An EU deadline is needed for polluting buses
https://www.euractiv.com/section/electric-cars/opinion/an-eu-deadline-is-needed-for-polluting-buses/
yet another big investment in a battery firm, obviously this time by VW.
One would think now the EU 'local supply' requirements for rare earths is a myth.
Im guessing they'll pillage & exploit africa/south america for Li as we continually get ignored.
Will VW et al get a free pass on their carbon levels, as shipping from around the globe is against the green targets of the EU?
VW have invested more cash in Northvolt in a $1.1B raising for building European Gigafactories on 5th July

Happy Day 1!
CELLebrated annother step to the future of mobility today at #Salzgitter. ??????
Was an honour to have Thomas Schmall and about 270 nee colleagues here. Special thanks to Frank Blome to make it possible!
Great things to come next week in #SalzGiga, i am already excited. Federal Chancellor #Olaf Scholz visits our groundbreaking event "Power On: Mission SalzGiga" and the whole team can't wait to see the show we worked very hard for in the past few months.

Not enough lithium for electric cars
https://blackout-news.de/en/news/not-enough-lithium-for-electric-cars/
They nearly got it right they left out the word " Gunna "
https://www.benchmarkminerals.com/membership/the-energy-storage-revolution-has-arrived-but-who-will-have-dominion-over-the-megatrend-of-our-times/
and the rest of the world is now just catching on ????????????????????
We wont have electricity bills when we all have storage in our work places it will be common place to charge at work and use the power at home , part of our wage package as incentive . Industry will eventually lead the way .
Watching NIO's live stream of their new car launch.
VW stand no chance looking at this
So was that the Tesla EU supply thing referred to yesterday in that news article?
I should of been EU specific, as Ganfeng own what mine in the EU to meet the EU's 80% target ?
errr.......
China's Ganfeng Lithium inks 3-year supply contract with Tesla
https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/chinas-ganfeng-lithium-inks-lithium-battery-supply-contract-with-tesla-2021-11-01/
China's Yahua agrees five-year deal to supply lithium to Tesla

Richest person on earth (worth more than some small countries) states there's a shortage of what is essential for his company to function, yet secures no deals/supplies to counter his own statement.
Something just isn't right about this whole sector.
Wall street all over this

Stellantis also increased planned battery capacity by 140 GWh to approximately 400 GWh, to be supported by five battery manufacturing plants together with additional supply contracts.

These offtakes must be getting nearer .
"Tavares expects a bottleneck in batteries first, as more EV production plants come online. He then expects those facilities to create a shortage of raw materials for the vehicles. Such shortages have been a focus of Wall Street analysts when rating automakers and predicting their ability to sell EVs."

That is usually how buyouts happen (if secretly sanctioned by the BoD) get the SP reasonably low and then offer a significant premium to a depressed price. Have a look at what happened in BCN another Li junior. In that case the SP was bombed by a placing prior to a low ball takeover -- to this day a lot of people including me think this was/is fraud.
Jiff, I tend to agree.
I’ve started to think this has been worked down for a reason.
I might be wrong of course but it really doesn’t take that long to reassess the DFS especially if you have your finger on the pulse!?
If it isn’t why not ? It is very important!
Let’s be honest none of the timelines have been followed so why try and make it accurate.
A £1.50 bid would not look too shabby when the share price is 0.55p.
The price is cheap but it is only worth something if we can actually do something with it.
I think Severoceské Doly own 51% of Geomet, a Czech mining company owned 100% by CEZ. I assume they will be able to mine whatever the DFS designates as the relevant process. EMH is in Oz....with recent timelines of 2026/27 a buy out above £1.50 would be ok with me, 3 years of delays already for me and reads like more are coming. GLA but if the INKING news is not soon, I need to reassess.
Quite a few comments on EMH being taken out before going to production. Does anybody have any inkling who might take them out? If CEZ buy us out, then surely they would have to contract somebody to actually develop and run the mine, as CEZ have no experience themselves of doing this (or have they ?) Personally I'd like to get to production (or at the least DFS), but if the price is right....
Any thoughts ??
