Hi moniman, this was taken from their last update on 05.10.21, if you saw it... "Our plans are based on the further opportunities that we see for Greggs in the UK market. In the long term we think there could also be potential for Greggs internationally; we are conducting some very early analysis to help better understand the possible opportunity."
Future looking good for Greggs, still in a huge growth cycle, there’s still so many places that Greggs can open new outlets. just wondering if they will ever decide to go international like Subway or Pizza franchises?
PANMURE INITIATES GREGGS WITH 'BUY' - TARGET 3,860 PENCE
Looks like Greggs have a strong case if you read what happened to others claims made under similar circumstances for Covid 19 ........?
........ The Supreme Court ruled in January that in most cases, insurers should pay out, and in June Hiscox agreed a settlement with around 400 companies..............
Can't argue with any of that, it's been a cracking run and to think we were all willing it to hit £30,
£31 is my own level now.
Interesting piece in the sunday times about contesting an insurance payment for when all the stores were forced to close, due to the pandemic
Greggs are expecting a sizeable amount to cover all losses incurred
I'm a confirmed meat eater but looking forward to trying the vegan version.
UBS RAISES GREGGS PRICE TARGET TO 3,450 (3,050) PENCE - 'BUY'
Dragline...dated 2017..The son of the founder of the Greggs bakers chain has been jailed for 13-and-a-half years after being branded a “sophisticated, predatory paedophile” by a judge.
Colin Gregg, 75, was sentenced at Newcastle crown court having been convicted of nine counts of indecent assault on four boys over a period of decades.
Locked in some profits on a few of my shares to compensate for some others.
Will probably spend some of it on taking the family to see the new James Bond movie and to assist one of my others.
Lots more upside to come from Greggs when the economy gets firing on all cylinders.
Very difficult to post anything negative here
Once there was a pub on every corner now there's a Greggs on every corner.
Greggs ard in airports and train stations which are yet to reach their pre pandemic footfall levels.
The Greggs in Newcastle just outside Aspers Casino has security staff "on the door" until 4am on Friday and Saturday nights. The pizza shops and kebab shops are relatively empty compared to the queue outside of Greggs and up the street. And Aspersions also isn't yet at pre pandemic footfall capacity.
So the ATH share price might pull back a little bit, but £30 could be a good new base level.
Shorts will start posting negative comments from now on
Price too high now, though FY Revenue has been upgraded to 1.2b this is only just above 2019's, 1.16b. Sadly inflationary pressures will mean lower profits than in 2019 and previous years dividend are around 1% of current sp at best even with good profits I wouldn't expect more than a 2% dividend. Value a company based on its profit, middleman push up before fall down.
A subtle blend of capital growth and a progressive dividend would be the icing on the cake
Fabulous, well run company
looking forward to the dividends coming back soon...
Pundits thinks Greggs could make it into the Ftse 100 if growth plans executed. Looking good for shareholders…
Heading towards 32 notes
This really is an unprecedented day given yesterday's massive drop.
Good set of results and it seems to be firmly on the recovery path.
Yes indeed, my revised target is now £40 but not sure how long before we get there…lol
Moniman, looking like subway but with better products!
OK - that'll do - sold the lot @3125. 130% profit in just over a year is greedy enough for me. Plenty of oversold shares to be investing in. Good luck all holders.
Incredible, just Incredible
Wished I'd bought double now ??
Well done guys buying back yesterday. I missed the opportunity and added more today 2978p
Looks good & will increase my holding on any weakness.
ATB
Just about to pay a visit for my coffee and it was fully justified buying back in yesterday
Have a top day folks!
