A modest slowdown of the business plan would sort the share price and defend a takeover. If the board wont listen then bring on the hostile bid!

A US tie up might mean that under capacity EU aircraft can be used on US routes in the winter which are reported to be very expensive due to the lack of competition with recent LCC's going bust or scaling back. Is that possible? They would need the same livery so operating under the same brand would make sense and give an opportunity to drop the 'Easyjet' branding/licence rip-off perhaps.

PB was COO during covid, completely miss-managed it IMO. He seemed to want to wrap up operations wherever he could and laid off staff instead of using furlough. He then had no staff for the re-bound - hence the seat blocker fiasco.

He also closed several established UK bases during covid that are now mostly re-instated and labelled as new 'expansions'.

Thanks Scotty. I have read that but at the end of the day the shareholders will vote on the takeover bid, not the board (they will only recommend) and if the previous post of mostly institutional and Stelios holders is correct then small investors are irrelevant / COOKED!

That means a forced sale & forced capital gain, not good for me.

I think anything less that £7 is basically robbing us blind.

The assets are worth £11B so I would say at least 75% of that which puts it in the £8-9 range. And I don't want shares in AF/KLM or MSC as payment.

Loving the weekend news. KLM interested, MSC approach. What I still fear is a bargain takeover followed by a Clearlake splitting and reaping the rewards. This will be bad for consumers and bad for shareholders.

Totally makes sense for CastleLake to sound out MSC and Wizz the people who showed previous interest. A 3 way deal would create the widest European airline (great for Wizz), consolidate routes (great for reducing competition) , offload excess aircraft (old and new) and excess slots not required (Great for greedy bankers).

The risk is they take the whole thing private at a bargain price and the current shareholders get royally sh4fted just to see the others double their money in 6 months.
