit in future. And then 12mths after that they discovered 49% more gold than originally estimated.
It seems the price of gold rising back then up to the present time, suggests they fast tracked the project where possible and were ahead of schedule at various points along the way. I suspect with the two major players behind OMI that the same is likely to happen here - after all its the same area and similar geography.
I suspect they are going to move very very quickly imo. Oh and remember what happened to Continental just 1 year before the proposed production kick off - the Chinese bought them out at $5.50 a share valuing the business at a touch over $1 Billion pre production.
Share - when you find out let us all know : )
ST123-
For your second half, I would suggest you to write Brad on info@orosur.ca because whatever answer you may get here on that would be invalid in my view. You can even write to Agnico for which I don't have any contact details yet.
And please don't hesitate, as an investor, you've right to inquire.
GL.
Thanks for all the replies. The second part of my question was how long it would take to establish with some certainty how much gold we are sitting on.
