NuckyT
Yes brutal. But this is airlines for you! Maybe time to trade your position? Get your average down! GL
Morning Douggzy
I don’t remember where I read it but here is copy from September 2021 from the guardian - it was a fight over how many planes they should buy. The board won out. Been in and out of ezj since 2013 so tend to read most stuff…can’t help sorry -maybe was just impression I got that peace had broken out between Stelios and the board.
“ EasyJet shares fell 9% on Thursday and it is now trading at less than half its pre-Covid value. Haji-Ioannou has indicated that he won’t invest any more money in it until it cancels its Airbus orders for more A321s – meaning his 25% stake will be diluted to 15% after the rights issue” (Guardian September 2021)
Travel Weekly 4 March 2024 Repeat of Sunday Times art where Stelio's praises board for getting ezj back in Footsie Starting package hold and divi Ends by saying Stelio's first time spoke about board since he did and why he criticize them in 2020 and says he's made peace So I was right I need to know where when he made peace in Summer 2023
Brutal share
I quote the Sharecast news of 3 March 2024 on hl.co.uk of Sunday newspaper saying is latest comments were he called the board scoundrels and he had made peace U could be right but someone is maniping the SP the last 3 weks
As many of us said yesterday that sh it jet would be back up by 5% from the low of 500p. Overreaction to a twit M.O ... I really hate that guy
Https://www.cityam.com/easyjet-founder-calls-for-budget-airline-to-list-in-the-us/#:~:text=Stelios%20Haji%2DIoannou%2C%20who%20set,in%20addition%20to%20in%20London.
Goodnight all…pjs on…tomorrow is another day :)
@Douggzy
I thought Stelios made his peace with the board last summer? Clearly am not paying attention!
All same think he’s peed off with SP and mentioned getting listed in US relatively recently. We wait and see.
It all started the 15 of April Just before the good results When Stelio’s made his peace with the board
Who could they possibly be dealing for, if not Stelios? He and his brother sitting on > 15%
Yes something as been going on with B of A in April with all those Swop s yet last week they sold 3m one day Who are they dealing for
They upped their stake in EZJ, that's about as exciting as it gets
With Stelios/Bank of America?
Georgew1995, hopefully no relation to CW1996, what a complete bafoon that guy was.
Bought A few £0,000's more of shares, all the bad news is priced in, Easyjet profits & free cashflow are positive, expecting good results next week
Chippy Mick gets his comeuppance. He should’ve bought a few better landing slots. Ha
I have added again in the belief that an improving situation in the middle east and falling oil prices will lift all airlines, except Ryanair which passengers will shun for fear ,not of the integrity of the Boeing Planes but for the integrity of the CEO which is a bigger problem!
Well done @sundezena👏I was a bit too trigger happy yesterday and bought at 513.6…we shall see
Good bounce predicted, this should be back at £5.50 by week end. Glad i topped up, very close to £5. GLA.
I have worked it out O leary is actually Nutmegmilk and this is another desperate attempt to undermine ezj!
O'leary has a capacity problem and he has realised that he can't jack prices as there is a limit to what people will pay to fly on ryanair. They will either not go, fly full service or switch to rivals easy, wizz, jet2.
He’s throwing shade at Wizz and their troubles with their P&W engined Airbus fleet to cover his own problems. EZJ are well positioned to take advantage of both.
So a buying opportunity - maybe Mr O'Leary bought some EZJ - - if so a very good call by him if her did do so.
Normal service resumes.
Yesterdays sell off in European airlines started at 14:10 & 14:15.
At 14:06 large sale in easy jet.
Sell off being attributed to M O'leary comments.
Someone knew
That man is the biggest pain in backside. Wish he would wind his neck in. Watch as the “Airbus only” companies recover.
