Hi Guys, Oh well, back to the real world. CSLT are moving at last, just been offered 9.16p for 250,000 in one sale, first time in weeks I could sell that many at once. Looks like there are buyers coming in now. As I said before, this is almost a Blue Chip at penny share prices. I'm topping up when I can. However... AKT are a real bargain at the moment. Still a bit risky, but I bough last week at just under 15p. When the appeal is heard, I'm convinced that Cerepro will be approved and SP will be up past 35p again, possibly up to 50p. Have a look and of course, decide for yourselves, but I will be swopping my D1 soon and AKT will take a big part of the proceeds.
Cheers for those sentiments mate, have a great one for yourself and your family too. Shareprices, who knows!!! Having just bought an i-phone i doubt i,ll be staying away from these boards, although figuring out how to use the thing for a luddite like me,theres a different story! Good luck with all of yours mate and catch up when you,re next about, james
Cor, you and your oilers ! Decorating done, bathroom done and off to Bournemouth for Christmas with the in-laws ! ARK was a bit of a shock, but I see it as a good buying window, oversold certainly, but still a risk. If the decision is reversed, as I think it will be, they should regain all the losses and more. I had actually got out before the drop to fund the bathroom, so didn't lose out, but will be back in when funds become available. I averaged down on DOO and topped up a small amount at HDY, they were so low I couldn't resist. Hopefully the worst has passed now, and the news of another gas find today has given them a bit of a boost. Well, that's it for this year. I'm turning the PC off tonight and will not turn it back on again until January. I refuse to let these things spoil my Christmas. I'm sure next year will be a better one for all our holdings, especially Cosalt. Have a nice break and don't worry about HAWK, CHAR & MWA, they will come good. Best wishes to the family and don't forget to buy the girlfriend something nice. Merry Christmas.
Decided to keep my UEN for the time being, havent touched profit yet(14p break) but impressed with their movement today and since they are "free" in the sense thaty i,d written them off and they were pounds a year or so back, might just hold on,what did you do with yours?
Afternoon bud, hope you,ve had a successful weeks decorating? I was tempted to have a pop at ark therapuetics but havent, oversold do you reckon or is it a bigger problem. Havent changed any of mine since we last spoke, except for the centrica gone and topped up on mwana, ifl and jarvis again. Would buy more chariot but i,ve got so much tied up in the hawks that i havent got the appetite for any more oil and gas, yet! Cosalt quiet as a mouse i see and your DOO,s are up and down like a tarts knickers, you still in them? Lots of averaging down opportunities but my bluechips are too decamated to chop in anymore,BBY for some reason going the wrong way but had a decent divi through this week so not overly bothered, catch up soon mate, james
Oil and gas i think, about the limit of my research there, 5k at c.14p,not masses but monet i thought was gone nonetheless. My biggest delsters are cattles (1400 quid),and irvine energy (3 grand, ouch), cant remember the others!!!! Be interesting to watch tomorrow
Excellent find mate, thanks for that. Snapshot opinion, hold or sell?
Cheers bud,no access to a P.C. sounds almost liberating.....
Very interesting, cheers for that update, happy to hold and fingers crossed! Just sold most of my centrica and averaged down on mwana and ifl. Mwanas had some recent director buys and all that so who knows. Happy to see hawk on a bounce today, reckon all the oilies are due one, chariots could well be in for a bigger one by the sounds of it!!!!
I dont know mate, once you get that paintbrush in your hand.............................just think of the money you,re saving, whenever a professional lets me down,i relish the prospect of doing the job myself out of principle! Agree on cosalt but just sitting on my 25k of them as i,ve got mounting paper losses on all the usual suspects so am going to sit and wait on everything for the time being, except i,ve added a few jarvis again but might hold them for longer than last time. Just dont think any of ours are going well but will do in time. Work for me is busy, plenty of house moves trying to get in before xmas and the stamp duty reversion,so that normally stimulates some kind of spending, but whether that shows up in any share prices in the near future is yet to be seen. My most positive off the wall take is a bit like the "whats going to happen to the world in Y2K at midnight" i.e. VAT etc early next year comparison,is the capitalist world still going to spin after the new year??? Good luck with DOO, i,m giving that a miss as i think i might have enough shares for the time being!!! Good luck with the decorating and hope you get it all straight before chrimbo mate
Hi James, Very quiet at the moment. Busy decorating this week, having been let down by the 'professional'. Not my favourite task, but it has to be done. Cosalt looking better with the two Rail contracts last week, was there any mention in the weekend press? Strange how SP was down today with almost another .5 mill buys. I think people are waking up to what bargain it is. Almost Blue Chip at Penny Share price. DOO is looking at a possible hostile TO, so it's getting a bit interesting, not much change in the SP though. Not had a lot of time to follow things today, just popping in every now and then. Speak soon.
