I saw today an interview by Malcy on 10th March with boss of Rockrose and was quite impressed. They had an update today in lieu of results.Like HUR they are cash rich, but are not an exploration company and both hugely undervalued. If I was a marriage broker I would be tempted to arrange a meeting

Hi longwait
‘chutzpah’ in context might be ‘He’s got a bit of a nerve’......;-)

If you are that concerned save yourself the effort of doing all that research and don't invest.
Oh, and don't bother posting again.
Emm...was thinking of having a punt on this one and haven't had a chance do do a lot of research as yet. But am I correct in saying thst HUR has got quite a lot of debt to repay?
I was at a loss to imagine how the quality (if that's what it is) of chutspah could be of use in poker.
It has nothing to do with bluffing and being impudent (which is the closest word in English) wouldn't get one anywhere in poker, either.
I too looked it up and discovered that although it entered American English via Yiddish and Hebrew, it was originally an Aramaic word, so presumably Jesus of Nazareth was familiar with it.
Not sure what he would have made of AIM, but I imagine he would have called it 'a den of robbers'.
Aduk .... you're like a canary in a cage now....
Your preoccupation and belief that you are special, is nothing more than a fantasy; success, brilliance, omnipotence,
with cards, investment, women, style, (cowboy boots!), drilling, global pandemics, immunology... so the list goes on.
A person who can only be understood by special people, oilman to oilman, indeed ! You exhib a need for excessive admiration and grandiosity, with a lack of empathy and thought for others. WellWell, is not here to defend himself, so I will, he is a smart guy, a critical thinker, always polite, kind and even handed, would readily admit if he was wrong with good grace. Unlike you, the boorish, self-centered, demanding cretin, constantly seeking admiration, thinking they deserve "special" treatment, with a desire to be the center of attention; I give you; the narcissist.
extrader,

"I admire your chutzpah, though maybe you should save it for the poker table."
That intrigued me a bit, because although I recognise the word 'chutzpah', never really knew its meaning. So of course, have gone to wrongopedia to find out a bit more, and got this:
"the quality of audacity, for good or for bad. It derives from the Hebrew word ?utspâ (????????), meaning "insolence", "cheek" or "audacity". Thus the original Yiddish word has a strongly negative connotation but the form which entered English through Ameridish has taken on a broader meaning, having been popularized through vernacular use in film, literature, and television. The word is sometimes interpreted—particularly in business parlance—as meaning the amount of courage, mettle or ardor that an individual has.["
Hmmmmmmm.
Go tell it to Mr Bernstein of Crystal Amber.
If I have any of the 'quality' sides of the thing, I can't use them at the poker-table right now, 'cos they're all closed down.
And online (last resort right now), I've found that downright lying works well...

"It's rather hard to reconcile your snide and unsubstantiated comment re Wellwell and Genghis" etc...
Yes, I'll admit my comments regarding those two gentlemen were a bit snide, and deliberately so. Maybe unsubstantiated, as well. But if a couple of rats go into the water it shouldn't necessarily be taken as a sign that the ship's sinking.
extrader,
"You were wrong on the seawell speculation earlier today and promptly corrected by divecentre."
Utter balls. Don't write if you haven't a clue what you're writing about.
Wrt 'Seawell'.
She was showing 'HALCA' on her AIS a couple of days ago. Which is Halifax, California, just off San Fransisco. Which was weird, because we knew / thought she was going to work for 'us'. Which has turned out to be the case.
No 'mea culpa' involved. Some dimwit on the boat entered the wrong 'Halifax' into the AIS.
As to 'speculation' about the boat itself? Yes, I may have got some things wrong, but it was poster 'Diver69' who corrected me on that, not 'DiveCentre'. And anyway, it was pure tech stuff, and neither here nor there. I had just speculated that 'Seawell' was now ROV instead of diver-spread equipped, but turns out I'm wrong, seemingly. Dunno why the owners haven't done that. But couldn't give a flying f*** neither. Their business, not mine.
Now then. What was your next question?
Hi adoubleuk,
It's rather hard to reconcile your snide and unsubstantiated comment re Wellwell and Genghis with your posting shortly beforehand …"And am not going to add an 'opinion' because it would be purely speculative and maybe wrong. …"
You were wrong on the seawell speculation earlier today and promptly corrected by divecentre.
I admire your chutzpah, though maybe you should save it for the poker table.

JAdam ... along with %'s.... shall we add precognition, as not being one of your strengths, perhaps stick to the simple stuff; tomorrow will be.....Fr-i-day
"See you tomorrow chaps for some more entertainment and another rise on HUR"
Lady Sonia,
"Stobie going and CA increasing holding were only a few days apart."
And now, while you mention that, the recent 'departures' of 'Wellwell' and (partially) 'Ghengis' on here. Maybe their job's done.
micgill,
"what about lady p's pink roller??"
Eff Lady Penolpe's car. Instead go check out CRS. Our 'major shareholder' (aka trader) has started playing with himself...
But we always knew he was that way inclined.
what about lady p's pink roller??
LadySonia,
"Stobie going and CA increasing holding were only a few days apart."
Interesting observation.
"If I was Inspector Morse I'd be driving my Purple Jag to Bernstein's house/Mansion...."
I think Inspector Morse's car was some sort of 'Burgundy Red' not purple. But instead, why not James Bond in his Aston, with the machine-guns deployed?
....and see if he wants to buy it.
AD. [ "The (now departed, we know not why) CFO, Alistair Stobie made reference to the 'lunatic shipwatchers' a couple of years ago. But we're still here, but he isn't." ]

ADUK; What's happened, the medication is working .... "And am not going to add an 'opinion' because it would be purely speculative and maybe wrong" ... Mea culpa !
As for Alistair Stobie... I don't think "But we're still here, but he isn't" is anything to boast about. I would expect him to have been remunerated rather handsomely for his efforts, so will have little interest in past comments about ship watchers or otherwise.
sorry you've completely lost me there pete ?
AK
Think he means Ricfle....
Eek! Caught ****ging teacher barnyard!
ronok.
"Hope we get an update on the seawell operations. There are some different opinions."
Yes, agree.
And am not going to add an 'opinion' because it would be purely speculative and maybe wrong. However, one thing is obvious. 'Seawell' is up to something, involving 'our' assets. And now, I begin to echo p**sed-off comments I've seen posted by other people here.
The 'operational updates' are all well and good. We welcome them. But I feel that it's time that Stephan McTiernman (Chairman of the Board) started to 'come clean' with us. Not necessarily Dr Trice, in whom I still I trust enormously, as one oilman to another. In other words, not at all. But yet 100%.
The (now departed, we know not why) CFO, Alistair Stobie made reference to the 'lunatic shipwatchers' a couple of years ago. But we're still here, but he isn't.
I'd like to know what 'Seawell' is doing. On 'our' assets.
barnyards,
" on a positive note at least the forum gatekeeper is still in bed "
Who is this 'gatekeeper' to whom you refer, please? I'd like to know, because maybe I could grease his palm. With some sort of sterilizing gel, of course.
