Can see the SP getting near and staying around 30p, untill ,april 8th. Then NASA will start to ask where the DDD sp got its rocket boosters from
Business description DDD Group develops and licenses IP and technologies in the TV, PC and mobile markets for converting 2D content to 3D and supplies originally made 3D content.
Valuation: Continuing strong growth potential DDD has established a strong position in the 2D to 3D conversion market across multiple display segments. In 2013, management expects to add licensees in new 3D consumer markets and to expand Yabazam!’s content availability. We continue to believe that DDD should be able to participate fully in the growth in the 3D market through its 2D to 3D offerings in the 3D TV, PC, gaming, mobile and content markets.
Maintaining FY13 until prelims, expected in April In recent months, DDD has announced the expansion of the group’s Yabazam! 3D Smart app on both Samsung and LG Electronics 3D platforms, the launch of 3D gaming technology incorporating DDD's software in i-cafes throughout China, as well as licensing rights to Samsung to undertake offline conversion of content from 2D to 3D. We anticipate an update on these new revenue sources when the group reports FY12 results, expected in April. Until then, we are maintaining our FY13 estimate, which includes a more than doubling in normalised EPS to 1.9c.
Compared to FY11, royalty-based shipments by TV chip manufacturers grew 67% and PC software shipments grew 172%. While mobile IP shipments declined by 58% due to delays in next-generation mobile and tablet 3D display panel availability, management is expecting a return to growth in 2013 with the emerging demand for tablet PCs with 3D functionality. In light of the positive trading update for FY12, we are raising our normalised EPS estimate to 0.9c, up from 0.6c. This takes account of the higher than estimated revenue and gross profit, as well as a small increase
DDD provided a FY12 trading update highlighting that total revenue for FY12 is expected to be $8.6m, up 56% from FY11. Gross margin is expected to be 97%, up from 94% in FY11. With both these metrics ahead of our estimates ($8.0m revenue and 95% gross margin), we are raising our normalised FY12 EPS estimate to 0.9c, up from 0.6c. This is a strong performance, as the group continues to leverage demand for its TriDef 3D technologies, with c 15m units shipped in FY12, up 67% from FY11. We are maintaining our FY13 estimate at present and will review this when DDD reports its full FY12 results, expected in April. The balance sheet remains strong with net cash rising $0.5m in FY12 to $3.6m. Since December, DDD shares are now also trading as ADRs on the US OTCQX market (DDDGY), which provides US-based investors with easier access to dealing in DDD shares.
A push through 26p would be good to see, and a sustained rise.
"500"...Au

Thanks all. Seems very upbeat, we may at last see some significant movement here.God knows I`ve waited long enough!
Trying to buy, keeps saying unable to obtain quote, try again! There must be ways of encouraging holders to sell portion of their holdings?
Chris Yewdall, DDD's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Continued demand for DDD's TriDef 3D technologies has resulted in another strong set of results and as the 3D consumer market continues to grow, we are exploring emerging revenue models. These include the provision of originally made 3D content to the growing number of 3D consumer devices through our Yabazam! service. "We continue to make solid progress with our latest TriDef solutions for Android-based tablets and smartphones, and we expect to conclude further license agreements in this growth market. "For 2013, we will continue to focus on supporting our existing licensees, securing new licensees in new 3D consumer markets, further expanding the library and availability of the Yabazam! content portal in TV and tablets and evaluating opportunities to license the Group's international patent library." DDD expects to publish its full year results for 2012 on 8 April 2013.
