I wonder if any news will come out of the flow battery forum conference next week?
Not sure why it’s showing as a sell, but the 3,517 showing as a sell at 9:58 this morning was a buy, just topping up a little in advance of news.

The results should no doubt include an updated on the pipelines but I think the webinar (maybe following a few days later) will likely get things more fired up.
Full year results out next week. Not expecting any surprises, but it’s an opportunity for this remarkable company to get a little exposure. Any thoughts anyone?
The 1000 trade recorded earlier at 19.8p as a sell was my buy.

Morning all,
Someone asked my opinion on valuation yesterday which I answered this morning with a fairly long thread.
Thought it would be worthwhile copying it here also.

For those that perhaps don't visit Twitter so much here is a thread I have put together on signposted news over the next 6-9 months.
Significant contract wins. Supply chain and market development. Mistral launch. Lots coming our way as Invinity moves into the next phase of its corporate development.

Probably need to have announcement re director options while the share price is low - fix the price and then watch it fly - ha ha.
Not really bothered either way, I can see this flying following a few updates, especially the forward looking statements at the full year announcements - when investors see the the update's start to come through, I personally think this will fly,
It’s clearly no secret on what they expecting/forecast so if this comes off, or even starts well, then IES will rerate quickly.
Good luck all
That was my feeling also Richard08.
I have spent a little time looking up the rules around placements without success but my gut says they have access to too much inside info to be allowed to participate. but others may know otherwise.
We are due 2023 results I believe? The closed period is two months (?) so there can't be any director buys at the moment.
Why do you expect them?
So why no director buys???

All you need to know.
Potential 5.5x in 12 months.
Fully funded, equity stake held by the UK Government.
Incredible IES sits 3p below the placing price, and also market cap is just £20m above the cash in bank.
So the full enterprise value of IES is just £20m LOL
Totally mind boggling. As orders start coming through, expect IES to sky rocket towards target price.

I have just bought 40,000 shares and it shows up as a sale. This seems to be happening a lot atm.
Over in the USA the share price on the OTC market ended up last night at $0.282! It will be interesting to see what happens when the US market opens.

Not sure if this has been posted before as I am a newbie. Worth having a look at this for context on the supply chain issue - https://chemrxiv.org/engage/api-gateway/chemrxiv/assets/orp/resource/item/62a76b9f8f92d915724f9f90/original/materials-availability-and-supply-chain-considerations-for-vanadium-in-grid-scale-redox-flow-batteries.pdf
''Vanadium forms about two-thirds of the value of the electrolyte, which in turn forms about a quarter of the landed cost of a battery, and so a fluctuation in the price of vanadium will impact the profitability of battery sales. '
If the vanadium price spikes in time due to large battery manufacturers demanding enormous amounts of vanadium then I'm sure there will be fixed price off-take agreements in place to ensure long and prosperous business relationships - it won't be good for the producers either to see the boom bust cycles of old.
As for partnerships IES has an MOU with US Vanadium although they don't have a particularly big electrolyte plant. For now IES' batteries aren't consuming all that much vanadium but they will soon and I'm sure we'll hear more re electrolyte partners and long term pricing models as the company and sector matures.
No they aren’t.
I believe IES is partnered with Bushveld Minerals in South Africa which is one of the largest Vanadium producers in the world?
What concerns me with IES are Vanadium supply chain issues and any future spike in Vanadium pricing. The last spike in 2018 caused a 2 year delay in the completion to the Dalian VRFB site and a similar situation is likely to happen again with limited supply.
Any spike in V pricing would benefit Vanadium miners but have a negative impact on VRFB battery manufacturing.
Small step in the right direction. The big test will be whether they can scale up to deliver products to the quality, timescales and budget required by customers. This inflection point is often very tricky to manage for companies with innovative technology.
Good to see the pipeline projects being realized.

Doing a small top up to get my average under 30p here was just too tempting.. so I succumbed.. you're all welcome.. I really really don't want to throw any more money at this doggy from here forward ..... so please please share price don't go further down from here
I think that’s about the most emphatic Friday afternoon response to a dip that I have seen for a while.

