I wish they would come with a goverment health warning. They could seriously damage your wealth. How these people make a living from it, is one of the citys biggest scandals.
Sadly at times like this the market makes no logic. If you start buying at 35 that is purely a guess and hope for the best. I personly think it could fall a lot further. best of luck
Since the beginning of october ,several brokerage houses ,among them some heavyweights, have given Gem a buy ,overweight or outperform.Yet the sp has lost 50% .I also think it may fall even further. However ,the long term prospects for the coloured stone market is much better than for the diamond market. Therefore at the 35 level i think its worth starting to accumulate, provided one has spare cash.
here.........as Monte has been stating for a long time this will fall further and how right he was. One poster on here ericeric has been ramping this share forever and has cost many investors lots of their hard earned money. Thank you Monte for sound advise.
To this downward trend sadly. This could well go a lot lower in this climate I'm afraid. Take any profits if any and seriously think about protecting you remaining capital if not. Do not get conned by rampers here please.
fair point, but this is looking interesting, its looking well overcooked on that 24month. cant be far off bottoming out,in a month or three. watchlist. gla
Beware the rampers. You can make the best investment case in the world, but if the markets are nervous, no share good or bad can swim against the tide. This is a risky investment and the markets do not like risk at the moment. In fact they are running a mile from it. STILL OVER PRICED imho

What profits??
Has given its opinion. If you did not listen the first time. Take profits
Auction next month?
Apparently bouncing cats!
Something very interesting happened today.Pretty much all of the big trades ,mostly buys ,occurred between 1555 and 1610 at the low level for the day,45p.And at the close of the day ,the sp goes up to 47.5.Any comments?
trades?something going on here.
Afraid not. The clue is in the bit about it being dead.
Good to hear that you feel the SP has hit the floor monte. The only way is up then?
Definition: the dead cat will bounce when it hits the floor, but it's still dead.
Published on Nov 2, 2015 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tAxaYh6NQzQ Ian Harebottle, chief executive of Gemfields (LON:GEM), says both the value and demand for Fabergé watches will rise after the firm won a prestigious Swiss watchmakers industry prize. Gemfields, which owns the luxury jewellery business, told investors today that the Faberge 'Lady Compliquée Peacock' watch had picked up the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG). The award is widely regarded as the 'Oscars' of the watch industry, and presents accolades in 12 categories to the finest creations and the watch-making houses behind them.
Have to agree with you on this. The chart doesn't look promising.
Dear Nine2five, you are not necessarily missing anything, it's just a few things disturb me, firstly over the last 2 years the SP has risen by over 200%. Is that sustainable? worryingly it looks to be in a new down trend since July( possibly) secondly we have seen oil, copper, gold etc fall rapidly very quickly. Can you see the same thing happening to far less important Gem's? Thirdly some of the countries they operate in or intend to operate in are very difficult jurisdictions. I could be totally wrong of course, It's just most people on here will just tell you buy buy buy. They are the one's you have to question about ulterior motives. best of luck.
If you look at the SOLG board you will see that ericeric who promotes Gemfields on this board posts negatively on that board. So over come Montecristo and mates to deramp here. Gemfields own 75% of largest emerald mine, 75% largest ruby deposit, 50% largest amethyst mine, at request of Colombian government invested in their emerald industry buying Cosquez mine. Also exploring in Ethiopia, Sri lanka and other areas. 100% ownership of Faberge. For latest news take a look at Gemfields twitter and Faberge twitter.
As a novice investor myself it's good to know you've got my back. The fundamentals in this company seem excellent and the growth looks promising. What is it that I'm missing?
Nope! Just concern for their finances. There are some people ramping this share and I have genuine concern for the inexperinced invester
You seem to be a bit down on this share. Assuming that if you were invested you would have followed your own instructions and taken profits, I have to question your motives for hanging around. Is your continued advice to others about selling a result of your altruistic concern for their finances, or do you have another motive for your ongoing negativity?
Looks like a downward spiral has begun chartwise