Well no big weekend pharma finds yet, will report back if i see any juicy updates. Seem to have got stuck on my consolidated bets recently, just the usual suspects really, not planning to buy or sell anything next week and mindful that my broker minimum charges are going up next year, hey that,ll stop me selling too soon!!!! My only current regret is selling those jarvis for a small profit but needed to balance the books after my non-researched chasing the game group falling knife experience where i panicked as they kept dropping, why am i such an idiot! Happy to hold the angels but only a grands worth so in comparison with hawk, moni and mwana, hardly worth worrying about! Cosalt, slightly better news ahead maybe,as long as they dont go bust in time they,ll be a good recovery one. A friend of my father keeps banging on about jarvis and i didnt have the bottle to tell him i sold mine for a couple of hundred profit to offset my 500 quid loss on those game group shares! HMV looking cheap again, similar retail scenario but the yield is pretty good on them, any thoughts? Anyway off now, catch up soon mate
Okay bud,let me know if you reckon its worth going in for. I currently have big paper loss induced mixed feelings about the HAWK dream but confidence as its not just looking for the stuff, just looking for the most effective way to get it out and market themselves for a takeover, now that would be nice!!!! If i had my time again i,d go 3/4 bluechip and 1/4 aim just for peace of mind but it,s now 50/50 so i guess i,m gambling a lot more than i,m comfortable with but need to get back to the starting line and my "sell anything non-bluechip" if i see a profit strategy has been at best a trickle,at worst a disaster as i have a collection of delisters,SD,too it seems, to offset the better choices in that area! I have put a bit into winkworths, notional yield 4.5% and i think a good investment,TATE looking like a good buy etc etc but on that side have the sense to hold on. Mwana may be worth a brouse first thing as the finance director has just bought in,normally a good sign, catch up soon mate
If you got in ANGM sub 5p I think you did OK. It might days, or a few weeks, but these will do well if all goes according to plan. Your HAWK holding is a fair old wedge, more than my CSLT. HAWK will come good eventually I'm sure, but it's taking it's time to turnaround, hmmm... that sounds familiar. I've been looking for any companies involved in Carbon Capture. This will be a big earner in a few years, but the only companies I have found are the big multis such as Toshiba, Alstom, Siemens etc. There is a huge amount being spent on research and Pilot Plants, but I'm not sure if there is money to be made for the small investor. One I have come across is RPS. They are a large, worldwide design / consultancy company whose main interest is in the safe management of resources, CO2 and industiral chemical waste. The website is well worth a visit and the SP having risen from 120p a year ago is down at 200p off a high of around 240p. Interesting one and worth a bit of serious looking at. Which I'll do over the weekend, hopefully.
Misery over, just bought some angels, balance sheet not for the faint-hearted but if they go the same way as mwana, i.e. 4p to c.14p,who cares, was worth a grand anyway. Going to trade less as my impatience is costing me a fortune,so buy and hold and topslice if/when i get the opportunity!!!
Oh yes, even in a can its a beauty that one! Point taken on the angels but not happy today after panic-selling those game group earlier just to see them recover later,i know you,ll say dont look back and thats good advice but today i,m going to be miserable. I havent got any ANGM at the moment and todays disasterous trades have left me with another 10 grand invested in nighthawk but average now under 40(just) and the overall portfolio including the grown up ones down 25% which is quite depressing really and if anyone else says the stock market has gone up 40% this year i,ll scream- clearly a lot of it did but only if you bought everything in march and sold them all in october! I blame the banks, the government and my own impatience...........beer time i think!!!!
