Volcano,
EKF has been very kind to many of us LTH...in since 13p...RENX, VRCI and Trellus to come. A strong future intention RNS this morning is more than welcome. Yours Pontil
at 45p i said EKF would be a winner and i have been proven right
An RNS to pre-empt shorting - the reason to invest is open & clear so the scope for pulling prices down through uncertainty is nipped in the bud in stark contrast RNSs released where shorting plagues the SP.
A very reassuring RNS. Hopefully this will start to appear on investors radar soon. A great growth story here with solid foundations already in place.
Lovely stuff in the AGM statement today:
"the Board is now confident that trading for the full year will be comfortably ahead of already upgraded management expectations"
Even better are the various plans going forward, which look transformative.
It's also great (from EKF's perspective anyway) to hear that its COVID-19 business will "continue for many years to come".
Plus "We are already in discussions with our private sector partner, with whom we have a recently signed, multi-million dollar global supply contract, regarding the expansion of our support beyond their world-wide COVID-19 testing programme for their staff, to supporting a much broader commercial testing capacity to cover other areas of infectious disease, chronic disease and general health and wellness."
The "private sector partner" is almost certainly Amazon in most people's opinion. So think about the implications and potential in that paragraph....
RNS just out confirming Trellus Health to float on AIM on 28th May, with N+1 Singer as broker and Nomad:
"On 20 August 2020, EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc (EKF) announced that it had led, in partnership with ISMMS, a $5 million strategic investment into the Company. On 18 December 2020, EKF distributed its investment in the Company to EKF shareholders on its register at that time, by way of a dividend in specie of its entire holding of 27,999,999 non-voting Trellus A Shares. Transfer of these shares took place on 18 December 2020 to Broadway Nominees Limited to be held on trust for the underlying EKF shareholders. On Admission, all A Shares will convert to Ordinary Shares."
I am going to hold these. I bought in for the long term so will suffer a dip because it will rise again in to the Autumn.
Hi lawdoc.
On paper, director sales are always presented as an indicator. I think it’s likely the price will ease back now for a period - until core non-COVID earnings both recover lost ground and push upwards from there. The lack of non-COVID activity is fully acceptable, given the whole ‘COVID/NHS/politicians careers first’ approach over the last 14 months. My guess is that non-COVID activity in the healthcare sector will have a very strong rebound as it becomes apparent the scale of the non-COVID missed diagnostics in patients to scared to visit their GP. That inevitable wave will likely re-float EKFs core earnings.
I will look to add on dips because I suspect earnings will re-rate higher than even the BoD expect.
Maybe wait for 65p on Monday morning?
Cheers
intrepid.
Hi,
I was about to dip my toe into EKF on this coming Monday having tracked EKF for a while. The article in the ST today suggests take profits like the EKF Chairman. I quite understand the Chairs need to diversify his portfolio, however, it begs the question - am I too late to significantly benefit from EKF gains as presumably the Chair thinks so?
The Board of EKF Diagnostics Holdings plc (AIM: EKF) has been informed that on 30 April 2021 Adam Reynolds, Non-Executive Director, sold a total of 500,000 ordinary shares of 1 pence each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") at a price of 73.05 pence per Ordinary Share.

Hi all
If you are approached by someone offering to buy your EKF shares at a considerable premium to the market price, please do not engage with them, they are operating an advance fee fraud, where you will be asked to make a payment up front in order to make the transaction happen. If you *do* make such a payment, they will just come back for more.
We have heard reports of EKF shareholders being targeted.
yes open now, makes positive reading, with a strong outlook

Can anyone see the 2020 annual report on the EKF website yet? Looks like it has not been uploaded...
Surprised that SP has not risen today given that EKF still own 4.5% of RENX which has risen more than 18% today following an agreement with US veterans and other government departments.
Now we know what the large trades were on Tuesday. Small beans Director sale in the context of overall shareholding retained.
There's an excellent write-up by the Private Punter (hastings) on SBI just published- here's a direct link:
Posters here will know of the relevance to EKF - here's a particularly specific reference with comments from SBI's Chairman (for clarity I also hold SBI, which imo is very good value as per the article):
"Although PCR testing remains the gold standard The Chairman says “the UK Government has increasingly been using the lateral flow tests, which really aren’t that good, but there are now new tests coming through that give a high 90% sensitivity rate.
We have a relationship with one of these companies and we are going to be working with them to release that across the UK”.
There is also a mention of EKF (covered here on the blog) with which SBI appears to have a close relationship and LeCoque points out that the former now has an antigen test. “Nobody seems to care about antibody testing right now, but we think that might well shift once the vaccine roll out goes forward, so we are ready to go with it. Although we haven’t launched that yet, we believe there will be demand, so we will be ready to do that as well”."
A £1 Million Buy??
Apparently the author ‘would prefer to keep it on the watch list and wait for the pullback to come which will be in the not too distant future’. Strikes me that if the author of the article is so good at investing that they can predict the future, they would have got in at 20p! All IMO of course....GLA. This has been a rather decent LTH for me.
Rivaldo,
thank you for posting this. I have been a LTH since 2015 and without doubt it has been my most successful holding when including all it's in-species spinoffs. An extremely well run and Chaired company. Mr Barnes will continue to deliver even more. I remain long. Yours Pontil
Thanks Rivaldo. Exciting times ahead here imo.
Great new article by Martin Flitton here. Good to see confirmation from the CEO that Trellus "should go onto the market by the end of May", and that a fourth spin-off is on the cards for next year:
https://martinflitton1.wixsite.com/privatepunter/post/ekf-a-healthy-investment-09-03-21
Conclusion:
"EKF shares are sitting at 80p as I write and remain extremely attractive to this holder, given all the moving parts, prospects and an increasing demonstration of strong cash generation. "
There is a write-up in todays Daily Wail by the respected Justin Urqhart Stewart. Worth a read and I shall be purchasing shortly
TT - thanks for sharing but my opinion differs as to the future prospects of the company and how investable EKF are in the medium term. Results are extremely positive, I believe they will stay that way through 21/22 and I also expect news outside the scope of your report that will in time, cement my viewpoint. It’s all about perception of risk and opinions of course.
