Usual week end update -
I started this fantasy portfolio in 2016 to challenge various posters perception that Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share', on the 8th Oct 2016 I invited WL/Newchurch to choose an alternative ftse 100 company so I could run a comparison
On 8th Oct 2016 - 1000 quid bought 206 BP. shares & 1905 Lloy shares
Today's value
BP. 206 @ 509 = 1048

On 12-7-17 1000 quid bought 384 RBS & 1512 Lloy
Today's value
RBS 384 @ 225 = 864
Lloy 1512 @ 59.2 = 895
In July 2017 Utrickytrees asked that I add BARC -

DGE 37.3 @ 3097 = £1155
Lloy 1704 @ 59.2 = £1009
This weeks observation - Banking sector lifted a little by Farage/Boris deal, market holds it's breath pending election result
Overall conclusion -
A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.

Don`t take Lloyds bashing for Asperger bashing. All including me deep down respect the effort you put in for us with your weekly updates and the work you commit to for Charity with our annual gifts.
I on many occasions criticise your opinion on buybacks not that there are inherently wrong but the timing. lack of balance and unplanned policy they try to hide is concerning.
I wish to close with a vocal ,Asperger is a jolly good fella, but the format does not really lend itself to that.So I can but say thanks, tomorrow normal service will
be restored.
Take care all.
You confessing to Lloyds bashing JamesRoo? - wonder what your motive could be ???

This weeks observation - Mini rally but Covid19 fear continues to have a devastating affect on the market, good to see Lloyd has faired better than most, looking forward to my market leading divi yield
A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.

Asperger. thanks for your weekly work again.it disappoints that £5000 invested in Lloyds has fallen to the level stated. This virus could not have seen as devastating and a period of rectification will see all quality shares in a better and more realistic light.
