Link no longer working?
Likely the appointment of a joint broker as per today RNS hints at quite ambitious targets?
Emoplugs
thanks for posting the very interesting link.
The CEO comes across as quite confident and capable.
Thank you Tep.
Glad I'm still holding albeit by sheer luck.
As I've always said, but for the pearls of folk like your good self I would most certainly be like a fish out of water.
Indeed, most people make their "own luck" Tep. Dare I say it, I'm even becoming bold enough to look for other companies to invest in.
Onwards, GLA and have a good weekend.
Deep nice to hear you are still in for the ride. In my experience I find choosing when to sell always the hardest. I've been investing in shares for over 15 years now and Its only been a handful of times I have lucked out and found the top. having a price target isnt always the way in my opinion. Any news should feed into your share price value analysis. for example i also hold cna shares and my initial target was 120p. My assessment changed when news convinced me further value could be achieved so I continue to hold there. At the end of the day you can make your own luck !
Tep, I had every intention to sell up and scarper on 2nd August, but had an emergency that day.
Not only did the emergency pan out, but when I returned home I saw that the SP had risen to 34p.
To be perfectly honest, I thanked my lucky stars and even bought a lottery ticket (not a sausage btw).
The long and short, I'm still holding and since then have watched the SP rise from 32 to 36.25.
As a novice this is where I become a ditherer and come unstuck. "Should I stay or should I go"!
I remembering reading a post a while ago (think it may have beem Ports) where he opined that once he always took a profit if his goal was reached and had no regrets if the SP rose further.
So, Tep, is I'm still in and am glad to be holding, albeit as a result of sheer luck than good judgement.
Did you not sell in the end Deep?
Onwards to a dividend announcement, positive FY 2023 results, directors buys, breaching 40p and leaving dark days behind us.
GLA : )
Made mistake and sold slightly under target ( D ) 36.5p, half last buy.
last buy 8/3/21 at 28p
So Cannaccord sold nearly 1% of the company.
Either selling to someone off-market (looking to build or add to a stake), or selling in the market (and the sp ROSE today!?).
Either way there is high demand for DX at the moment. 40p looking likely to get breached sooner rather than later.
Cannacord decreasing their holding but they muat be sdlling to someone. I doubt its a PI.
Some big transactions again even at these higher prices, looks like someone might be loading up behind the scenes. Really not far off that 40p mark now
Decent volume coming in at higher levels
Yeah feeling very positive and reference to stronger margins.
If they confirm dividend should hopefully see this break 40p as planned previously
Really surprised & impressed at their speed, striking while the iron is hot. SP is close to a multi year high of 2021 but the business is in much better shape than back then
More positive news flow this morning
Online retail is here to stay. High street retail cannot compete imho. People will continue to expect expedited delivery for goods bought online. I am not seeing those delivery prices coming down in my experience just like car parking charges. Albeit I expect a timeliness, quality and security of service support when I make an expensive purchase. Online retail brands wont go to evri or postoffice for that service. Can the branding of dx can provide confidence where these delivery co. consistently fail? Yes there are other global players and better service providers. There is enough volume growth to sieze. There are also the opportunities created by the brexit debacle as well. I continue to see value here since i bought in 2018. I have taken profit along the way and the recent dividend has been a welcomed surprise.
Correct. Although to be fair you would have to have been (1) very, very patient with DX, (2) possessed of nerves of steel to hold on after it’s return from what at times seemed like a terminal suspension!
The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient
Good to see the move in the price last week - been a long time coming!
Well said Unhooked.
As I've said on many previous occasions, had it not have been for the most helpful chat on this Board, I for one would have been at a loss, in every sense of the word.
Like you, Unhooked, my average was 30.72p and I too have decided to sell and am happy to take my profit and scarper.
I have little doubt I'll be buying back in but for now will continue to learn from the continuing "thoughtful commentary".
GLA.
Hate to see the 'Dx community' dissipate, as it's been a haven of thoughtful commentary & debate on these chatboards. Myself, I've profitably sold my top-ups, but am still holding my original purchase from Jan 2021, which was at 32p in the hope of better things yet. I guess we all reach our objective (or don't) and move on eventually.
You so correct pianista. but a TR 1 notification would have been issued.
