I mention on 17th below I did not post the two 1th May 2022 buys .
Bit of luck they will be out of the red soon .
The rising tide is lifting many of my boats , thank God .
The first buy in 2021 longer way to go .
This is under the radar and since the great news RNS had a nice rally. This has got legs and long way to go so topping up.
The UK market makers are hopeless at valuing technology companies and have still not priced this in to potential green growth shares, they are sitting on the fence, its no wonder Arm are reluctant to come to UK market?
Seriously do you really believe these moves are just coincidence timing with both America and the EU looking to spend billions subsidizing critical green technology and bring it to either America or the EU? The UK will also have to compete for these next gen green jobs, and the Chinese have not got started yet with serious subsidies although they prefer other ways of gaining this vital green technology.

the US is attracting green tech companies from around the world to move to the US, or American companies to buy green technology or companies that can exploit the green technology subsidies in the American $369 billion Inflation Reduction Act, VRS graphene technology fits this because it reduces carbon whilst still keeping strength advantages.
our market makers have not realised this yet and just marked down all technology companies but Green technology must be valued with at premium

I'm just as excited about Williams advanced engineering being involved as BMW.
Looks like all manufacturers have there fingers in a lot of pies when it comes to SSB technology. sensible thing to do really considering if I was ordering an electric car I would be looking at max range, cheapest/quickest charging all battery defined! So the company who’s technology is taken on will reap the rewards. Once the battery issues are sorted people will start looking at the car again but currently battery wins over car at least for me.
Everything isnt always about the money (though of course it helps!) if the right people are working on the projects .My only concern here is what will the likes of bmw get out of it in return, just like Toyota previously. Britains history is full of blokes (and gals) in a garage somewhere coming up with new technology/products the big boys want, they just tend to get bought out.
Don't forget stereax as well.
True there is some like quantumscape but I think Ilika is a bargain
you might want to head over to nasdaq and look at the battery companies there and the amount funding they have, and the sort of money that has been invested by the German automotive giants. How much is BMW investing their own money here?
Be informed, there is no excuse in remaining ignorant when all the information is at your fingertips these days. Then you will understand that this is pocket money and will make no difference.
I like that some random guy on the internet speculating, thinks he knows more about the industry than the people actually running the company and the other companies investing millions into it.
If only they'd read your post full of such amazing insights...
Throwing good money after bad!!
What will £8 million achieve ... nothing. The funding is too little to make a difference, mere state funding for jobs for boys in academia and private companies whose only survival mode is sponging off the tax payer. Nothing will ever materialise that will be translational. They will do just enough to apply for another grant 3 or 4 years years down the line and on and on it will go.
In the meantime, serious players in USA/China/South Korea/Japan backed by serious money will develop the technology which we will all be using few years down the line.
If they are serious about developing this, put serious money (hundreds of millions even billion) the most viable idea be it here or someone else and go for it full throttle. But they won't, they will throw around pennies everywhere to keep everyone happy and as long as its seen as that they are investing in "new technologies" of the future, all is good.
Very Good News .... getting involved in producing an "industry standard" cell set by the Car Manufacturers is a smart way to get adoption of the solid state technology. Even better in some repsects to being allied to just one Manufacturer.
As J47 noted .. that one of the Manufacturers is BMW is a major major plus .

Great news for the holders and top up opportunity. This is great news . BMW name will.make this the share to buy .
Hi,
What a woefully composed piece of staged comms. I'm not au fait with Proactive Investors but I hope they aren't all like that. I know there is a difference twixt academia and business leadership but i bet my life he'd rather do a stunning powerpoint and bamboozle us all with graphs and statistics.
Gaining some traction though in my humble opinion.
GLAXXX
Would have been nice if he had given some context to his statement. On the face of it, an 80% increase looks great, but is it useable, stable, has it impinged on other desirable characteristics, and, how do they actually stand compared to other significant global players? Tell us about the energy density you have actually achieved!
cash burn 9m
Not only that with solid state batteries there won't be as much charging required putting less stress on the electricity supply and ultimately your finances .
Look forward to Q2 2023 for stereax:-)
I thought todays update was solid. 18M cash on hand so no real raise concerns. Good progress on commercialisation of the minature Stearex batteries. 21 live customer leads so surely some will come home.
For me though its the 80% increase in energy density on the Goliath Batteries. Let's face it electric cars are pups in the real world . No range No charging stations and a painful waiting time if yiu can find a charger thats working. The big advantage of Solids over Lithium is they hold more charge and are much quicker to charge. The advantage seems to have been extended by the comment in the 1/2 yr report. Maybe Illika really do have a technology edge that car manufacturers will be screaming for . We can but hope from both a personal and planet level
