Wilson....please start a regime of sit ups ...if you want to join a team meet.
We want to look lean and mean...
like we have been suffering and can't afford to eat...due to losses in share .
Remember the camera puts 10 pounds on !
That might be why some will be shy! Lol
Unless you can make any sense of this business textbook vomit from the Jan 2023 RNS.
"During 2022, the Company made good progress transitioning away from COVID-19 revenue and beginning to deliver against its growth strategy, as outlined at the full year 2021 results. This included diversification of its diagnostic portfolio through internal R&D, such as the enhancement of its integrated and scalable molecular workflow capability and a focus on high growth target infectious disease areas, as well as through strategic partnerships, such as the distribution agreement signed with Clonit srl, which provided Novacyt with immediate access to over 40 CE marked assays. At the same time, the Company relaunched its extensive research-use-only portfolio and has continued to be a global first responder in infectious diseases."
Doubtful, 2022 non covid revenue was less than half that in 2019. Although according of one of last year's RNS', we were going to see new products come onstream in Q4 2022. Almost 6 months ago that quarter started.
Any products in the pipelines other than Covid19 related for NCYT?

I know there wasn't Valju , it didn't even cross my mind . I just wanted to clarify that I was not praising JW .
nice, to see many opinions and thoughts now re-appearing, from such a negative board recently :)
K, no slight of hand, inferred meant or intended...
Does anyone have any information regarding progress in connection with the DHSC dispute? Any court dates? Are negotiations currently taking place with DHSC? Any new products non-covid 19 related in the pipelines? Grateful for any information. Thank you.

I would be interested in joining/meeting up. I'm South East. I think the BOD are incompetent and I'm not happy with JW whatever his background. I stil haven't had a reply to the question I asked as to how he thought he was doing with regard to fulfilling the requirements of paragraph 2 under the corporate governance section on the website (Seek to understand and meet shareholder needs and expectations).
IMO the dispute is disuading predators from attempting a takeover at the present silly sp.
If that situation changes overnight, such that the dispute ends, money owed to Novacyt is paid by DHSC,
and the sp would rise accordingly.
There would be a larger risk of predators arriving, interested in a takeover without the risk of losing the dispute.
With £87M CaB, I would expect JW / JM to be trying to complete some fast M&A activity to counter the threat, whereupon sp would rise further, if they were successful.
"the share price will go through the gears in a flash".
If the above scenario should occur, that's what I'd expect to see with only 70.63 million shares in issue, and one of the first things that might happen is Board members buying stock.
All conjecture, and DHSC might win, but I believe the above is possible.
Ha I've not been paying much attention to everyone's views, I simply responded to Valju's interpretation of your views, which I don't subscribe to.
I don't feel too dissimilar to what you just wrote though K.
I agree with 10.55 post HC.
Valju / Harchris I stated that JW didn't "get lucky ' with a one off event , in response to something you wrote Valju .
I said something akin to ..that he has had a lengthy successful career , I never stated he was a good Chairman , I also said he was probably instrumental in securing funding back in the day. Facts gentleman please.
I see where you are coming from, but do you really believe DA pulled the wool of the BoD and recruitment (head hunters) eyes to get the job? Where they all that blind as if he sold himself to them, how come he didnt sell himself to everyone? So to speak.
Opinions do vary as yours and Kaerens re JW do.
If we do ever get that coffee/beer, I will chat about my situation with VAL, and it will make your hair stand on end! Promise... lol Hence probably why I am so cynical!
Anyway, are you going to post a disposable email or twitter account, to get contacts, or simply rely on responses here (which I dont think would be a true example of interest, personally) - up to you and looking forward to it, if it happens :)
Well you've argued that they're trying to encourage LTHs to sell for years now, surely there's more active ways they could do that than simply standing still operationally speaking and preserving the cash position? It doesn't make sense to me, if that was the case DA would have been in on it and he'd still be there. And why would they purposely wreck the company to take it private over many, many years when they had the potential to get very rich from the LTIP?
So yes to me that is a conspiracy theory and highly illegal.
As to your last point yes that's what I'm saying... I imagine in their eyes they see the share price (still!) as simply noise. They have the net cash position of a $500m company and if they truly believe they are going to see a postive outcome from the dispute then that windfall will increase significantly. And however poor operationally performance has been they know full well that if/when they are able to turn it around, start increasing revenues, start on the M&A, the share price will go through the gears in a flash. As long as they maintain that cash safety net.
My views on JW differ to Kaeren's though!
Incompetence of DA or all of them?
As to risk adverse, I would say we are going in "reverse" plus, who's decision was it to appoint DA and why did it take so long to see that it was going nowhere under his guidance
or was he just a hand selected glove puppet?
Kaeren, feels JW is a good chairman and has a pedigree of high profile previous positions? Why is he not doing more? I mean if you can spend 10 mil on R&D, surely spending 10 mil on acquisitions, that benefit and make additional income, wouldn't be too risk adverse?
Finally it is not so much as conspiracy, more of a deliberate attempt to dissuade LTH's hence why we languish were we are and of course, traders compounding the situation?
Now do they want PI's out, to have carte blanche over the current cash and then the impending dhsc win cash? Or is there some other reason? Who knows, not me...
But it just doesnt sit right somehow?
all imo fwiw
I think I missed the sarcasm, sorry!
I’ll make the telegram group later for starters and see how many are keen to join up, if it looks promising enough then I’d be happy for a zoom call or even a meet up if you so desire!
One issue though is I think we have very different ideas of what’s going on with novacyt. I very much subscribe to the incompetence angle, particularly in regard to DA and mgmt sticking with a risk averse approach for the time being, ensuring the cash position remains strong and preparing for the longer term post-dispute outcome.
I don’t buy into any of the conspiracies whatsoever!
LOL, apologies, but just wanted to see if he would? :)
Occasional humour is sometimes needed, dont you think?
Happy to travel down, when you are ready!
Oh come on Val, in one breath you’re saying serious investors only and in the next trying to sign PI100 up.
P100 why not agree to sign up to HarChris offer, to create a zoom meet for PI's to discuss IMPROVING our situation? Rather than just keep moaning? #positivevibes

re - is manipulated given that all those 1000 a trades were precisely the same time
If you do not know how the order book works then stay away from commenting
There were 8,500 shares to sell @ 54p, just as the market opened, the order took 1,000 and 7,500 was left, 3 minutes later took the rest in 1,000 lots and last 500 @ 54p
that's all, but sign of interest on the buy side ( bid)
Believe the series of regular buys are mm's portfolio housekeeping and any movement these days is down to market turmoil NCYT is just bobbing along
