I believe we only have 4 outstanding drill holes from the previous campaign. We currently only have one rig at Apta so I wouldn’t expect many more with the outstanding ones, if any. The majors will soon ramp up activity, that’s when we will get news much more frequently. Nice video posted on Twitter showing the working conditions and terrain.
Impossible to guess what market cap we could end up at. If everything area turns out to be an ‘Apta’ That being La Cejita, Jesuitas, guiarmarala, Pepas, Pupino, Charrascala then who knows we’re well end up. Some targets were deemed to have much more potential in Newmonts eyes, La Cejita, Jesuitas, guiarmarala, Apta first was chosen solely due to accessibility. There has also been a lot of sampling done further south than Guiarmarala and also much further north than La Cejita, which were all sent to Newmonts Denver Lab…. Now they’ve taken over operations. Read between the lines. Exciting times if your not obsessed with the share price!!
I agree with Mamba and Andy, if you were planning on selling and buying back your a few days late. You’d imagine they’ll be a lot happening behind the scenes, unbeknown to us now that Newmont / Agnico have made the decision to take over operations. I personally think they’ll spend many many multiples of the minimum amount ($4m) over the next 12 months.
The mining sector can be a very long winded affair, too many people expect things to happen overnight… If you want volatility you’re be better off in the crypto world. Have patience or attempt your hand elsewhere it’s as simple as that.
Just been having a read and browse about Buritica, our closest neighbour. Interesting to find that in December 2019 they were found to have the 6th lowest AISC in the world of gold mines. I think if Newmont / Agnico have the possibility of selling the project a few years down the line, then Zijin will be the perfect candidate. All speculative of course.
Fair few sells today, I’m quite surprised after the good news of Loryser finally being out and the majors not only continuing the JV but taking over operations much earlier than everyone, including the BOD, expected. If your in for the long game I don’t think OMI have ever been in a better position! Exciting times ahead. We’re also financially healthy with enough money in the bank to last us a couple of years, though Other JVs could change that which isn’t a negative! Hopefully an update this week. I’ll be ignoring the daily fluctuations only really relevant if looking to trade or add.
Every single RNS we receive are signed off by Louis Castro and Brad George. This one is not. Plus has zero mention of Orosur Mining. An error, disgraceful really if it had been a massive dumping could have caused nightmares.

Any buy out would be based on 25% of the project in my opinion. I can’t see any off coming for at least good year or two, even if they absolutely smash it to bits with multiple rigs on each target. Which is going to happen next year people.
Nice debate anyhow, let’s see where we are in 12 months time. The main draw here is obviously the JV, the fact they’ve took over operations now we’ve started using Newmonts Lab speaks volumes for me. Good luck all. More obscene grades over at GGP, what a Havieron that is. Two nice buys here yesterday late on, nice to see amongst the selling!
