Spent months in Cyprus over the years in several jobs. Back in 91 ish I worked at the Satellite earth station on the way to Nicosia for ESA all through the summer. Great memories, still a lot of UN Greek and British military then but the landscape has changed somewhat when I was there 3 years ago.
Cadellin, I wondered what sort of a nutter my daughter had married when, 6 years ago, he said he had bought into a company called 'Tesla'.
My son used to laugh at me with EMH has to hold his tongue now :-)
With demand only set to grow in the coming years at last it's a no-brainer. ( Or is that me?;-)
No ip, this time it really is different. We were just too far sighted.
Antelope, CONSPIRACY!!!! Lol. Actually, the risk of a repeat of 2016 doesn't bother me one bit. I think the EV market is real this time. But even it is not, all that means is that we have to wait a couple of years longer to witness the EMH Moon Landing. Unless you are unconscious in a hospital and hooked up to an iron lung, a couple more years to wait for the moon landing won't matter. But again, while 2016 was certainly a "false start", this time is different! (wait ... doesn't everyone say "this time is different!"??).
Sorry others on forum for being off-stock.
Ant, i was in limassol until 1969 as a scally brat. Good memories. later on in mid-90s visit and experienced same MrC then so must be bad tourist karma now. Should be able to live anywhere in the World but politics and bureaucracy gets in the way - maybe, one day, our species will be free from its own stupidity and/or ego. I will raise a glass of wine to us all here at EMH tonight in the hope that we do not get hoodwinked by the baddies that reside in the market but get a good ROI. cheers for now ;-))
They still hold those I believe. Something I keep meaning to do.
I went to an opera at the old fort many years ago in Paphos. It was spectacular I wonder how long it will be until they are on again.
There is a large Russian contingent in Limassol, which is why property prices and rents are much higher there as they have a lot of money. Cyprus relies on tourism and banking. In the 2008 collapse, both failed.
I'm at the extreme western end of the island. Paphos is all brit.
I know Cyprus pretty well and yes there are brits in the eastern resorts but Limassol is full of Russians or people from the former Soviet republics. Bank of Cyprus welcomed them in thinking it to be a huge cash injection but still managed to collapse..
Bob, I'm in Cyprus. Which is good, but too many Brits here, with their damn fish and chips and bingo. And it's all a bit samey along the coast... too built up. If it wasn't for brexit, I'd move either back to Crete where I was before here (fabulous), or maybe Amsterdam. Although I understand Croatia is nice. Thessaloniki in Greece too. But brexit has made it far harder. You can't just move there any more. You have to actually emigrate like any citizen of any other third country, and so if you're going to work, you need skills that are in demand, or if you're retired, you need a very large wedge of cash, like anywhere. Brexit. The gift that keeps on giving. I've been here long enough now as I arrived long before brexit.. another 15 months and I'll be officially a permanent resident.
MrC, I was told it was shorters/traders either trying to see which way the price is likely to move, or trying to influence the algorithms.
Its irritating when people configure their stupid trading bots onto one of your shares ! This is what commision-free trading has given us otherwise how could you buy or sell 5 or 3 or 1 share cost effectively ?
Quite right Ant. I really should use FinMark for financial marketteers as I know that FinCEN is Financial Crimes Enforcement Network; a bureau of the United States Department of the Treasury that collects and analyzes information about financial transactions in order to combat domestic and international money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crimes. Some media investigators think that they too may have been co££upted.
PS: what country have you moved to Antelope ? Any advice ?
I might, but I'd like to see at least 2.5 euros.
I won’t get out of this stock before at least 2024, except if I would be overttaken with a silly price.
iplitigator... mid 2016 was early... I remember it well :-)
So, who's 'fincen'? The new conspiracy bogeyman?
Arnaud:
NCYT forum suggesting the same thing about the other 'gold standard' products. I think that market FinCen know and will engineer retail investors demise when [real] inflation figures go public and the crash the markets - in the meantime manipulate as many stocks as possible to increase their purse to overflowing for the recession that will hit us in due course. One remedy would be for RIs to synchronise buys n sells for a repat of Gamestop thus influencing direction of sp. Lack of volume is killing this sp. collectively use the media to get the message out there selflessly. Cos the technical fundamentals are here just the emotion (politics) to overcome. Same applies to may stock at the moment. FinCen are playing the retail investors and they will win unless we become a force of strength. After all our money has beenhard earned why give it away ?
NOPE , IT WAS ALL BOTS TODAY , HAVE A LOOK AT THE aim SCREEN , NO DIFFERENT .
The price is being manipulated imho in advance of stunning news that will arrive in the next few months. Don't let them have your shares on the cheap.
ArnaudC06, I reached the same conclusion in January. I actually had to re-double my DYOR to ensure I wasn't missing anything. Feels pretty good to be on this side of the trade, I'll admit. We are all early on this one. Eventually, the rest of the world will wake up.
I don’t really get it.
There are strong tailwind with constant narrative
Lithium going to be in short supply
Boom of EV in US, EU
Covid raising awareness of high risk dependance to China
Biden plan for Electric trasnition
EU Plan for Local production in battery
Raw material price on a rush
And despite all this, most/all ? Of the junior miners trade with a huge discount on NPV.
Still those NPV calculated with conservative assumption.
Are they all blind ?
Nah FX probably 45% bot to actuals
pURELY ALL BOT SALES rHUM RUNNER
