I suspect that Johan Hattingh has been asked (told) to dip his hand in his pocket and buy some shares. Or even better, he knew from his inside knowledge that it’s a no brainer and couldn’t resist buying.

On a separate (but related) matter, the 2.5p warrants have been added to my account in last few days. Exercisable by Dec 26. Generally I haven’t had huge success with warrants, but hopefully these will be worth a few quid by December.

But 1st target is to get back to placing price of 1.5p!

Not quite full take up of retail offer but not bad level of interest considering you could buy in market cheaper. £1.6m raised overall. Onwards and upwards, let the good news flow!

Not sure how selling at 1.3p to buy back at 1.5p is a good strategy. I fear some don’t understand how the ‘free’ warrants work. They give you the right to buy shares at 2.5p. Again, why do that when you can get them now at 1.3/1.4p? I acknowledge that ‘when’ the SP goes above 2.5p you would then be able to exercise them for an immediate gain, but nowhere near the gain of investing at the current levels.

Now 1.5p to buy now in market.

Difficult to gauge how many PI’s will take part in retail offer. A lot, like me will have topped up in market recently a bit cheaper. I get the sense many feel they are already sufficiently exposed. I have put in an order for a chunk in the retail offer on top of my recent purchases. Don’t really want to get scaled back, but if I do that means there was a lot of interest, so double edged sword.

Think I might go for a few more in the expectation of getting scaled back a bit.

There is a lot of potential newsflow over coming weeks/months. Dennis was more than confident yesterday that 2A licence is just a matter of when not if, was also quite bullish on Aftan. Must confess to a bit of FOMO, could be a very exciting period coming up. Then again…..

Nope, offer definitely hasn’t closed. I’ve just put an order in and it was accepted. Wasn’t going to but was intrigued as to whether it was still available or not and then couldn’t resist pressing proceed! I’m with AJ Bell.

Update RNS on Aftan, sounds encouraging. I like the sound of party 1 but just need to get this resolved asap.

1. An established tantalum producer operating in a neighbouring African jurisdiction, which is in the process of developing a tantalum beneficiation plant in Namibia and is seeking potential local supply to support this facility.

2. A party which has expressed interest in providing funding to support the potential restart of mining operations, with a view to re-establishing production at the Aftan mine.

3. A third party has commenced initial discussions and is undertaking a preliminary geological review, including a site visit, to assess the asset's commercial potential.”

No one has to be diluted if they don’t want to be. That’s the whole point and what Dennis states as the reason for this offer to shareholders. In any case, you can currently buy shares on better terms than they paid in the fund raise. There really is no reason for moaning about this, but guess that won’t stop some.

Let’s assume you buy £1000 in share offer @ 1.5p. That’s gives you 66666 shares. This will give you 99999 warrants exercisable at 2.5p which would cost £2500 to exercise. Then you would have 1666665 shares that have cost £3500. If we assume the share price when you exercise is 3p (it would need to be over 2.5p to make exercising worthwhile). At 3p your shares would be worth £5000.

If you spent the same £3500 now you could get 250,000 shares. At 3p they would be worth £7500. 50% more than warrant route.

If you bought £1000 now then spent the other £2500 as soon as the SP hit 2.5p you would have 171428 shares. At 3p they are worth £5142. Still more than warrant route.

If the SP doesn’t hit 2.5p the warrants aren’t worth anything.

A few assumptions there admittedly but for me I’d rather be adding at 1.4p (a bit under that actually) as I have been, than paying 1.5p just to get the warrants. I do expect the SP to exceed the warrant price but for me that just improves the case for buying now.

All that said, I’ll probably take part in the share offer as well! I expect many others will and because it’s only for £300k total it might even result in scaling back of applications.

What are others intending?

I can’t see the logic of selling now at 1.3/1.4p to buy back in later at 1.5p, just to get warrants to buy shares at some future date at 2.5p. If you think the shares are going to be above the 2.5p where the warrants are worth exercising, then why not buy now at 1.4p? That’s what I have been doing, although will no doubt take part in the offer as well. Obviously, if you have the warrants then you don’t have to exercise so it’s a bit of risk management that way but you are paying a price for that.

Thanks poppyseed. Interesting that Dennis specifically mentions Namibia when talking about good news to come (“making interesting progress with our operation in Namibia, we have a couple of people we are talking to there”)

Yes, agree max19, just waiting for funds credit into my account then plan to top up now rather than wait to buy at 1.5p+ in the upcoming offer.

Have to admit that the constant negativity of posters here and elsewhere over recent weeks had just started to make me question my position here but Monday’s RNS backed up by the latest interview have reassured me. Added more today. Dennis is either a world class BS’er or we can expect some very positive (exciting!) news in the coming weeks.

No probs FB, to be fair if Dennis gets his finger out, bad days at work could be a thing of the past!

FB, just a light hearted comment at no one in particular but a lot of people in general (not just on this BB incidentally) that seem to expect daily updates from the management. We’ve had some sort of update practically every month this year, on AIM that is pretty good. We all want all the good news now but if you take a minute to step back and review the newsflow from this year then it’s been a very good year that will hopefully still get a lot better. The share price doesn’t reflect what has been achieved this year IMO.

Got over 10 million shares so no one is keener for that SP to rocket than me.

Is it too early for the usual suspects to start whinging again about the lack of updates from Dennis ? After all haven’t had one for over an hour now!

Have any of you actually tried emailing Dennis directly to put these points and concerns to him? I doubt very much that he spends his time trawling through bulletin boards trying to find out what shareholders are thinking/writing.

When I emailed him, admittedly some time ago, I got a very good reply. Although obviously if he had something significant to announce then it would be announced.