Ahh.. Good old Ruddles, one of the permenant 'Real Ales' at my local, it's a lovely pint when pulled properley, but sadly most of the staff don't know what a 'sparkler' is, never mind how to use one! Got a strong feeling that ANGM will rise strongly any day now. The 'Gold Pour' is still on before Christmas and although the problems are still there, once the mine starts producung, I'm sure things will turn around pretty rapidly. The plan was to be liquid this week, but DOO are spoiling the party. Might consider using the SIPP, but I really need some profits that I can realise, Christmas, January Tax Bill and all the other bills that seem to appear at the worst time of year
As you say,too many sweets, bet we could blow a lot of money if we had it on a day like today, hate the feeling of being stuck on a share but apart from my abortive Game group punt going to ride the rest, we,re not alone but there is good news, ruddles county is sub-4 quid for 4 cans in sainsburys at the moment!
Hi boys, yes, good news indeed at CSLT, let's hope for more of the same. I've looked at the company in great detail over the last week or so and I honestly believe it is massively underpriced. I think it is plain and simple unfashionable. Hopefully we will see a change in direction after Christmas. Would be nice if I-Ball TV could do a piece, in fact, I might ask them. This has been a dreadful week or so for most Small Caps. I'm sure we're all sitting on horrible paper losses at the moment. DOO is down 50% and still awaiting news of the T/O, although HDY seems to have bottomed out and I actually topped up a bit on Monday, to get the average down. Also bought a wodge of AKT, can't see any reason for the low SP so I thought it worth a punt. Sorry to see that your HAWK, CHAR & MWA are in a similar situation, but I'm sure that once the festive season is over and PI's start to buy again, they will pick up. I think that the problem at the moment is lack of confidence, plus the constant bad news regarding the economy. Some good buying opportunities around at the moment, but sadly, no spare cash. AVCT is an absolute bargain, as is ANGM. Back to the old sweets / mouth thing. Oh well.
Good luck with that one mate, you,re right sit back now i think, favourites topped up at crazy prices!
Cheers for that, you posted me when i just posted you and noon! Agree on SOLO,out on any profit,HAWK,CHAR etc all holds for me. Have so many averaging down options today!!!
Good morning, hope you,re well? Better news on cosalt i see. Have dabbled with RBS and managed a small profit but also dropped a big one going for GAME group,a bit like you,re hardy oil one i.e.chasing a loss for a corrective bounce which hasnt happened. Also in SOLO oil which seem to be going up but frankly the car crash of my portfolio, i,m going to sell any gamblers if they hit profit, any thoughts bud?
As you say, hopefully a good xmas pressie. So you,re not rushing in on SOLO then! Only bought 500 quids worth, yet another maybe, maybe that one. Just hoping HAWK gets going soon as i,m into an uncomfortale 5 digit paper loss now,do you think we,ve done the right thing going in for consolidated bets on our favourite oilies, actually, dont answer that mate,we know we,re in and we believe in them etc,so time will tell. Happy to hold the chariots, cosalt etc etc
I have now! So they are coming back do you reckon? Assuming they are from a quick read, they havent gone bust anyhow, are you going to sell, hold or buy more? My intention was to dump them and use the funds for one of the ubiquitous averaging down options, but would welcome your take as i know you,ve probably researched them more than me!!!!
Good evening mr.non-reader of newspapers! Okay,in between rowing with the girlfriend and dealing with a clients kitchen ceiling which decided to cave in between exchange and completion and the omni-present staff problem, i,ve had a peruse of the weekend ft as promised and theres two pharma mentions;1.good value/dividend growth, yes you guessed it glaxo and astra.........2. PYM gets an airing under "weekend share watch",its got a wide spectrum of things from appetite suppressants to Parkinson,s treatments,25 mill raised further Cogane trial blah blah, looked like a positive update rather than a plug but i suspect the mention in itself could be viewed as positive? Surprisingly mr.schwarz failed to update those of us on innovation group and its 20% loss since he gave it a big plug, maybe next weekend eh,although it was mentioned in the main section as an update on a highly dilutive 00 etc to play down debt and move forwards and the takeover bit not being mentioned, does that sound like something else to you,let me think.....begins with "c",ha,ha! Anyway, back to the grind or better still a decent war film with the dog, avoiding text battles, i,ll let you know, have a good weekend bud.
