Share Tip Buddy - 'One To Watch' - Nightcap

The 'unknown' at 09.42, 20760 shares was my buy
He was bang on the money with Quindell.
I don't care for his style, but he does highlight food for thought at times.
The company will not be going bust. Far from it.
That's true.
It's just dangerous when ill informed people with a platform say that companies are going to go bust when that's not the case, it can damage the company and obviously impacts shareholders.
With his background it's clear to see he's not a nice person. Each to their own though.
Anyway... Good day for the stock!
Bobby
TW is a marmite character and I accept that. It is fine using a quote in a discussion but it would be nice to put it in context by including the second part of the quote. Essentially, there is no smoke without fire, is the message that I take from his comments. It is just one of many pieces of information that one comes across when researching a company. No company is perfect so i will look at good and bad reports.
“TW is not invariably wrong”
“ However, although his predictions of going bust, fraud etc don't often come to pass” I’d say that makes him invariably wrong.
The man is a fool.
“ Controversy Edit
Winnifrith was expelled from the Liberal Democrat Party by Paddy Ashdown in 1993 for allegedly "pandering to racism". He was subject to an investigation by Metropolitan Police Service at the request of the Attorney General at the time, Sir Nicholas Lyell, and then Shadow Cabinet Minister Jack Straw.[9]
In September 2017, Winnifrith authored an article which claimed that the FCA would not be shutting down Beaufort Securities.[10] In March 2018, Beaufort Securities was shut down, declared insolvent, and charged with fraud, following a joint FCA, FBI, SEC and DOJ investigation.[11][12][13][14][15]”

If I was looking for financial advice I would probably go to the likes of Bernie Madoff and Bernie Ebbers before Tom... and they’re dead fraudsters...
Obviously we all have a moral compass and I just can’t stomach a person like TW.
I believe NGHT have a great management team, a very good proposition and they have hit the market at a good point in the cycle for what they are planning to do.
PS. I mean the company and not the directors
Unfortunately, TW is not invariably wrong. He is a brand and his views are extreme and he often shorts a share. However, although his predictions of going bust, fraud etc don't often come to pass , the premise on which they are based are real. He does raise many red flags and has saved me many thousands in recent years.
I listen to his deramps and tend to ignore his ramps. like TW, the bulk of my investments are in major companies. Has TW had a pop at NGHT? I must have missed it.
Anyone getting into NGHT has chosen the right time. This is the bottom of the hospitality sector market with plenty of cheap businesses ripe for the picking. I think it is the perfect time to invest here.
TW invariably is wrong ... it is almost 'invest in a company' if he disses it .... quite entertaining ..... The UK equivalent is Justin Waite - another one all over the place.
But entertaining
Stranger things have happened at sea....and this moves very quickly with minimal vol.
TW the most hated British stock journalist is getting his call stuffed by a concerted group of retail investors if that's the case this price could go anywhere just look over the pond
That's really interesting - why the rise since, do you think?
Just enquired on Wallstreetbets if anyone buying this
Cornishpixie - the IPO was under-subscribed .. did not go all that well really.... but we shall see
knocking £50m MCAP .... mmhh... seems a bit overdone right now
Same here!
Since Tom put out a strong sell certain people all retail are buying into this could it be the British Gameshop scenario
I'd be surprised to hear the IPO didn't go well as shares have been rising pretty well ever since, on not really any news.
I got my full, albeit small, allocation on PB, but sold out sub 20p thinking I'd done well....
I looked at this at the IPO stage and was unsure but once lockdown finishes, this will fly as people want to get out and have good social experiences. That is all that anyone is talking about...
now 700k shares traded but originally up on 75,000 .... a tiny volume ...
I don't think the IPO with primary Bid went too well. With the sellers of the ****tail bars taking shares instead of cash the prospectus changed since I invested and PB got in touch to say I could back out of my investment. I emailed them to say i was happy enough and they said there was still shares left if I was interested in more so doubled my initial investment
Thanks for the update ... I clearly misread at the start - interesting RNS today and the 33% rise on virtually no volume.
But that is the stock market
The original owners of the ****tail bars Sarah and her husband took shares in nightcap instead of cash . The clubs are wholly owned by nightcap they are just shareholders like me She is CEO as well
well I missed this .. although if the original investors are 'rolling over into the buy' it is not wholey owned by Nighcap.
But I missed the start and rate-up ... can't win em all
