What a faff holding EZJ has turned into
How the heck are we related to freaking RyA???
I’m travelling to London next month from St Andrews in Scotland. Its more expensive to take the train than my flights to Poland, Bulgaria and Albania this year, so unless the flights go up by a stupid amount I’ll be booking more flights as the year goes on
So he didnt say prices down, just not up as much as he thought. Also even in the current overpriced UK people will pay to travel to a cheaper country for a holiday! And every flight I have been on lately is completely full. Sounds good to me, fingers crossed.... shame it was shaping up to be a good day.....
Whole thing looks a bit billy bonkers panicky to me
Stopped clock comes to mind.
Enjoy your equity buys and overpriced holz... Over here I'm happy to wait things out for painful corrections yet to come; as I think today is the first of many more tremors yet to come throughout this summer/autumn ahead. UK economy is very sick indeed.
BA flight to Heathrow from Bermuda targeted bomb threat and terminal building also evacuated. Cant help but think Cameron poking the Russian bear has something to do with it and airlines in for some sp turbulence
A small top up for me, only 100 at 507. Gla.
Never..mmmm, but I think you right on this occasion, just OLeary doing his best to bring down Airline stocks today, he is honest though tbf
Not much of a price war when RYAN has capacity issues, they can't lower prices too much...If capacity is lower as they have said, prices will have to be up.. DYOR. Add at £5 or a tiny bit below.
Never sell..always buy at the dips.
Been waiting for this drop and was very greedy in adding a position here, knowing how well Easy is doing not just with flights but their package holiday booking, which are going through the roof! With old Thomas Cook & airlines operating boeing to take addtional customers from.
More for those who do spreadbetting and had to close. Spreadbetters almost always lose. They take the price down right to where people are forced to close to then make it rise again. Hahaha.
Added at 505p - agree with Mary here - airports rammed - me and Mrs C booked via Easyjet only last week to go to Spain for 3 weeks in September - the air fare was massively up on last year - will add on further weakness
gla dyor etc
Implication is RYA might force pricing lower for everyone else- price war which not everyone can afford-
I'm with you Tav - mms will have smashed the stop losses so a strong recovery for the lily livered. Off to the races again.
Adding as £5 approaches.
EZJ is not Ryanair. Will add more at 470 but if it gets there it is extremely oversold.
Airports are rammed full at the moment and this too will pass.
Just bought almost £6k at 503 - bargain imv - rebound tomorrow.
MILAN, May 7 (Reuters) - Shares in Ryanair fell more than 4% on Tuesday, leading the broader European airline sector lower after CEO Michael O'Leary said ticket prices were likely going rise by less this summer than previously expected.
Hence why all these airline shares have dropped
Sundezena - this drop has legs on it... by all mean buy if you see value but... it's not for me.
£4.70 , i doubt it... £5 defo...adding at £5, a matter of minutes now. Iag and ezj will recover by friday when IAG reports..Thats my theory. DYOR.
I agree with you Stupmy... right now there's many macro issues having accumulated with this Ryanair announcement looking to me like the spark that's set things alight. I'm not convinced this will all be over so soon. I'm seeing weakness in SSPG on my dashboard as well now, it has climbed today to 199-201p but now just about hanging onto 197p.
NOPE !!!
down to 505p now?
495 remains very likely. We could even see 470 or below. Don't forget that we are assuming that the boing issue is the cause of price softening on ticketing at Ryan Air. The market might want more reassurance that that assumption is correct.
Not yet clear if this is an opp we're seeing here. Right now it's looking more akin to contagion/market correction: WIZZ, TUI, IAG, JET2.
