Egdon’s SP has always been event driven, any positive event, eg positive government announcements tend to increase the price and viva versa. Yes the price of oil will be a factor, OPEC are planning a price cut which probably accounts for the oil price rise today. However the current worldwide economic problems may well reduce oil demand and outweigh any OPEC a attempt to manipulate the price upwards.
Regarding fracking the newest medium term weather forecast suggests a autumn period dominated by high pressure weather systems over Western Europe with lower than average temperatures and slow wind speeds. It might focus tiny government minds. Time will tell if the current omnishambles will make Liz Truss more risk averse or whether she might see fracking as one of her few chances for a big win before the election.
I was as well as numerous others expecting an update from UJO today about another £1M in the bank or £750,000 for Egdon. Any thoughts anybody or could it be oil price drop taking a bit longer to get to target.?
Stocks down in general. Liquidity very low. Market makers trashing many share prices IMO. Just because the ask is 5p doesn't mean you could buy many shares at that price. Look at the volumes, its just title tattle really, mostly v small trades.
Biscathorpe planning appeal next (11th Oct). Im not optimistic myself, still think local councils will be in control, and central government not implemented anything yet. Give it a few months, that could change.
I am most interested in the Gas processing at Wressle, that should increase revenue for Egdon. From looking on Twitter it seems we can expect an update this month. Last time they said it would be done in 2022, so would hope this is near completion. That would trigger a revaluation once running.
The next RNS here will be seismic. Pun intended. Either buy or fly GreyPanther.
Hi kinfisher. My take on the recently lower SP is that the stock market gave quite a lot of extra value to Egdon when the shale gas moratorium was rumoured to be about to end and, again, when it was actually lifted. Some investors are now querying whether any significant fracking activity will take place in the near future. However, UJO has next to no shale gas exposure, and they I believe they form quite a small part of the IGas portolio. Both have fallen back in September too but I reckon they haven't re-traced quite as much as Egdon.
Any ideas why the continued fall for the EDR SP recently, it is not responding to similar shares like IGAS and Union Jack?
I know the price of oil is falling but EDR SP does not align with this, nor when the budget was issued. I am at a loss.
The market hasn't a fracking clue, must be full of wind and fission.
What a stupid question (BBC I suppose). "What does air look like?"
Her answer galvanised though. They aren' t about to be pushed around by libs on this.

Truss replied that it was important to understand that the government wanted to pursue fracking to produce more homegrown energy for the UK.
ps. Nailed the newspaper readership as per. Im good.
Well.... Zelensky did tell the ethnic Russians to leave. I guess they took his advice! (and their soil)
On Wednesday Johnny messaged “Marks a Telegraph reader. He thinks Putin wants to 'expand Greater Russia'. IGNORE.” . Well the Telegraph just reported “Vladimir Putin will officially add territories of Ukraine to Russia at a signing ceremony in the Kremlin on Friday”. As my old Dad used to say “Stick that in your pipe and smoke it”
We're watching and waiting!
Good God...The silent majority is bigger than i thought !
Well said , nice to hear from more GBN viewers instead of MSM.
The GB News team are a breath of fresh air. The only channel that talks any sense. Mark Steyn is the main man, in my view, but Fox, Farage, Oliver, Wootton and Dolan also do a grand job. Just wish they could interview more with opposing views - the mainstream bedwetting hand ringers still too cowardly to appear. TV that genuinely deserves a round of applause.
Fox has the advantage of being able to speak his mind and depart before the proverbial hits the fan. Also, NF has lost his edge due to being distracted by other money making tours etc. I would be the same if i had spent 25 years waiting for people to wake up and stop voting for the same thing and expecting a different outcome.
so they’ve put Truss and Kwazy in charge. They purposefully destroy the economy, then they remove Truss and Kwazy and everyone is happy.
(and owns nothing)
Yes, and Laurence Fox doing a grand job standing in for Nigel who will have to up his game!

He's back and better than ever. The only free speech programme on the media and under constant threat from Ofcom , so he must be doing the right thing.
Bloomberg also released reports showing that the anti-fossil fuel brigade within the UK were indirectly financed by Russian roubles. The fact Russia did what it did literally hours before NS2 was due to come online says it all. Merkel was the best East German agent they've had.
What paper do you read? The Guardian? And also, do you not consider, what Putin is doing, is expanding Russia' borders? Can you remind us why you are invested here?
Marks a Telegraph reader. He thinks Putin wants to 'expand Greater Russia'. IGNORE.
