On this point and i have no evidence whatsoever, but i suspect the buybacks are all happening on UK held stock. But my view on BBs is that - Dec is a reasonably run company with a operating model that works. (The general public and most analysts couldn't get their heads around the hedging model) And like a normal well run home, every £ is accounted for! ( a little for a rainy day a little for savings etc) It's not awash with free cash money to splash on shares. But i do suspect they are keeping back some dry powder for the next set of acquisitions The quarterly dividend, interest rates, negative / false PR gave the company a headache which we are still recovering from. And for balance --- i hold at an Avg of £15.... or 75p in old money. Therefore the dividend is not so great for me anymore so i need a bit of capital appreciation. I am hoping to get back to £20 to make the pain of the last year go. ( They did screw up their last fund raise and that was the start of their problems...... So hopefully lessons learnt - new hedging at their right price, new self funding acquisitions, and maybe even a special divi or two..... over the next year or two. Otherwise the current divi is too low for all our aspirations & risk!!! Just my musings!...
Dazzle - so you’re relying on Orcs to help the share price?
I’m relying on George the grey falling into a huge chasm with a Balrog and turning up next year as George the White with an army of Ents to help drag the share price up.
Apologies to those who missed Tolkien.

That is an interesting point, to expand on that, perhaps buying to much too soon although seems the way to do it, would increase the sentiment to high perhaps in to overbought territory and DEC running ahead of its self causing other glitches… not sure what caused the rise the other week maybe an over reaction, but at least we know DEC has a marginal price min-max that they deem efficient enough to buy back its shares ..there must be a tipping point for now that DEC feels the shares will be less efficient with in the currant metrics… i look forward as a growth share rather than divvy income that by 2026 the debt will be halved. I wait with sauron eyes of mordor to see this prophecy fulfilled with the financial re-ratings

Gas price creeping back up. Hopefully picked up by the US investors.
I believe the previous increase in share price affected the buybacks, unable to buyback with a certain increase over a period of time...
But it's annoying they didn't make up for the missing days with increasing yesterday's buyback!! Ffs.
3750 share buy @ 0853 so looks like same old plan today.
They should have at least spent the missed days!

I see we're back to the uber anaemic BBs again - will they never learn!?
‘Reaction’
Disproportionate relation to energy prices and US news?
Well, DEC closed down another big chunk tonight - circa 5.2% @ $13.28USD / £10.63GBP.
I already had the voting options, through ii. You might find them in your broker's voting mailbox.
As regards the SP, I hope we're not just going to bob up and down along with the gas price. I'd hate to think that these shares are permanently worth less than half what I paid for them.
True.
Oh dear GG - embarrassing yourself yet again I see - I did try to help but seems you're determined to look a total prat eh!? LoL
It's actually the correct answer.
"If you hold your interest through a broker, bank, or nominee (or similar), you should normally
receive directions from such broker, bank, or nominee (or similar) on how to (electronically or
in person) attend and vote at the AGM or how to give a proxy or voting instructions. These
directions should be followed. If you have not received such directions, it would be advisable
to contact your broker, bank, or nominee (or similar) as soon as possible".
'...Where do you hold your shares? I'd talk to your broker in the first instance as they are probably the legal holder on the shareholder register, so would need to register on your behalf or some such equivalent process...'
Wow, that's a pretty awful answer, lol.
Where do you hold your shares? I'd talk to your broker in the first instance as they are probably the legal holder on the shareholder register, so would need to register on your behalf or some such equivalent process.
Fair enough.
Seems not GG - I don't want you getting upset and excited again - I'm just being kind and considerate (we don't want you embarrassing yourself again do we?) - I'm that kind of guy you see!? LoL
So, notrex, no sensible answer to a sensible question, not posed by me, but by another poster ?
Oh dear GG - you're starting to get upset and excited again - you really must try and get over being made to look such a fool - it's something you're really going to have to get used eh!? LoL
'... I'm also now quietly confident I'll get back to BE - albeit slowly...'
I mean, what gives you this confidence, that seems to fly in the face of everything you say about DEC ? And what timeline are you looking at, to break even ? Is it fear of missing out on any fantastic gravity defying rally from here that keeps you hanging on ? What do you expect to be the catalyst to send this rocket to the moon, that has so far proved elusive ?
Notrex, I really would love it if you answered a very reasonable question pickedpeck asked you before you went into total meltdown the other day. It was something along the lines of you have absolutely no faith in Rusty, no faith in the buyback program, no faith that the board has a plan to add any value to the company share price. You constantly post how little faith you have that things will ever get better. So, why are you still holding ?
Hey guys any ideas where we go to get registered for the AGM?
The AGM will be held on May 10, 2024 at 2:00PM BST (9:00AM EDT) at the offices of FTI Consulting, 200 Aldersgate, Aldersgate Street, London, EC1A 4HD, United Kingdom.
