I've held this share now for 16 months, initially buying in at 45.76p. Currently on 60% increase in value. As with all my shares I like to re-value the shares I own. So here is my view on OMG now. OMG has a reasonable low amount of shares of which a large percentage is held by the BOD and also II's. - Generally a good thing. About Oxford Metrics Oxford Metrics develops and markets analytics software for motion measurement and infrastructure asset management to clients in over 70 countries worldwide. Our list of clients across the globe is as diverse as the markets we operate in; we help highways authorities manage and maintain their road networks, hospitals and clinicians decide therapeutic strategies and Hollywood studios create stunning visual effects. And the diversity of applications is growing all the time. The group trades through two subsidiaries: Vicon and Yotta. Vicon is the world's leader in high precision motion measurement analysis to thousands of customers worldwide, including Guy's Hospital, EA Sports, MIT and NASA and our software is used in an ever expanding range of applications. Yotta provides cloud-based infrastructure asset management software to central and local government agencies and other infrastructure owners. Yotta has a large number of high profile clients including Highways England and Amey in the UK and VicRoads in Australia amongst others. I like the fact OMG is diversed across 70 countries and has some big name companies it deals with such as Guys hospital and EA Sports and even NASA! A PE value of approx 23 which is pretty good, slightly higher than last year but that was to be expected due to year 1 being about investment. Broker rating (for what's is worth) being reiterated at 2.18. Rumour of Naked trader also buying in a year ago! OMG has a 5 year plan to triple revenues and double profits. Currently year 1 over now which was all about re-investing. The latest results showed the company exceeding expectations. Year 2- This is all about increasing customers and revenues - if this happens this year is going to be very exciting for the sp. For those who have for some reason not read the last results RNS I suggest you do it now. http://www.lse.co.uk/share-regulatory-news.asp?shareprice=OMG&ArticleCode=30eg29kl&ArticleHeadline=Preliminary_Results New launch of product - Alloy - getting off to a cracking start with 6 contracts won in the first month. Chart - http://www.chartupload.com/viewer.php?file=53789679089551299877.png The chart is very exciting to me. It clearly shows OMG in an upward progression With no major dips down. The only resistance there is, is the top of the trend channel which it has just gone over. The Stoch is saying over bought and the RSI is also rather high. If you look at other times when the stoch and RSI are at these levels a period of sideways movement generally occurs with perhaps 2-7p drop in the share price.
Stop looking at the trades as it’s imaterial. All you need to see is I the so goes up or down. Goes up- more buys than sells. Did you know many trades are late reported? The trades reported are sorted as buy or sell by computer, which compares the price at the time to the trade price. These are therefore always going to wrongly put down as buy or sell. It’s been doing this since the beginning of time, or very close to then. As I said, ignore it.
Its extremely quiet here. Plenty of trades going through though and it would appear being shown incorrectly. In my opinion, the 67.95 trades are buys not sells, but I suppose its because they went through just below the mid price.
A steady climb so far this year, up from around 58 in Jan, so that's about 10%
I think it's the code for a thumbs up emoji which doesn't appear to be supported here
Dont know what that gobble gook was at end of my sentence?
Thank you, much appreciated. 👍
Evening, It should be paid tomorrow (8 March) - see:- https://www.dividenddata.co.uk/ex-dividend-date-search.py?searchTerm=omg http://www.lse.co.uk/share-regulatory-news.asp?shareprice=OMG&ArticleCode=30eg29kl&ArticleHeadline=Preliminary_Results
Hi, I know folks only visit here once in a blue moon, but has anybody any information they wish to share with regards dividends? I think I read it was due March... Thank you
A proportion of R&D is claimed to be capitalised as was the case in the last F/Y report. Perhaps someone could explain why there is no recording of this expenditure in the cash flow statements under Investing Activities.
It has so many positives. Even the charts show the company in a steady incline. The type of share everyone should have in their pf.
so, to re-iterate what i said back in June, "So what's not to like about this share? BOD bought in recently at 42.25p (NEW BOD BUYS AT 58.75P, THOUGH THERE WAS A SELL ALSO) Broker target of 218p, though this is an old target of 2015. (BROKER HAS RE-ITERATED THIS TARGET PRICE AGAIN) Profit making with a PE under 12. (YES, STILL PROFIT MAKING) Progressive Dividend policy paying back 16.8 million to share holders in the last 2 years. (PROGRESSIVE DIVIDEND STILL) Holding cash of 8.4 million. (CASH HAS INCREASED TO 9.8 MILLION) "Going forward we anticipate making investments to grow both Vicon and Yotta. On the basis of the currently identified organic investment opportunities we do not anticipate any need to raise new funds from equity or debt." (YOTTA RECEIVED 1ST CASH PAYMENT) (Vicon Vero, our compact measurement system sold particularly well during the financial year and remains the Group's fastest-ever selling system.) 5 year plan to move company forward. "In this way, our five-year plan will see the Group accelerate the returns from the markets it serves. By acting now with these targeted investments, we aim to establish or maintain dominant market positions and achieve higher levels of profits in the mid-term than we would have seen without these actions." "Our path ahead is clear we must drive growth by amplifying our core strengths and capabilities across our core products, our core markets, our core customers and our people. In this way, we aim to achieve two challenging but realistic objectives: by 2021, we aim to double Group profit and to triple those revenues which are recurring, predictable and ideally contracted. But we do not plan to take risks in new areas. We want to amplify our core strengths and make our two existing businesses stronger and better." (NEW - The Group enjoyed a successful close to the financial year and expects to report both revenues and adjusted PBT slightly ahead of market expectations. The Board is pleased to report the Group has made good progress during this first year of the Group's five-year growth plan and is on track to achieve the goals we stated in December 2016 to double profits and triple recurring revenue by 2021.) Adding to this there has been several holdings RNS since June, there is not a lot of shares available. RECAP: bod buys Low shares in issue Holding RNS's Profit making Cash in bank Dividend - progressive 5 year plan to double profits and triple recurring revenue by 2021. The Group enjoyed a successful close to the financial year and expects to report both revenues and adjusted PBT slightly ahead of market expectations. https://www.oxfordmetrics.com/investors#scroll-annualreports"
As I’ve said a while ago, what’s not to like with this share? Trading update showing slightly ahead of market expectations and on course to triple revenues. This has broken out of its trading range. The shares are quietly being brought up. Re-rate is happening. Gla
Are the sells over the last week fulfilling an order? I don't understand why this sp has stalled, any thoughts?
Yet s/p not moving.....?
Well that probably explains the share price in limbo of late under very tight bid / ask prices. Hopefully the s/p will be more realitic now as I've just seen above the bid/ask price has a better spread. Just my thoughts... DYOR & GLA
heyhoe...another flat line day. At least this share pays a dividend, that's a bonus!
I think we've flat lined? Any idea folks? Can't understand it considering great last RNS and recently tipped....
I'm happy with that, broader spectrum of customers / prices....
I see the Naked Trader picked up 5000 of these....could be a positive sign that others jump aboard?
Top investor reveals two UK small-caps that are ‘exciting opportunities’ right now www.whatinvestment.co.uk/top-investor-reveals-two-uk-small-caps-exciting-opportunities-right-now-2553759/
i will add some more here....
Small trades compared to the two £3m trades just before that.
tr1 possibly ???
Look at the buy v sells column. I'm wondering if an RNS is due soon on the back of that, hoping it's more institutions buying in. Just bought in myself today under 60 and delighted this share seems to be gently easing up daily. Plus it's my first AIM share that pays dividends ! GLA & DYR
