Toyota and ilika share some solid state battery technology patents

This is fast becoming a very serious problem, another fire started inside home with e/scooter, shows the desperate need for solid state batteries for these and electric bikes which because of value must be stored and charged inside, next generation solid state lithium batteries will have a killer USP in these devices, ilika should prioritise these batteries as a mid step before EV's

Hi Buzzthomas. You are correct, I wont be investing until the numbers become clearer. RNS's can be issued even if 1 item is sold and the way AIM works nowadays, you can't trust an RNS, a set of audited numbers or the leaders of the companies.
FlobaLobweed, if you were talking about what I wrote, just simply ask the question at the upcoming company meets investor call. You will then have your own insight.
Thanks for your insight. Was going to buy, but now i won't.
Someone ask how many batteries have actually been shipped at the next investor meet company meeting. I'm almost certain GP won't tell you the answer. And the reason I don't think he will give you an answer is because I don't think you are going to like it.
Damn suffice to say it's on directors talk

A reasonable enough update in this mornings RNS. At current burn rate they are financed for 2 plus years
What i did find interesting is that for the Stearex micro cells they have 23 orders from 20 customers . That's very surprising . Normally i would have expected to see orders from one or two customers only in this kind of tech product . 20 customers tells me the sales team are being effectively but more likely that the market demand is bigger than I thought .
I have always been minded to think that its the Goliath batteries where the real money lays. Maybe it can play out with Stearex generating the cash to fund the Goliath development .
All up a steady as she goes RNS I feel
This is my burning question - surely this could be huge. I would have thought the Boffins at Ilika would already have thought of this though. I was planning to ask at the last investor meets company webcast, but missed the event!
There are signs that investor enthusiasm for battery stocks is returning:-
The UK's first Lithium-Ion battery recycling plant has just been approved.
And the s.p. of its part owner, Technology Minerals (TM1), has more than doubled recently, from 0.875p on 24th. March, to 2.25p today (market cap. £34M.)
25/04/2023 07:00 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Technology Minerals PLC EA Approves Lithium-ion Battery Recycling Plant LSE:TM1 Technology Minerals Plc

And from a 19.4.23 ARA video interview:-
"... The sectors that we're particularly interested in are in energy storage generally, but particularly in battery technologies. ..."

Just had another thought could these new micro solid state batteries find way in to smartphones powered forever just by movement, to free up main battery power for other power intensive tasks, all always on requirements could be powered this way?
Buying on the open but nothing else at all. don't get why but there it is.
if the US markets don't push the sp up over here then have to assume that market just thinks it's a bit more detail on last rns and nowt to rave about.
On IKA and SBTX today ....heres hoping for a great day
Yes it was :-)

Positive interview this morning
I have to say listening to the interview I am totally uninspired compared to what I was led to believe 5 or 6 years back. Eye contact lenses? Dental braces? I mean really? Where has all the talk of consumer products dissapeared? Ver , very dissapointed.

Illustrates nicely the range of applications. The potential is enormous.
But, ......, I do wish people could do the basics right. See column two, page 1:
"The battery must NOT unintrusive to the wearer as any object thicker than a few hundred microns becomes an irritant to the eye."
Clearly, they mean "... must BE unintrusive......" or " must not BE intrusive .....". Also, the webpage link does not work.
Are they actively collaborating with other companies on this (and the other applications they cite), or is it merely blue-sky thinking?
