Let’s hope something comes like it did forRPS shares
Quiet here currently but would expect a Trading Update and/or M&A news, wouldn’t be too far away now. Inside the next 8 weeks is a reasonable expectation I believe and so if I’m correct, not long to wait.
In connection with todays RNS……..

Can’t believe this share hasn’t risen today, yes, very positive news indeed!
New flagship product launch, unprecedented level of orders on the books, huge cash pile for M&A.
What’s not to like?

It's interesting how valuable Yotta is deemed to be by brokers relative to Vicon; contributing only c10% of FY21 adjusted profits and yet deemed to be worth c25% of OMG's market value (based on share price target of 157p).
Given that Vicon delivered c25% adjusted PBT in FY21 (FY20: c21%; FY19: c29%; FY18: c30%), I think Nick Bolton needs to better explain why they are aiming to increase sales 2.5x over the next 4-5 years but, effectively, REDUCE adjusted PBT to c15%. I imagine that they foresee a much higher R&D spend over the next 4-5 years to help grow the top line, together with some targeted M&A, but to target only doubling Vicon's existing adjusted PBT by the end of the plan seems underwhelming, unless I'm missing something (if Vicon was able to maintain the existing c25% margin it would mean an additional c£10m of adjusted PBT at the end of the plan).
Looks like the Questor write up from Friday has had an effect!

A decent amount of buying ahead of the results. Over £85m in cash and Vicon as stated -with unprecedented levels on their order books.
Just over 3 weeks for the financials to end of March and likely trading update since. We know Vicon has a full order book as “unprecedented levels” has been formally stated via recent RNS.
A milestone to look forward to and not long to wait.
Well, someone made a fantastic profit in just one day, looking at that trade from this morning, few minutes past 8am which was reported after hours.
Wonder if our dividend will increase?
...and the share price didn't move until the announcement was made. So it looks like the OMG staff and advisers can keep a secret and have some integrity.
One would assume that, once the disposal is complete, OMG would have between c£85m of cash (assuming that Vicon has been able to continue to generate cash at the same rate as FY21). That's a lot of cash and unless they have a specific target acquistition in mind now, one would assume that they must be considering returning some of that cash to shareholders.
Well, the markets liked that news!! I wonder whether we'll see a change of name in the near future to reflect the focus on Vicon as the core business. Here's hoping for summer with plenty of newsflow!
Cash pile is actually more than 3/4 of the mcap. I was thinking it would be June before this took off but the good news started early
A decent well run company. A rarity on aim these days. Making many multiples on their investments and sitting on a cash pile larger than half their mcap
Well I did say back on 17/05 that there might be mews ahead of 23/06!
Let’s see how the market responds.
I assume market sentiment on technology stocks, looking a bargain at this price
Not impossible there will be some positive news ahead of 23/06 - contract win etc.
that was timely, having looked on their website yesterday…
Results due 23 June.
Just popped over to their website, no update there either….
Why no Notice of Results??
Hi, I’m a long term holder. Anybody know why this is continuing to drop? Will continue to hold as appreciated the dividend.
AGM tomorrow then. I expect an accompanying statement on trading.
Wasn't there supposed to be an earnings RNS today? Can't see any news, although the share priced moved for the first time in a while. Any OMG insiders on here to advise?
