Nah too much progress and growth is being seen to be forced into a deeply discounted placing again + the cash burn is exaggerated due to so much of the costs being sunk first before the revenue is realised.
Cash will probably last through to early 2024 at which point they'll be close to cash break even and be in a position to bring a partner on board.
Sell on the jump as a fund raise will be required in the next 6 months.
Excellent RNS, sounds promising for the new product Mistral still in development
IES is a breath of fresh air, expect the SP to show the effect.
Excellent numbers in the results too. Huge increases in production and sales. The purchases of mistral ahead of release are incredible. Looking forward to the open at 8am!
US DOE’s expected order of 84MWh of Mistral batteries is an absolute game changer and very strong endorsement of the product itself
Mistral flying off the shelf on pre-order, hotter than the i-phone 15!
Looking forward to that 43.1MWh of Base catergory being anounced in the coming months as well.
And Interim Results RNS reads very nicely too 😁
Hold on to your hats and your golden tickets folks, this time next year, we’ll be milwionaires Rodders!!!!!
Someone got the nod ahead of this announcement and explains why we saw the 2 huge buys last week!!! 😁
Excellent. Just saw this release over on X too. My favourite company at the moment. Just bought some more.
Yes, I'm sure IES and Elemental will be able to showcase the site for future projects. It's further proof that IES is well out of the proof of concept stage and can compete on the world stage. Canada has a growing interest in renewables and is backed with a very encouraging government.
Excellent RNS, further evidence that the Company is able to deliver, unlike many AIM companies. Hopefully more to come from the partners in this project.
2 million share transaction just gone through. If it’s a buy then my theory of an II trying to accumulate under the radar and at an artificially held down low price still holds. 2 million to the 3million the other day would keep them handily just under the 3% figure that would require them to issue an RNS and show their hand. So they can add a few more before the price is allowed to rise. Coincidence? Anyway, it’s a theory, time will tell whether it’s nonsense or a good call.
I should have added that Sunak will face an enormous backlash for his latest statement but he could still achieve the net zero target of 2050 by the freeing up of the Grid to accelerate projects.
Carrying on from the Lords enquiry, it seems that Sunak has grasped some of the situation and intends to change the existing rules which presently mean that companies that want to connect their projects to the Grid must join a queue, and it is years long. Now he wants to give the Grid the power to prioritise the more viable and important projects which will include storage. Thats the gist of this story which might be behind a paywall.

Altering an existing orders doesn't quite cut it for me.
We got a meaningful one last week, do you expect one every Thursday?
Would be nice to get a meaningful RNS wouldn't it.
Many thanks BESST.
The Capacity Market is a mechanism which most mature energy systems have, ensuring security of supply. An owner of a battery energy storage site will receive revenue each year to ensure they have capacity available to the Grid in times of system stress. It's a core part of the battery storage business case, offering fixed revenue for either a year, 10 years of 15 years depending on your contract - essentially making storage assets more 'bankable'. Storage systems are currently heavily penalized in the market, as they're given a high de-rating factor. This means they only receive a portion of this revenue relative to traditional thermal generation (gas plants etc). Matt will be pushing for lower de-rating factors, to increase revenue. Currently in the GB market there's discussion of possible cap and floor mechanisms to help provide a minimum investment return for asset holders. Flow batteries aren't great at delivering frequency (fast, second by second response) services that currently make up the majority of battery revenue, so it's pretty critical Invinity push for other revenues to make their batteries attractive to utility storage investors. This is the issue in all markets not just GB.
Much was said about the Capacity Market. I'm not sure that I fully understand what it is and what it's relevance is. Would someone more knowledgable help me out here.
Well the circa 3million share buy on Friday hasn’t been reversed as far as I can see, so must have been a genuine buy. Judging by the price action, I’m guessing that they haven’t finished buying so price is being held low and we’ll see another chunk go through in next few days. If that happens then they will probably go through 3% and have to do a holdings RNS.
I could be wrong but that’s why I think the SP has fallen rather than risen after the Everdura RNS which was undeniably positive. So I’m taking the opportunity to add in the hope/ belief that SP will rise imminently.
For those that don't read Twitter (X) Invinity's Matt Harper was answering questions from the Science and Technology Committee today on energy storage. It is well worth a listen as questions about the opportunities and challenges in the UK grid were dealt with. Matt was clearly the most engaging respondent and was very well-received by the committee members.
Most important for me was Matt's confirmation that the 30MWh LODES project is "expected" to enter manufacturing and construction in Q2 2024. I was becoming a little concerned about project timescales and cash flows being pushed out so this was very good to hear. Following Larry Zulch's recent comments I am confident there is still much more to come but with this project now expected next year's workload is already shaping up to be a marked increase on that seen in 2023.

When I saw the 1m trade I tried a few dummy trades. I could get a quote to buy over 100k at 41p but could only sell 10k before it want to NT.
My guess is the large trade is a mistake that will be corrected. But if it is a real trade it could well show up on a TR-1 in the next few days.
Because it cannot be a genuine trade, more like a mistake that will be corrected
