I'm surprised that IAG now significantly higher than EZJ. They just paid back a £850M bond early send shares up 6% .

They could have bought a controlling stake in Easyjet for not much more, which is concerning that they can raise / and pay off so much.

Flights are being cancelled due to poor hedging making marginal routes loss making. European/UK refineries (the ones that are left) have the jet fuel turned up to 11. There is enough north sea light crude supply from Norway to feed the refineries and profits from recently doubled aviation fuel create a race to market for dynamic producers who sign contracts first.

Everyone will pay more (in the end) but the turbines will still spin across the UK and Europe. If not, the politicians throughout Europe/UK are finished and they know it. We won't watch the Chinese, US, Russians holiday while we sit it out in blightly like a 3rd world country.

IMO this is crazy shorted given the absolute low ball current value. Shorters need to purchase 6% of a £3B company to close out these positions. That is £180M of share buys. Wondering which will be last to get that done - or do they know something we don't?

pretty sure that H1 2027 doesn't finish this month. Fuel price is hedged for 1 year as normal. Profits will be hit by this fuel hike but I think we risk hysterics to suggest a profits wipeout.

Just about sums it up. £15 before covid, £7 before Russian invasion of Ukraine. It can't even hold £5 right now which is not far off the 2001 listing.

But will fortunes change quickly? Ever the optimist! Can't hold forever though.
