It’s not all down to just a lack of communication craig really shouldn’t have put a time line on results or suggest we might. Would have been better to just say nothing or they will be back when they are back think the PI and me included in this would have set our expectations slightly different. Putting that aside we now wait for any communication I’m hopeful by the end of this month we will have a clear indication on drill results licence applications at least where we stand with them. JV not to bothered about right now, I’m more interested in what we have in our earth.
OMI is another significant holding in my own portfolio, much greater than ECR in fact having massively multi-bagged from my initial buy in.
Though, as has been said, OMI has been going nowhere of late due to the general industry wide delays and drop in sentiment for precious metals as people expect a recovery post covid.. However at these low share prices I am eying it as a potential top-up as the long term potential still looks superb.
He's from a geological background, like TL at Oriole resources. you can see the differences in the way they approach themselves in interviews. It's fully focused on the Geological characteristics in the ground and have that tunnel vision approach. Sometimes though, they can neglect to get across to investors other associated factors with the company
Many different CEO backgrounds in this game, with numerous advantages to each. I'm happy with Craig. He does seem focused on developing Bailleston into something significant. But i can understand why PI's get frustrated here with the communication from the company at times, or lack of
@AG1989 - indeed. Also like the tone Brad George strikes and the way he explains the geology.
OMI is a brilliant opportunity in the exploration space.
70.50m @ 3.53g/t Au.
1m@176 g/t
Their issue at the minute, they send their samples to a Lab in Lima(Peru) and they're facing delays worse than I've ever seen
Like most of the junior exploration space, their SP has took a hammering as of late. If ECR started pulling those grades out of Bailleston, it's game on! Only drilling up to 150m, I'd be surprised to wide intersections on a continuous basis (70m, 90m, 50m) etc but hoping for some high grade pulls. Optimistic and living in hope that the XRF analyser will be blinking it's head off and working overtime uncovering tasty grades within the Core Samples
@Impecunious2 - many thanks for mentioning OMI seems like a great opportunity, I completely missed. Spent all last night researching.
Hi, Jack @15.24.
I know nothing about ECR, and can't comment on it (though I have switched some of my money from GGP to OMI, for exactly the reason that you mention). But I do want to say that I appreciated your posts on the GGP board, and share your unhappiness about the intolerance of dissent there. Stalin's purges are the first thing that come to mind; and the persecution of heretics by the inquisition, the second. One needs to think about what people would do, if they were not on a billboard, but acting with real political power.
Best wishes.
Totally agree JTB. How very greedy of them over at GGP!!!
On the basis of 'Bag Potential' ECR is a FAAAAAAARRR better bet. (I am biased ;-) )
My view is I don’t mind being in both due to the cyclical nature of the mining game. GGP are a bit further down the line and therefore have different timescales. Benefits are they are at differing stages of up lifts and falls. There is no rule saying you can’t be in both. Be loyal to your money not a mining play...
Different parts of the life cycle - many bags potential here, maybe (hopefully) even within this year - but highly risked. GGP are more proven up, growth is longer term focused but as de-risked as an explorer can be (particularly from their current shareprice).
I'd rather be in ECR than GGP.
GGP have shot their bolt.
ECR are just about to load theirs and their bolts and targets are far more numerous and valuable than GGP.
