Not everything green is GRASS!!! Hahaha
Ykir...all in RNS march 11... read care fully
Backup for understanding...RNS nov 28th 2023
Simple
YKIR please don’t tell me you are trying to use logic with professional? Lol
You’re better than to waste brain cells on him.
Mr Searcher - why do you think they are here? LOL!
They KNOW things have changed and they want positions (but a bit greedy you know) 😏
One who already hold good with developments coming! 🦉
Yes I agree, things are very different...which is why I'm invested.
Professional - 'Also do not forget powerchina has a provisional contract with... powerchina.... and somewhere in the corner site GCM trying to get a small slice....'
Lol can you post evidence of this professional? Or are you deliberately posting misleading and false statements again?
Jamesss, you say …
“We need to accept that Hasina has been against this for 20 years. Its going to take alot of pressure from the energy sector for her to do an about turn.”
Please tell me that you don’t believe that things are not different now and that for many many reasons the whole position within the energy situation has not totally changed in GCM’s favour!
Also do not forget powerchina has a provisional contract with... powerchina.... and somewhere in the corner site GCM trying to get a small slice....
Good answer Phulbari and well acknowledged.
We need to accept that Hasina has been against this for 20 years. Its going to take alot of pressure from the energy sector for her to do an about turn.
@professional I'd agree with your forecast for a step lower tomorrow.
Toodle oow for now kids.
Phulbari the question was 'what guarantees do GCM have that it is theirs to profit from, in most cases, the Chinese, the Indians and a plethora of powerful intermediaries'.
We know that Hasina can just ignore GCM and not dig up the coal. But if they do want to dig the coal then GCM have to be involved - 'GCM has received a recent comprehensive legal opinion that the Contract is enforceable under Bangladesh and International law'. If GCM were bypassed then the court case would be worth $billions so the fight would be on. But it's significant that Powerchina are happy to make multiple agreements with GCM so they believe in the veracity of the licence and are happy going through GCM. But yes you're right, having the government on board is a must and has been mooted by GCM.
Lucky we have a major International player like Power China on board also.
You ask - why did they quickly move to CONTRACT status from MOU status? 😏
Clever ones do not let their shares go!
🦉
Stats' question is perfectly legitimate. Technically, GCM/Asia Energy are operating under terms of an exploration and mining contract with the GoB. Legally, it is enforceable, but the problem and challenge could be actually enforcing it. If the GoB continues to ignore the contract it is pretty much worthless. Just imagine, for a moment, taking the GoB to court. It would be a long, costly and uphill process and would create nothing less than a lot of ill feeling and a stack of lawyers' bills. For this to happen, the GoB has to be onside. That is, Hasina has to be onside.
There all chin wagging about it… https://www.bssnews.net/news-flash/181951
Slightly off topic of coal ......
"It is absurd that the state-run Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh Limited (CPGCBL), which is constructing the Matarbari power plant in Cox's Bazar, has imported two pipe cutters for Tk 93 lakh. While inspecting its shipment, custom officials have also found the price of two German-made hammers being shown as Tk 1.82 lakh. However, on the German company's website, the same items were discovered to be priced at Tk 1,668 (for each hammer) and Tk 7,232 (for each pipe cutter) respectively. This means that the CPGCBL has shown an inflated price of 55 times more for the hammers and 642 times more for the pipe cutters."

Couple more biggies on here for your Searcher.
YouKnowItsRight, many thanks.
Yes I will do my own research but sometimes its quick and easy to ask a question here and then validate the answer than to find it initially, it is afterall what forums are for.
Yes, I was being truthful about potential investment here, I've watched or should really say been aware of GCM for many years but never jumped in with both feet but current environment and costs do tend to start to play towards GCM actually getting somewhere at last, after what is it, 20 years on Phulbari, wow some sadly but likely have passed waiting.
Stas, I think you're jumping the gun as approval is required first and then we'll take it from there but expecting a small slice of a very large pie.
As for funding, it really depends on who's buying-in, I'm expecting the Chinese to take a slice of the company tbh.
Ohh and James he asked a question and was given the answer. It was your response to the answer that had you ridiculed…as normal. Lol
James you have the upset ,)
Ofcourse GCM can be put to a side. Everybody can see that is a real risk. But that doesnt fit the narrative.
Tomorrow: 6-6.5p range? Lets see
‘3:1 placing’
’get removed soon’
Careful jamess or your
‘I’m invested here’ mask will fall off 😂😂
Jamess check this:

He’ll have as much cash as you have brain cells soon. Lol
There you go Searcher, here they all are ha ha ha ha
3-1 placing soon ;)
And I appreciate helpful input Searcher, there are many very knowledgeable people on here and that includes yourself.
However, I asked exactly the same question a couple of weeks back and was accused of deramping and thinking up imaginative scenarios in my head??
The fact remains, GCM could get removed from the equation so very easily.
Some people on here don't like to be realistic.
Jamess thought he’s at a football game earlier and his team was up 3:1 up 😂
'Stats, you're not allowed to ask questions like that here unfortunately.'
The poster's name is Stas.
Jamesss can't even get the basics right! :)
Jamesss, I think that is really unfair to say that....
"you're not allowed to ask questions like that here unfortunately."
Most shareholders have been more than happy to offer their knowledge and their research to those that ask.. Politely ;))