Hurry up with the explosively positive RNS’s we’re all waiting for IES and that you’ve baited to death!!!!!!
PS : Doyezeee is very good at talking up his bet here, in fairness.. including sweeping piles of the c+ap that doesn't suit his rose tinted view under the rug.. but here's hoping he's right in the end !
Generally, I'd very much hope we're close to the s/p bottom now.. I'll offer the s/p chart for the last three years being a car crash to back that hope up.. that said under 20p could of course happen .. I'd top up if it did.. but great if it doesn't
Very probably plenty of those punchy sells were/are sells, Sahid. (Ditto today...)
Good luck with your bet here.. I have semi decent hope it might turn out to be a good bet... in due course
NicetoMichu: Quite possible those punchy sells were buys! I just bought 29000 at 22.43p!
Disappointed that punchy sells curbed a potentially half decent rally here yesterday.. but news - hopefully - on big Mistral orders/deliveries later this year will underpin a meaningful rally here, in due course imho..
(Whilst decent size sells around now may feel strange to some, I'll offer that there's always some selling going on for different reasons.. but serious buying whenever here should overpower the selling readily enough, I'd hope
Generally, my guess remains that some selling here is a '+uck you' to the management here.. as they've diluted the absolute arriss out of many loyal shareholders over time, and especially this latest time round; unfortunately Mistral will take much more time and money to get to market than management originally 'expected'....and management took in as much money as they could get in the recent raise - at least a lot was offered, in fairness -and as management they know this is an expensive and brutal game.. more generally, while I wouldn't call them incompetent, the journey here so far is no great testament to their strong competence either imho.. still, looking forward is the way to go now,.. and here's to the future being bright here.. it could of course be.. very hopefully)

Serious investment and capacity up scale very good
Nice statement of intent 😁
RNS out. That's a lot of capacity.

Ah, thanks GBCol, hadn’t considered that!
We get this every time there is a fundraise. So just for clarity, the holding RNSs do not mean that the Insti holders have sold, it just means they now have a small percentage of the overall number because there are now more shares in play (if the didn’t take part in the latest raise).
If you compare the new holdings with those of Mar 2023 (which i have), you will see that GSR hold exactly the same number of shares, Johnson Chang hold exactly the same number of shares, and Utilico have sold only about 200,000 of their nearly 8 million.
I think holding RNSs should be clearer but then again, it’s not too difficult to find out the info.
I have managed to average down to 46p (over 7 years) and will too be buying more if there’s any short term drop in the SP
Can’t see why anyone still holding with a high average would sell up now given the company is on the pivot everyone’s been waiting for for years. There holding would down so much that they’d have written it off along time ago so now it’s a ‘free hit’ as huge potential upside but little more to lose than they already have if this doesn’t deliver but with UKIB and other II’s investing £50 million, I just don’t see this going anyway but up very soon and once the good news starts coming, this will motor. GLA
Trusting to the sentiment at the time I didn't sell and so my average is 198p! Its worrying that despite its clear advantages VF technology has still made very few inroads into the BES market which is still dominated by Lithium. Thankfully my original investment was quite small but I had hoped for better things (and still do).

You’re right James it just amalgamates data from across the internet
For small caps it's AI driven. Part of the picture, but far from a complete picture.
In my view Simply Wall Street is automated analysis and should be ignored.
Is that not a kind of odd report? Although dated 27th May, it seems to be based on holdings before the recent fund-raise. It makes no mention of the UKIB, which I think is now the largest shareholder?

As of today, All the additional shares from capital raise are now added to and tradeable on the market yes?
Does anyone know their investment strategy? Had a look on their website and it wasn't clear what returns they typically look for and what their exit plan is
Sorry, meant to say the cash injection into the company is more than the current market cap so the additional shares (which are in similar proportion) being added will be offset by the additional cash and I therefore expect the SP to remain stable (but quickly uptrend) once the new shares are completed. If SP was looking likely to go below 23p, why would UKIB and II’s be buying £50 million pounds worth at 23p?!! GLA
And I bought an extra 5000 shares at 4pm today which is showing as a sell and my previous buy showed up as unknown so I wouldn’t be paying much attention to the trades listed in that regard!
But the cash injection into the company is more than twice the current market cap so the extra cash injection should offset the dilution to existing shareholders by the additional shares coming to market IMO. If anything, once the additional shares are tradable, I think the SP will rise aided by significant positive news on Mistral and Orders. GLA
You couldn't buy approx 22m shares at 22/23p or remotely like on the open market, I'd expect .. but no such big buying happens in the open market in this AIM game, alas..
Overall still a very large raise imho.. and very diluting to existing holders.. and here's hoping they can turn this business into a success from here/now..
(Longterm holders who haven't averaged down are mostly smashed, I expect/sadly ...but that's often the nature of this game, alas.. and. after the epic dilution here over time, this stock is not currently as appealing to mr as it was when I first got involved to in truth.. but all is of course to p[ay for from here.. and my average is still relatively low versus the field, I expect ..
Good luck to all fellow holders
Yes, but no guarantees in placing these, it will be interesting to see if they place the other shares as you can buy in the market at similar pricing. If they do, I feel this will provide more confidence that the shares are in demand.
PI’s looks like they want to see where this is going, but plenty of new big money investors now involved, can they attract some PI’s also I wonder…

Have a feeling many may have bought in the market rather than via the open offer, as you could buy at 23p or slightly lower.
In one positive, I guess it means a little less dilution, but also a little less cash raised.
It will be interesting to see how the market responds to this - probably will stay flat until news/updates are announced!
