I worked on the Zambian Copperbelt in the 1980's and we used to receive train loads of Marc Rich concentrate from the Congo for processing through our smelter. I wondered at the time if any dodgy deals were bring done to facilitate those shipments. In those times even passing through a police road block needed a few cigarettes to make for an easy passage.
Dead right. I think they will all be rammed full immediately after reopening and even though I rarely go to the pub these days (before lockdown) I am planning to help with the ramming. Mind you, I have not yet figured out how to drink through a mask.
