Chief scientific advisor : need more testing.
In an ideal world I would love it if he announced you had to have an antigen test from Avacta to see if you have it, an antibody test from ODX to see if you have had it. If you have it you need to be treated by SNG and the whole thing must be recorded and kept up to date on an app by CTEA Now that would be worth tuning in for. I can dream

Im not invested here anymore but is this a worry?
Did you make that hyperlink all on your own? What safety implications could an at home test have? People getting over zealous with the finger prick?
No that is Antigen Radox not related
Quite the opposite I would think....
NHS tests, all the more reason to look at us..
The Department of Health said that the NHS Test and Trace service had been notified that some test kits produced by Randox Laboratories may not meet required safety standards.
“As a precautionary measure and while we investigate further, NHS Test and Trace are requesting that all settings pause the use of Randox test kits with immediate effect and until further notice,” a government statement said.
No. Not us.
OK, I couldn't read the whole article so wasn't sure but thought it might have a negative impact on ODX. Hopefully it'll work out in your favour.
@stocktaker, no I didn't make the link on my own you mong! Thought it might be beneficial to holders here.
may be to do with this

SAGE: 95% of people get antibody respons in an out brake setting. The papers out there that sudgested less are due to the sensitivity (ie lack of) of the assays!
That's it folks, they need our gold standard test :)
Also of interest, is that Immunity may decline after 3 months, so lots and lots of tests required.
We may have to up production capacity again!
The announcement? Vallance is on too. Seems a bit of a big billing to say they've put out a test that ain't safe. Better to withdraw it and get a some coverage to ensure distribution is entirely taken down if that's all they have to say.
Antibody life - 2 months, T cell life - 17 years. Killer test would be T cell.
t-cells are a first line defence. for people who are likely to be first in line for a vaccine or are already badly affected- antibodies are what is required. Hence I would say presence of T-cells- you've had it and hardly knew. Presence of antibodies you've had it, probably knew about it, and yr safe (for now).
T cells stimulate antibody production. Some people will have inate immunity even if negative for antibodies. Vaccines are designed to trigger T cells, hence antibody production. Younger people produce vast amounts of T cells. Older people less so. Cf CART technology used in Cancer Immunotheraphy treatments.