Thanks for that. Last paragraph was missing, any chance of posting the rest.Ta
Year end trading update - strong royalty revenue growth DDD Group plc (AIM: DDD, OTCQX: DDDGY, 'DDD,' the 'Group'), the 3D solutions company, today issues a trading update for the financial year ended 31 December 2012. The Group expects total revenue for the full year to be approximately $8.6 million, up 56% from 2011 and in line with the Board's expectations, as DDD continues to leverage demand for its TriDef 3D technologies in the television (TV), personal computer (PC) and mobile device markets. Gross margin is expected to be 97%, up three percentage points from 2011. Cash and receivables (including earned royalties) at the end of the period were in excess of $5.1m of which net cash was $3.6m (net cash as at 31 Dec 2011: $3.1m). The Group has no debt. Demand for the Group's TriDef® 2D to 3D conversion products rose again, with approximately 15m units shipped, up 67% from 2011. This brings the cumulative number of consumer devices shipped with TriDef 3D to more than 26 million units worldwide at the end of December 2012. Compared to 2011, shipments by TV chip manufacturers grew 67% while PC software shipments grew 172%. Mobile IP shipments decreased by 58% due to delays in next generation mobile and tablet 3D display panel availability. The Group expects mobile shipments to return to growth in 2013 on the back of emerging demand for tablet PCs with 3D functionality. DDD introduced its Yabazam! 3D Smart TV app during the year on both Samsung and LG Electronics' 3D TV platforms. The growing library of Yabazam! content is now available on a video on demand basis in 13 countries and recently became available in the United States for a monthly subscription. The Yabazam! Smart TV app has now been downloaded almost 250,000 times and is being viewed by over 2,100 users daily. Yabazam features a wide range of 3D content, including independently produced 3D movies, documentaries, live action comedies and animated features from producers around the world and DDD releases new 3D titles on a weekly basis. During 2012, the Group licensed certain patent rights to Samsung Electronics under which Samsung may undertake offline conversion of content from 2D into 3D. In December, the Group completed a listing on the OTCQX® marketplace in the United States under the symbol DDDGY to provide US-based investors with easier access to DDD shares. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas in January 2013, DDD debuted a number of new 3D solutions aimed at the growing market for 3D mobile devices - including smartphones, tablets and personal media players. Chris Yewdall, DDD's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Continued demand for DDD's TriDef 3D technologies has resulted in another strong set of results and as the 3D consumer market continues to grow, we are exploring emerging revenue models. A very nice update for you this morning. Dont think this will remain quiet much longer!
Samsung announced in January 2012 that it was selling 2 TV's per second. Today Samsung, DDD's largest customer, announced that it is now selling 3 TV's per second. http://thenextweb.com/gadgets/2013/02/04/samsung-is-selling-three-tvs-every-second-in-a-bid-to-dominate-the-living-room/
Big techno forum in monaco today by Samsung to showcase new products. May help ddd.
"Techinvest is the only investment newsletter with years of experience in successfully helping investors make money from the tech sector of the London market. Every month since 1984 we've been telling subscribers - including institutions, analysts and private investors in more than 50 countries - what to buy, hold and sell in this exciting sector." I don't know what moves DDD. I think it should be a lot higher but it is not . I do like Techinvest. I like their thinking, their digging and their record.
Sounds good. Is this the reason for the flurry of sp activity in the last few days?
DDD Group (DDD; 21.75p) licenses its TriDef 3D technology to manufacturers of consumer devices for use in TVs, set-top boxes, laptops, smartphones and tablets. The technology is the result of a 15 year development effort by the Company and can process various sources including broadcast TV, IPTV or optical devices. For instance, in the TV market TriDef 3D is packaged as firmware, allowing chip manufacturers to integrate it into their chip designs. Industry forecasts suggest that 75% of all TVs being made will have 3D capability by 2015. Not surprising then Samsung is a major customer. Results for the half year to June 30 last showed a first-time profit, with a total of 7 million TriDef 2D to 3D units shipped during the period across all platforms. Consensus forecast for 2013 calls for eps of 2.3 cents (1.4p), double the expectation for 2012.
3D TV will be a hit and miss thing, I have a 3D TV but rarely use it, but I would not buy a TV if it did not have the 3D option. My guess is that 3D will become a standard feature just like HD or Virtual surround sound and iplayer. Samsung announced last year that they are selling two TV's per second. http://thenextweb.com/gadgets/2012/01/09/samsung-is-currently-selling-2-tvs-per-second-will-add-more-smart-interactions/ http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/09/samsung-sells-2-tvs-per-second-plan-huge-smart-tv-push/ DDD will be releasing the royalties figures soon, I have no idea how much royalty they will receive for each TV sold? If I take a complete shot in the dark and take a guess at £1.00 royalty for each unit sold. then we have the royalties from smartphones tablets and what ever other uses Samsung and LG find for the Tridef technology. DDD have great team of people, this share has got to be winner.
This is the only co I`ve got money in where I have no idea where the sp is going. I know its thinly traded so fluctuations can be quite wild but even by ddd standards its a bit weird.
DDD CEO stated 1/15/2013 at CES that DDD will post 60 - 70% revenue growth in 2012. I posted this interview earlier but think any expected trading update will be near this expectation - hopefully higher. http://www.mtbs3d.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=13256:mtbs-tv-interview-with-ddd-at-ces-2013&catid=37&Itemid=75
