Hello Naewise, hope you are well.
Great to see new Ceo taking a bullish stance, we've all sat watching the sp dwindle and not a word from the old board to support it. Long may it continue !
Personally try not to focus too much on historic events or my blood boils too and I'm sure BP heads North. It's certain posters who led us a merry dance that gets me going 😉
Nice to see this for a change.

Yes only 70.63 million shares in issue and it has been that way since 2021. I am very glad that Novacyt aren't one of those companies that keeps issuing shares YoY. I also think it is very good that Nova has a nice amount of cash behind it (hopefully even more soon) with todays climate of high interest rate, which I am also hoping will come down lol.
I remember that only too well Kaeren - it still makes one's blood boil especially as the blighters responsible for all these shenanigans get off Scot free! At least we are likely to get rid of this devious govt. sooner now than later. Situation looking decidedly buoyant and we could well exceed £1 next week once the news is digested over the weekend.
Good idea Mr buffet jnr....think weekend. ....market money can digest .......pause ....and think % .= Time . Nice to see upbeat posters
Remember folks there’s only 70.63m shares in issue
I have over 50,000 shares , 15 minutes ago I went for a small top up but HL wouldn't quote a price - trade went through 5 minutes later but interesting that it was " in auction" for a small period
Once the press picks up on this possibly over the weekend who knows potentially £3- £4 , I am pleased for any long term holders who have stuck with it .
Never thought I’d say this since the Covid days, today being a Friday there seems to be an element of FOMO taking place with all this speculation going on.
Yes Peter, brings into sharp focus a lot of the events of last few years. I was just thinking about an article I read last summer. Parallel parliament whereby Neil Hanvey MP openly accused the Govt of ignoring Novacyts Salivia test ( CTDA ) the notoriously slow validation that handcuffed us, whilst we sat by waiting and watched Chinese LFts flood the market. The supposed support for UK Diagnostics, that resulted in many UK companies being sued, instead of what they deserved, which was to be rewarded.
I hope we can very soon put this to bed and move on with bulging coffers.
Here's hoping that all of us who have held for so many years now finally see some positive results.
Calm down man ( lol )
I do love ur positivity
Still a bit to go yet
Put ur feet up and smoke a Cigar
Can we start speculating with which companies Novacyt could / should go after ? . What can £130M buy these days ? Ideally Novacyt should be going for companies with real potential for profit margins of £25+M / year
Slam dunk, otherwise, the rns, would never have appeared... no CEO wants to issue a positive rns, and then get crucified as it was proven only speculative? imo
Roll on triple digit sp and as you say WHAT they then do with these 10's of MILLIONS ?
imo dyor
All this waiting for the court case to be resolved is like waiting for your exam results to come. We did all the work, but has it brought the right result. A successful outcome will be good news. A bad outcome just means Plan B and more hard work to turn it around.
The case is crucial but I'm looking at what comes next. I've been here for 3 years and can wait a few more years for the good times to fully return. To receive a large payout will bring a spike to the share price. It's what they do with it that will really grow the business and shareholder value.
Let's hope for good news.
Today is a clear indication to which way it is going to go imo
Rejoice the news today and rejoice in WBAFC getting his monies back and then some
Some great postive posts on here today everyone is as happy as Larry Larry
Sp soon will be multiples of what it is today
Ever get that feeling we was robbed of 3 yrs !!!
End of April is not far. At least we’ll get to know if NCYT had a strong case or not rather than waiting all the way to June.
Conclusion before court - I mean why would dhsc rub salt in their wound?
Another acquisition in the pipeline - has to be on the cards?
Sp to be 3 figures again soon and moving toward mid cap as originally implied...
Patience is a virtue and two "weaks" booked in Butlins now :)
dyor imo looking forward to the "weakend" :)
If the result goes ncyt’s way then any payout close to the counterclaim will have them sitting on more cash than they did even at the peak of covid, having already endured all the costly restructuring and having acquired a quality company in YG.
No we won’t revisit the share price peak of 2020 but boy will they be well setup to hit the ground running from July forward.
Interesting that Novacyt learn of the summary judgement and one of their responses is to expedite board changes. I expected JM to maintain his position until after the full trial. They appear confident , is this appt as a result of this.
Are they getting their ducks in a row to have all systems firing post trial ?
I am hoping and with LR contacts we expect institutional investors come to Novacyt ., once Novacyt have won the case . This is where LR is the key in being the CEO and his presentation skills convincing Institutional investors to invest , which in turn will stabilize the share price and bring share holder value .
The DHSC will pay up in full . This case with Novacyt will not be reported in national news . Its no big deal in grand scheme of things with the national and international news . Wars are occurring and immigration issues nationally are more of a concern to public now than dispute with government over covid-19 diagnostic test payments . So in my opinion the government will pay up full to Novacyt . Its the tax payers that will pay for all this government's legal administration .
this means Novacyt are cash rich = £130M +
With an election looming the pressure on NHS budgets must be enormous, they are obviously not willing to risk a large payout with huge court costs, this will hopefully come out over the weekend!!
Shame this was not mentioned earlier...
But! better late than never!
Might book a "weakend" at Butlins, on the strength of this rns... :)
imo dyor
I doubt DHSC will back down, they will quite happily take it to court, as with all government bodies and the inadequate civil servants who run them, will not have to lose a penny out of their pockets personally. It’s the taxpayer who will be paying for the barristers.
I wonder if it is another attempt to get Novacyt to back down and accept a low ball offer. If the DHSC don't want to go to full trial, could settlement negotiations be in full swing as I type ?
Certainly trying to put the brakes on it but considering it’s pushing for 70p in what is a big red day for the ftse I’d say momentum is yet to be quashed.
