SKIN was poorly run until Gerard Brandon took over. He has now seen something here so all to play for.
DYOR.
I think these last few days of share price drop is more the stock market fluctuation after a rise from less than a penny a few months ago. I think there are valid points about Simon Humphrey remaining in control of the company that need to be answered and have not been answered so far. I suspect if he refuses to push himself forward at this point, he will face formal opposition at the next AGM. I think his lack of judgement is leading him to silence now and it will impact him badly if he does not start to talk a bit about his strategy.
I also think MWG has great potential, both divisions, and am always tempted to buy more when the share price dips. As well as the monitoring division's prospects, there is the membrane division which, given the scarcity of clean water and the relentless increase in world population, is going to be very significant in the long term. I would like to understand clearly what happened with the Gibraltar project, why it died and, possibly, how it could be resurrected.
wow ok
share price moment that 3.2 was or year high what usualy...usualy happens is it reteats after that hence drop people taking profit imho etc
but keep trying to talk the share down ....
The company are past masters at waffle and they still seem rather good at it. However, the hard numbers show a rather different story. Sales continue to decline and the company itself states that this will not change significantly. With a covid prototype not expected until the end of September it would seem, at best, highly unlikely that there will be any covid related sales before the end of the year - who knows about 2021? With out further sales this company may run out of cash, given the ongoing operating cash outflow, funding for the covid detector, repayment of bank loansand ongoing capex and interest before covid detection becomes a commercial reality. The problem is that there is so little data it is impossible to tell. What data there is seems remarkably confused (there are 4 different figures in the financials for operating cash outflow).
The strategic challenge through this COVID-19 pandemic is being met with the move to provide support services online, making it easier and safer to interact with customers while at the same time to increase the capacity of our equipment to provide surveillance against all sorts of contaminants and threats including viruses and pathogens.
The new platform gives us the ability to fully exploit the data the Company generates from different water systems across the world. Data analytics with the latest AI systems in collaboration with Company partners set Modern Water up for multiple revenue streams from equipment, consumables and predictive services for our existing and new clients coming online to manage their COVID-19 risk. 18th August: "There is still work to be done on it, but we have said we will have the prototype this quarter"

Normally I'd turn to Google for answers first. But when it comes to this stuff the internet usually buries the results in some un-indexed patent or law site. Anyway, I got my answer. Thanks.
Maybe some news end of September, hate to think where share price will be by then
I am afraid to say that there is news. I think that we were all expecting a significant increase in sales. However the company has stated in its financial statements (Section 2.1.1) that in 2020 it only expects a ' Small increase in revenue in Monitoring Division'. These are not my words they are the companies. A lack of sales are the fundamental problem with company and this does not look to be changing.
A very harsh drop here and SKIN but they’ve both increased significantly in the last couple of weeks. Fundamentals haven’t changed and we should have news on the real-time prototype by end of Sept (this quarter) and that should get this over 5p I reckon. Also it seems as well as monitoring they will add a tool to predict likely outbreak areas.

MWG releases news on 18 June re collecting data to predict outbreak areas so I assume they’ll do this for Covid too which will surely be demanded everywhere.
Modern Water rolls out surveillance data analytics online technologies
Modern Water, the global water crisis monitoring and solutions provider, announces its intention to strengthen its position in water monitoring by unveiling plans to roll out the latest technologies in data management, analytics and encryption to bring its business and its suite of water monitoring solutions online.
With the award winning Microtox range, capable of monitoring up to 2,700 contaminants, the system collates data that is analysed with built-in artificial intelligence to provide site specific educational insights and over time offers predictive capabilities when incorporated with external systems, such as aggregated weather data.
In addition, the Company has launched a fully integrated eCommerce solution with back-office and logistics platform, allowing clients and partners access to pricing, quotes, and equipment specifications. It has a built-in knowledge centre where 30 years of water contamination monitoring domain expertise is available to all users. Dedicated account areas for clients and partners also provide dashboards showing the live and near-time state of water monitoring sites including up to date information on consumables.
Simon Humphrey, CEO of Modern Water, commented:
"As part of the ecowaterOS [i] consortium and in collaboration with Integumen plc's data division, the Company now has the ability to increase remote surveillance capacity of clients' water contamination monitoring solutions to better protect water systems in a COVID19 world."
14th August - G Brandon - "We will be providing further updates in due course. It is still early in development and preliminary results are to be published over the coming weeks." Note the words "early" and "preliminary"
wow you think they will have no affect at all?
And oldblue if you think posts on here will have any effect on the price then dream on (not deramping of course)
"Highly alarming that the company itself is only expecting a modest rise in sales"
I can't blame them for not forecasting sales results for a product that's still in development. If anything I'm glad they aren't seizing every opportunity to hop on the Covid bandwagon, like some companies . I'm just trying to find out if:
1) I remember correctly, did GB say the prototype was weeks away, and
2) Is that still the case?
In that case then HSD is it still just around the corner (whatever that means)
mugginsthedog where were you when the share price was going up? you funnily just doing this now eh?
Disappointing that there was no update (as many posters on the board were forecasting) on Covid testing or a 'blockbuster' RNS, disappointing that the research note gave no indication on sales over the next year or two. Highly alarming that the company itself is only expecting a modest rise in sales - and that is based on an collapse in sales last year which continues a worrying trend. The company appears to be regressing.
lol it was weeks ago when they accounced they were developing it give them a chance you dont just go abra cadabra and hay presto covid detector
"that what they keep on telling us"
Well it was only weeks ago they first announced it. I'm just wondering if the original estimate is roughly the same or if the date's slipped significantly.
i see everyone is trying to get the share price down so they can buy in cheap before the covid news?
HSD, that what they keep on telling us, but this company has a history of jam tomorrow
I know they're working on it, but I thought I read not long ago that a Covid detection prototype was weeks away.
Is that right, and is it still just around the corner?
The financial results were for the year ended 31st December 2019, and as such I think most people who’ve invested here since the beginning of this year are neither vexed or pleased by the results announced. Does anyone posting here, however, have any information they can share regarding current sales projections etc that MW have commented upon? Thanks in advance
I would have thought it would sound a bit more exciting than just a “small increase“
Thanks Riddler I ve bagged here also ! Hope your keeping well mate !
I see there a Spurs Documentary on Prime . Looks a good watch
