Nice bounce this morning
I have just seen this https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=8b234641-d845-42a3-92fc-2aceb5487d66&utm_source=Lexology+Daily+Newsfeed&utm_medium=HTML+email+-+Body+-+General+section&utm_campaign=Lexology+subscriber+daily+feed&utm_content=Lexology+Daily+Newsfeed+2020-12-18&utm_term=
Some of the proposals are interesting and may shorten the time that procurements take. I manot sure how transparent the new regime will be.
Consultation opened on 16 December 2020. Closing date 13 January 2021 at 17:00.
Summary
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA), Resource and Efficiency Division, is the regulatory authority for Northern Ireland with regard to the Water Abstraction and Impoundment licensing Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2006 and the Water (Northern Ireland) Order 1999. This responsibility is delivered by the Water Regulation Team, within the Northern Ireland Environment Agency.
The competent authority (The Department) considers it appropriate to obtain the opinion of the general public and this project is being advertised under Regulation 43(4) of The Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995.

ban4118 thanks for letting the BB know that the consultation will be completed so soon. Given there has been ample opportunity for all interested parties to correspond with DAERA and the water regulator since March it will be interesting to know if this “mini consultation” brings in any new information. I’m very hopeful the licence awards which most of us have long awaited are now just around the corner
I did not realise that the consultation close date was already 13 January 2021. That is just 4 weeks away with XMas and New Year in the middle. In fact it hardly seems like a consultation at all. Feels like good news to me.
TTNY. I guess you've realised now Si_D only posts before leaving / after returning from his local pubs.........it seems no Covid19 restrictions in his neck of the woods!!
Tango. Based on personal experience, any production/project manager will tell you, you only hire people based on confirmed contracts or orders. Things definitely ratcheting up in INFAland!!!
Spud. 2 years ago........You're right, I agree. However, it's ironic the SP was more than double what we have today!!
You set 'em up. And I'll always take advantage. lol
Happy Crimbo, matety. :)
That goes for all of you.
Regards, Si. :)
Thanks, Tango, for your valued interest in my well being.. much appreciated and well flattered.
Am still very much invested and read the blogs from time to time.
Can’t agree more with those commenting about today’s news being a little negative yet the SP has held firm .. that itself speaks volumes and we now have an indication of a published and more open dialogue with Daera .. JW and team did so well to change direction in 2019 when funds were short IM was stalled and Infa was going nowhere, except down the proverbial hole in the Loch .. now look at us .. stay confident for 2021 .. good riddance 2020. !!
Si Derm, ya rascal ya. Guess though i invited that response with my choice of words though, lol.
*Note to self* - Re read any posts and the wording before posting, as Si may interpret things a little different having the mind he has :-)
Spelling is a Lost Ark
With Christmas, the 13th Jan will come around quickly. If there is no NEW scientific evidence to challenge, then I think it will be relatively quick and straight forward from there. Don’t listen to protestors views on the planning permission. We’ve already enacted the planning as we’ve built the well site.
TTNY, where can I sign up for these oily hand jobs? ;)
And, what gets you more excited? The "dirty hands" or the "white collars".
Think Julie Andrews could re-write, "these are are few of my favourite things", just for you. lol
Radders typo apols
Raiders yes that's how I see it aswell
Has anyone had contact from Dawski? not seen him post for a while. Hopefully having time off but hope he is ok.
I see this as very positive .. now a clear timeline and would expect action once this short consultation period is over. To be honest it’s crossing the xmas period so in reality even shorter https://www.daera-ni.gov.uk/consultations/islandmagee-gas-storage-project-December-2020-consultation-AIL%20%26%20Consent%20to%20Discharge
Yep Q1 2021 ,plus the shipbuilding contracts going to be a happy New year for many imho
Says consultation opens today ends 13 Jan 2021
Not a chance with me buying imho ,this is definitely a multibagger and future divis imho dyor!!:)
Stokey. Re Appledore, they already have a bank of CVs from the recent 2 day jobs fair event there. From memory i believe they had 400 to 500 folk attend that event.
Re national press coverage and PR Chrisa, definitely it would help. I know it's just a simple thing and I've said it before, but I get increasingly peed off with the H & W Facebook page showing a feckin elf photo every day. You're a shipyard H & W ! ! Show us some pics of work you're doing ! ! Tell us what you're doing. Tell us about new starts. Tell us about an increasing work force ! Tell us how you're successfully fighting against Covid restrictions ! This social media facility is all coverage and could be very positive national coverage if utilised.
And yes, I've messaged H & W with my thoughts and elf frustration.
ivans In relation to your 14.27 we appear to be in a trading range and 40p is well below the current trading range so \i would doubt you will see 40p this side of the new year if at all.
if it does go back to 40p i will have my purse out :)
delay is unfortunate though
I agree ThisTimeNextYeer the jobs page portrays a company with a future would be good to get national coverage to show H&W are taking on staff not making them redundant in this Covid age.
