For a big day today with a Monday morning rns. 🤞
Good morning everyone,
Bank holiday on Monday charttopper:)
Already a couple of months late Sprinter but not late for end of May as yet.
Sorry, Tuesday
I guess if there was going to be a material delay we would have had the RNS by now.
What a good morning it is, except for my champagne induced headache. My wife's cancer is a thing of the past- all biopsies negative, just needs some radiotherapy in the two affected areas as a precaution and she's done. My dad is recovering from his radiotherapy and is starting to eat better. His lung cancer is terminal but there's hope now he can have a year or two of quality life ahead of him. We live in hope.
Thank you to all who wished us well, strangers or not, the milk of human kindness matters a lot.
Hope you are on the mend TG5 and you are right about the feedstuff leading to lower pgm's - they deliberately used lower grade feedstock whilst pgm prices were subdued. Not sure what they have done in the last couple of weeks of metal price exuberance.
That’s brilliant Kalan, cheered me up for the day. More champagne in order.
That’s great news Kalan.
BB
Great to hear the good news Kalan.
Good call on the sell at 8.8p. You looking to get back in again?
Very good news Kalan.
Long may it continue.
Maybe RNS on Tuesday as Monday is a Bank Holiday
Thanks Bluebelly, Gray1, Mikie - the last two calls were influenced by my home situation but based on the likeliehood of a rise or fall, a silver lining to what was going on. Luck comes into this as we all know. Just caught up with posts and TA.
Yes definitely looking to get back in, the copper price and share price of JLP got a bit over excited on reflection. Buttermilk was being more optimistic than Mikie lol. The share price and copper price got ahead of the fundamental situation (I know me talking about fundamentals).
All the 1 year TA says there is further to fall - be patient for a lower re-entry point. The weekly chart offers some more resistance to a fall, 8.2p was the big resistance which it fell through. Might see the market makers re-test the 8.2p to see if there's an appetite to go back up, I suspect there isn't.
Now the good news - the bottom of the rising channel is now at 7.6p which, without bad news, should be the bottom here. More good news the channel is rising at about 0.25 p per week (I'll re-check that at some point).
If I could get 7.8p now I'd chuck the lot back in in one go. The bottom of the channel will be at 7.8p by the end of next week.
Should I buy some now and some next week when indicators should be better. We could have a delay rns that drops the sp through the channel. We could have a positive rns on Tuesday or at the end of play today, JLP have done that before which leads to me buying back in at 8.8p where I sold.
Got until my delivery arrives to decide as we are off for the weekend.
If I could get 8p today I think I'd put a third in and wait on the rest for that 7.8p (taking the spread into account). Probably not going to buy any today, going to risk it if I don't get near my entry target.
In the grand scheme of things, this is just a bit of fun, hopefully profitable fun.
Kalan, why not just put limit orders in and free up time?
You seem to have decided some buying points. If they don't trigger and you have to buy higher you can always change or buy on a quote.
Do I have the wrong impression on how you go about your buying.
Just interested.
Good stuff Kalan. Time is indeed precious and sometimes can ay you realise it more than others.
Regards news. I do not expect to hear of the component is delayed. They buried the last bit of news until then quarterly. I also do not expect to get a running commentary on the current, even if Roan is commissioned. These lot really are kit that clues on on how to return value to investors. Rather that or they do not care.
I recall the 3.2mw mintek smelter (the one that exploded in 2009), when that was up and running we used to get a high level RNS detailing production figures every 4 weeks.
If I were in charge I would do the same for the first 6 months of roan being up and running. Give some confidence to the markets that all is good and gain a little confidence\trust back into management,
Tg5
Sorry about typos, I should read what I type before posting.
Bring back Hamish bohannan is what I would say. Top man.
Hi Kalan,
Great news - well worth a champagne hangover!
Very best wishes,
Prof
Was it Twickenham? TG5. The adjacent mine?
Shareswotter - I've done that before and what inevitably happens is that I set a buying price of say 7.8p and I,m not looking in and the share price turns at say 7.85p. That evening I check in to see the share price at 8p and think missed the turn so I'll get in tomorrow morning, low and behold it opens at 8.2p and I've missed half of the rise. So I try to make myself available on the day I think it's going to turn and move my buying point based on the 8 or 9 indicators that I use. Hoping for a steady climb once it turns this time. Just trying to buy low, it's harder work and more time consuming the way I do it but it appears to pay off. Once you've decided on your share (fundamentals)m, the only two decisions left are when to buy and when to sell. It makes sense to me to put all your efforts into those two points in time.
It certainly was, Kalan.
The buyer of Quartzill was never disclosed. Highly likely it was Anglo American who was looking to buy it. Shame if fell though.
Great news Kalan, very happy for you
Hi Kalan
I really had no idea about your circumstances, I hope your wife is OK and that you spend as much time with your father as possible.Good Luck Edzi
