Oil used to be 50% of operating costs. This should positively impact profitability next year.

Yes, we have had disruption in the last 5 years hitting the September price in the critical season.

It is now the last few days of the school summer holidays. The tickets this week are comparable to Christmas week, probably the most expensive return leg flights of the year. Not much in the press at all about disruption for the entire summer season. A small strike in Portugal and some Israel cancellations.

I think this year will buck the September trend.

On the strikes. There were many times less strikes when more crew were based in the UK. However, during covid, bases in the UK were closed with EU ones receiving better employment protection so roll on bringing those Portuguese jobs back to blighty.

Anyone thinking we might actually get a buy back given RYA have bought back 1.2B euros this year? remarkable given they did not go begging to shareholders like EZJ did for £1.6B overall.

Keep in mind the Ryanair market cap is in €.

In GBP, at yesterday's close, that equates to aporox £11 bn.

My app shows Ryanair in $ at $21B, that is £16B in my book.

If easyjet is 2/3rds as big as ryanair then EZJ is worth £10.7B by the same measure (or 3.3 x current market cap)

that's why we should have a dual stock listing in NYSE, you attract more investors for no apparent reason other than there is more cash in the USA looking for a home.

so someone buying out EasyJet would pay what? they need 50% of the share at a premium of say 30%? that's about £2B to take over?

No bid interest. How low will it go before a predatory bit shows. IAG, RYA have plenty in the coffers.

Thanks, saw this yesterday, he has certainly returned for the investors. We would all be retired by now with RRY returns. I don't see why the gross margin is x3 of Easyjet. I expect this to narrow one way or the other when hedging and Boeing effects work out and into the costs.
