This has been an emotional, but good ride, that morning back when the shares plummeted when DX were unable to post the accounts on time and my portfolio was showing a huge £120K+ loss in a day . Then nearly a year in the doldrums while suspension was imposed.
Now I have a pension pot 140% up, and personal shares with that will make the tax man happy, not quite the millionaire I'd aspired to be but, if this ride went on longer, I am sure i would have been.
It's been good reading all the messages posted, thank you everyone, I'm off to look at Villas in abroad ...
Well Bracknell is a new regional hub as well as a depot. The RNS also says that they previously shared a location with Freight which reading into this means more capacity and operational improvements from Express and more capacity back in the shared location for Freight. Swindon, the RNS notes that the new site replaces a smaller site in the area so again all positive with expansion for capacity. So all in all I read very positive news within the RNS
I think the portal is offered to the Dx Express solicitors of which we know is profitable but has declined over the years with Technology and sending docs pdf etc. but GDPR and the likes have started challenging that method. So free to existing would give existing customers a buy in from and it’s free use within their community has the potential to gain back some of those lost.
DX Group can, dropped to below 18p last week will be 40p, (after they sort out the mess of their corporate governance internal investigation), with what appears to be, excellent profit turnaround figures, already back to near 25p in a week - keep watching.
Ride it out, or buy more now Black Friday deal at 1/2 price!
This time last year it was about the same SP around 21p, my blame lies with Grant Thornton, late on the audited accounts and no time to sort out.
The hit yesterday for me at the end of the day was £76K, but I'm not worried we are assured the figures are good and I am sure it will come back and more.
Absolute star keeping us informed as if we were there, many of us small PI's are on the edge of our seats, having been to many court / tribunal hearings the ups and downs, the thoughts of win or lose opinion changes and then the judgement - which can surprise the best of us
Well done ISA and hope the catch up on missed work isn't too bad
Having seen my holdings quadruple in DX Group plc last year I thought that a little tickle on Amigo was worth a punt for a short gain, sorry but honest. Just need Amigo to at least double so I can get back to my main gain at DX as this will be 25% up again by August.
If all goes wrong at Amigo, well at least the tax man pays for a percentage of my losses and my Millionaire status before the tax man comes along will have to wait a little longer....
Having been told to watch these and buy when they dropped below 150p in the past I leapt at the opportunity to buy when they hit 76p. To see them fall again to around 46p was a little disheartening for someone like me who is a beginner at this. I then started to see the movement in the day and worked a buy and sell strategy that covered my trading cost, was no further investment and increase my share stock in YU. How glad I was this morning that I still had the holdings. so for those beginners like me if you want to sell tomorrow you will start to crash the price, so if you need to sell just take out your stake and leave your profits to reap any rewards - you can't lose as you've already won
