Stick to your calender girl!
As I said last week, there is unlikely to be a Santa Rally this year. Possibly only between the 15th to 20 th December according to current trading levels and my charts.
Lloyd's is still firmly in drydock, I see no Santa rally, but could there be drop to 38 before we leave drydock towards the end of February a possibility me thinks ,only time will tell ,then come March we be leaving drydock and hopeful into calm waters with a fair wind and on to treasure island, wishing you all a very happy peaceful Christmas and a prosperous new year, enjoy the day.
The progressive dividend has been announced with much fanfare and restarted twice within in the last 5 years.
Providing Nunn doesn't move on to pastures new, it may or may not be safe. If profits continue at their present levels then yes the policy is for the dividend to increase annually. As Nunn has only been at Lloyds since August 2021 there is a good chance the progressive dividend will continue. Of course a new CEO may have a different policy and restart the program all over again. Anyone know how long Nunn's contract is set to run?
Stocks in London are expected to open slightly lower as investors look ahead to the Autumn Statement on Wednesday.
Spread betting companies are calling the FTSE 100 down by around 10 points
I wouldn't.
Quite poor % increases.
Pushing it a bit to call that progressive.
Fingers crossed for a healthier return.
I would be happy if the dividends come close to what analysts are forecasting up to 2028.

Establishment globalist pseudo left wing posh boys
That’s true LTI.

''Lloyds will have to continue increasing profits if the share price is to rise.''
Not a reducing profitability figure should be sufficient ( any increase a bonus), along with a 5-10% reduction in share count each year.

When we hit 63p in 2024
There be no need for further buy backs
Just imagine the Dividend pot when that happens

If Lloyds get the circa £1 billion back from the Telegraph loan/ sale, surely worth looking at buying Tesco bank to build credit card business

"The Gini coefficient (inequality) has improved +3% since 2010... "
This is a measure of inequality. Zero represents perfect equality and 1 represents perfect inequality. An increasing value would mean greater inequality; I suppose it depends on your politics but I dont see that as an improvement for a country.
Lloyds current share price is related to its dividend yield and is being priced accordingly like many shares. Lloyds will have to continue increasing profits if the share price is to rise. And then there is the fear of Labour taxes on bank profits should they achieve a clear majority at the next election. Can’t see if moving that much in the short term asides the Santa rally in the run up to the new year. Another £2bn buy back would help a bit next year.
Livestock,
You can’t be serious thinking Bailey has done a good job surely ? 🙄 Inflation was going to be “transitory” wasn’t it according to Governer Bailey ? All that money printing was going to end in inflation. He's been a disaster.
Nigel in the jungle 9 o'clock, not sure he's gonna do himself favours, watch and see. Think he might rock the boat.
If government wants the UK to grow it cannot afford being a tax on business state. Any businesses!!
The more money the UK banks make will only lead to windfall taxes from whichever party gets in next . A cash cow , same with Oil and Gas companies . I hope i am wrong . The Media love bashing UK companies making money . Take from the " rich shareholders " and give to the poor .
We are all hanging in to your every word and prey SUFC!!
Let's hope your preys are heard 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️❤️☮️😃
And blair was not self serving ? ?
Lloyds shares should benefit from next weeks Autumn statement, encouraging us to buy British Shares in our ISAs with tax benefits
All I want for Christmas
