You'd think by now GDR would have a good idea about the efficacy of the much touted saliva POC. An update on this must surely be due prior to deployment at the end of March. We need something soon to stop the constant SP attrition. Very poor comms from DB.
From our RNS of 22nd October 2020:
'genedrive plc (LSE: GDR), the near patient molecular diagnostics company, announces it has completed the assay design for the Company's Point-of-Care ("POC") solution for COVID-19 testing and is now generating very promising analytical data aligned to market requirements.'
'The Genedrive® SARS-CoV-2 POC Kit is being designed to detect SARS-CoV-2, the virus causing COVID-19, amplified directly from a saliva sample without the need to extract viral RNA. This expands the potential use areas of the product and importantly, allows for rapid testing to be performed while a patient is present. When running on the Genedrive® POC device the chemistry is detecting a positive SARS-CoV-2 sample in approximately 15 minutes, with fully negative samples taking just over 20 minutes to resolve. The limit of detection is in line with the UK's MHRA Target Product Profile sensitivity requirements.'

From our Final results RNS of 17th November 2020:
'· Genedrive® SARS-CoV-2 Kit for Point of Care demonstrates positive results from saliva in approximately 15 minutes. Development remains on track with launch anticipated in March 2021.
Note:
Our POC - CE Mark Approval is self Certified, and therefore once we complete our Clinical Assessments, we can give our POC Saliva Tests a CE Mark Label and Launch in Europe including the UK !

'The Company is targeting the end of the calendar year for completion of preliminary product evaluations, with full release of the final CE Marked system in Q1 2021 allowing for thorough clinical testing requirements. Additionally, the Company is working to progress to a version 2 of the product, which would accept a similar freeze-dried PCR bead format previously developed for the high throughput Genedrive® 96 SARS-CoV-2 Kit. This will allow for lower production costs and highly scalable manufacturing capacity.'

Thanks for the reminders BigAl and philjpo. It reiterates my point nicely. It's March on Monday so the market should be updated on POC imminently as it's basically been said it works and will be deployed in March. Delaying this announcement does nothing for shareholder confidence. Let's have it!
"The Company is targeting the end of the calendar year for completion of preliminary product evaluations"
Were they on target, if so what was the outcome? why did they not RNS this info?
Must admit communication is next to none. But doesn’t no warrant this 50p drop
They like to keep things to themselves..it would seem. But apparently they are currently advertising for a POC person.... so from that you can draw your own conclusions
Hi Garrone,
I think the next update on our Saliva POC will be to say 'It is CE Marked, and we are now pleased to announce its Launch in Europe, including the UK' !
It will also interesting to hear how are 2nd version of POC Saliva Development is progressing, which would accept a similar freeze-dried PCR bead format. This will allow for lower production costs and highly scalable manufacturing capacity. !!
I was on the phone to HL this morning and asked if they had heard anything about why the share price has been like this since the RNS. They haven’t heard anything. Interesting to see why it’s been low. Must be a whale swap or something
Ne14 there not gonna know are they?
I aksed questions about POC and EU deal.
I have also asked why the number of kits/tests were not mentioned in last RNS. ( Whats point of shipment RNS if doesn't state the numbers, keeping us speculating)
I had written an email to Walbrook, let see what comes out of it.
Thanks for your message. When we have news on the below we will announce it via RNS.
Regards,
Anna

Saves you waiting risk haha
Jay- just thought I’d ask since was on the phone to the anyway. All she said was there’s been some volatility this week and nothing in from gdr to say why
I wish he would realise some fluff
My gut feeling is ,it will be drifting downward until any further orders. People who have bought it at peak, have to wait some time to re-coup their loss.
Annoyingly until they say anything it’s just gonna slowly drop down
My gut feeling is the opposite - feels like it’s going to break out. A 50p swing allows for accumulation with consolidation. Gla
@Guy " Annoyingly until they say anything it’s just gonna slowly drop down"
Is this what you want so you can get in cheap? SP is around this level for few days now. What makes you think it will go down SP have got very good support at 110p and good news and you will struggle to buy any decent amount below 200p.
Fluff.......That might have a negative effect as they haven’t done that in the past and might spook people into think they are trying to paper over the cracks ... I’d rather they only reported when the have stuff to say. There are so many companies on the AIM that RNS stuff like the bins were emptied a day late this week.... just to say something which is ridiculous!
Badmashy how is it me trying to get in cheap?? The week started at 126 , it’s currently at 110, so please explain how it hasn’t slowly dropped without news?
@Guy
Yes Fell down this week but Its at this level for last 3 days. is it not? We had confirmation of shipment last week and BC confirmed the agreement on their website this week. DB don;t have a magic wand to make thing happen in a instant. Sale take time and with BC on board it's just matter of time that'a all I know and thats all that matter to me personally at the moment. i'm trusting BC a multi Billion $$$$ company. They don't do agreements to make comparatively microscopically tiny company happy , their own image is online here by endorsing GDR. Everyone to their own strategy.
Some people think investing is like speed dating! Share prices like love need time to develop, build and grow. There will be ups and downs on the way. True love like a solid company with excellent product will shine through in the end, flourish and be the envy of its piers..... to boot!
