Why are they keeping next dividend date a secret?
Assume they'll announce it on 9th May with Trading Statement but any new buyer now can't see where next dividend is.
Oh dear dear, my eyes watered for a brief, a very brief !!, split second, thinking of our Shorters after Open today !!
A fraction short of £11 on the bid
GG, the suggestion that PwC (the auditors of DEC) should be viewed in the same way as the criminals to which you allude in the CNBC article is laughable. You need medical help.

US up 1% but a big jump at the open. NG up 4%
Greygeorge, there can be a bad apple in every large basket. You might as well mention the Enron Auditors who shredded Enron records to cover up the real Acccounts. Vast majority (99.x%) of Accounting Auditors are honest and truthful and comply with the accounting standards and sovereign law.

HH now 2.145 up 5.41% today and DEC NY SP following (13.68), perhaps just perhaps we have bottomed.

I know it was a while ago now that we were discussing the virtues, honesty and propriety - or otherwise - of auditors, and the quality - or otherwise - of their reporting, but to those who so forcefully defended auditors, here's one for you all to think about next time you put so much faith into 'but the auditors...' .

Dazzle: I'd like to think this is the start of a proper re-rate after that big retrace? As ever, time will tell!

Using the date slider on the chart under the link suggests DEC has been moving with HH Spot prices since the US listing, January gas spike aside. (set the slider to 100 days). I can't help but wonder if this is because no account is being taken of the hedging strategy in US trading? Just a theory, but the correlation is pretty strong since December.
Interestingly over a 1 year view the correlation is much weaker.

Looks like a pipe dream to me.
And them wells have value for CCS. Must say until I read this I didn’t appreciate the potential!

"They're aware of $6Bn of Occidental planned divestments coming soon - shopping spree coming with saved dividend money??"
There is now doubt this is what Trusty Rusty is planning, buy up all available wells so he is in charge of as big as company as possible no matter what is does to shareholder value.
Would be interesting to know the date when negitions started on buying the last set of wells and therefore plans to crash the dividends , was this the reason the SP started dropping as no doubt it would have been leaked

I think this is written by a BOT but worth a read.
Seems to be a bit of a tug of war this morning between bulls and bears…. Shorts and longs…. Interesting to see who wins!
New Corporate Presentation on DEC IR webpages.
A couple of things might inform holders / prospective buyers:
Priority remains debt repayment, sustainable (ie low) dividend, buybacks and acquisitions.
They're quite proud that even reduced dividend is top quartile so I don't see any special dividends on the horizon.
The following explains their BB strategy:
"Strategic Share Repurchases maintain financial flexibility for open market purchases, tenders, and block trades based on market conditions."
So looks like 3750 a day as routine with option to buy bigger packages when prices are low / cash is available.

Maybe a special dividend could be on the cards with in the next three years if debt will be halved by 2026 as well, if interest rates go down and henry hub NG goes up a little (as forecast) as DEC will be locking in another year this could add up to more FCF fingers crossed..imho

You could be right in that the sp may have bottomed notrex.. since april 29th NYSE on a weekly chart shows it gapped down from $14:67 to $14:47 on the 30th leaving a 20c window to fill and since then the sp has fallen to where i mentioned before on another gapped just filled now £13:01 . It gapped up after the 8th april from $13:01 on the next day on the 9th and was filled today around 4pm our time on the NYSE.. havent checked for the 3750 bb shares today on the traded icon.. but im sure if it DECwere buying around these price it may be around the bottom side…imho
