Well spotted mr Q . Its my biggest holding and this article confirms it will do very well speaking as an ex geologist
Is that your biggest holding in terms of number of shares, in which case it is mine too by quite a margin !
Good luck...I'm looking forward to an interesting year with JLP
Interesting article, get the flipping Roan back up properly and we will be back in double figures in no time
Yes Frog, I'm hoping this article was released a tad early and the RNS is coming Monday.
Exciting times if it's all complete as stated.. baring commissioning of course.
Where does it say all is complete?
Gambler
Read the headlines.
It says COMPLETED
It also states “while awaiting the delivery of the new front-end module” which is the piece stopping commissioning? No further forward to me?
Good advice dorfan. You can not hide much information in headlines, hence it is good information for JPL. I did not bother to read probably false information beyond headlines.
Dorian
Read again. It says manufacturing…
It was manufactured in Feb…
Manufacturing completed…
It was shipped to Zambia in Feb. If Manufacturing was not completed I’d be a little worried.
Good morning everyone,
The module has been manufactured and transferred to Zambia and has been built in Zambia but it had a vital piece of equipment missing the electronic component. Which hopefully has now been fitted and Roan is currently being commissioned. That is my understanding of the current situation.
So to be clear. Like I said. There is no new information held within the previously supplied link.
Leon still has a few weeks before coming up with a sentence with the word ‘SIGNIFICANT’ in it 30 times.
From RNS
“based on the latest delivery schedules, the team is set to conclude assembly and commissioning by the end of May 2024.”
Having been here for many years, would it be a first time something is completed early (albeit late)…?
RNS
Copper Processing Plants
· Following the revision of the project timetable at Roan occasioned by the logistical problems at South African ports, the expansion of the front end of the Roan concentrator is on track for commissioning by end of Q1 CY2024. It forms a fundamental part of Jubilee's strategy to progress production to 13 000 tonnes per annum of copper contained in concentrates.
· Manufacturing and testing of the new 50 000 tonnes per month copper processing module is now completed, with the final components being prepared for transit to Roan for commissioning.
Sumoskier. The full sentence is "In addition, these efforts ensured Roan continued to produce copper products while awaiting the delivery of the new front-end module,". As a grammar school boy that says to me they were waiting for it IN THE PAST. Rather like me saying " I read the magazine while waiting for the bus" (actually should be whilst though). Hence the part is already delivered. They are not still waiting for it.
Again…
This was from the Feb RNS.
Manufacturing and testing of the new 50 000 tonnes per month copper processing module is now completed, with the final components being prepared for transit to Roan for commissioning.
Shuvlin,
I appreciate it is a beautiful day here in the UK, but maybe, take off those rose tinted when reading that link, where there really is - no new news.
Hi all
Does this conversation really matter,it’s not going to change anything. We can’t do anything about it, when it’s ready it’s ready. The market seems to think it is
Gambler. Not in the UK and the understanding of grammar is not achieved by donning the rose tinted brillen. Just pointing out a fact that some see as a hindrance to their agenda.
It’s a poorly written article that leaves you with more questions than answers ( much like a Jubilee RNS) , the interesting thing for me is the timing - why are they publishing this now, if it is just old news?
That article is under the 'magazine' section of the website, I think it's just been written as a feature for the hard copy magazine they put out. Most of it is lifted from old RNS's or previous news articles.
Sorry Gambler, where do we get 50,000 tonnes from, I read 25,000 tonnes per year over the next 2 years
Sprint, copied from the Feb RNS…
