The positive for me is that news is due very soon and I think the sp is being moved up and down to encourage people to sell in readiness for the huge demand that will follow good sales news. How can it not be good?

Apparently cases keep falling in the US although Florida records its worst death toll !!
What will dictate whether this is a winner will be a detailed RNS with sales figures, disclosure of partners and forward contracts , nothing else. Why news has not been released yet is a mystery to many and an opportunity for some to instill fear in some holders. Fundamentals excellent , penny share no, intraday sp fluctuations catastrophic, no. A strong hold for me.
Glad im not the only one scratching my head. I keep telling myself there must be a reason why news is being held back and it can only be a good reason!
Trendz ,even if share price does dip some ,some who likely to sell ,more likely people who might sell into news ,
I have had a detailed look at the volumes over the last year. The current volumes are low. The next big piece of news, or significant sell of in large volume, will dictate whether this is a winner or loser. So long as this doesn't break the upwards trend (we are on the precipice atm) then my bet is that this will bag from here.

with the demand for testing ,would be hoping they have received plenty of orders they selling globally to around 130 countries
To me, it really feels like they are withholding updates in order to release them closer to their vesting date.
There has been a precedent set by releasing monthly updates, but nothing this month. The previous update was combined with the half yearly update (which is understandable) but only included sales, whereas the previous couple of updates included sales and orders.
How many times have we been teased with a US update?
Either they are holding back for their own gain / ulterior motive, or the orders just aren't there. I believe the former, but it's frustrating to be receiving less and less information with each update.
What was the news you was expecting to hear Van. Appreciate you might not want to say exactly but even a clue to the trail your on?
Yeah we can increase the sample size, you're right.
But then we lose the Covid context which I think is more important! Would be like comparing pre-covid chart trends to post-covid. This is what we've got to work with really.
Anyway, just playing but maybe we can get some sort of idea from it.
This is the heaviest period Novacyt has been through in terms of R&D developments, collaborations and shareholder interest. They'd got a lot to say. Let's have it GM!
VanV I think troublesome's comment is fair. I got up early and although obviously not stupid enough to assume you really had insider info, was rather disappointed when there was no news...
But don't get me wrong, I, like the rest on here, really appreciate your contributions. You're one of the best posters without doubt. Just perhaps, don't lead us gullibles on so next time!
@CCK - Would suggest the sample size is too small.
Wonder if 2020 is going to be the hottest year on record ?
Records are broken all the time !!
Current time from last RNS: 16 days
Average wait between RNS: 10.2 days
Longest wait between RNS: 19 days
Going to play the RNS game myself today and put a peg between today and Monday close. Beyond that would make it the longest Novacyt has gone with a news release out of the last 10 RNS, which is the least probable.
Anticipation is enjoyable and suggests a degree of probability.
Predicting the future regards specific times is another matter and can lead to a breakdown of trust, credibilty and unneccesary disappointment by building up high expectations.
VanV ,had alo thought monday might have seen news ,even July sales update ,which now looks unlikely to be released ,
with the news due in September ,happy to wait for another number of weeks ,or if a rns is seen before before then will be good to see ,less tweets ,and more rns ,from the compoany would be good to see in my view
Ok fair enough VanV. And re. the charts and Zak Mir analysis, that's something we can agree on
VanV, what led you to believe a RNS was due on Monday? If you have some news, could you force their hand by 'leaking' it?
Touche, VanV. Actually my comment is extremely applicable to you. RNS due on 10 August... etc...
I imagine that, as people realise the 'RNS coming today/tomorrow/after close' chat is nonsense, the day traders and pump and dumpers will exit the building, leading to a bit more price stability. At the end of the day, this is a penny stock and you need to be able to handle the volatility. I am holding until late September interims and trading update, unless we see a breakdown below 20 and 50 day EMAs.
Good bounce off the 20 day EMA. Reaffirms my short-medium term share price re-rate here. Cumon Novacyt!
This has been a fairly bad sell off over the last 5 days. However, we seem to be bouncing off our 20 day EMA and still trading above the 50 and 200 day EMA. A further share price puking from here would be a worry to me from a technical veiw point. Quite and important day today.
